They say a composer writes objectively no matter what his inner emotions, but here we can say that THIS composer likely felt loneliness of the heart as he composed this enchantment--the haunting melody seems to suggest so.

In classical music, you enjoy individual talent and originality. It will never do keep comparing the likes of Justin Bieber to these great composers. They are miles apart. This is music that soothes and puts your very soul at rest as compared to the heart rending beats of hip hop that just go to increase one's BP for nothing cos of the hyped noise & unconventional/rebellious grooming of its artists. This music on the other hand lasts forever, never fades, never wanes. Bravo Tchaikosky!

@thorwaldjorgensen Yes, Ill let you know. :) The difficulty is that it's originally a piece for voice and piano and there are a lot of different arrangments around here. The voice here has been directly replaced by a violin. However I don't know what has been done for the piano part. Looks like there are some violins and cellos in the background sharing it.

Sehnsucht is not Loniliness, I think that the english language doesn´t have a better word for it. It´s the connection of two words that means an almost dieing search of something... It´s the infint search of something! I´m brazilian and here we have a true word for that: "Saudades", this is when english people say: "I miss you". This miss is that thing that people search with their heart. (Sehnsucht)
