Why doesn't Bama form the state (outline or mass) or have the team run through an "A?" Alabama's sound is great, but please rewrite this pre-game so it is not full of cheers and spelling--its kinda pathetic and cheesy.
As big of a Bama fan as I am, its hard for me to say this but I have to: the MDB is just lame. Every band that comes to Bryant-Denny plays with more enthusiasm and passion than the MDB. Go look at UT, AU, Michigan, LSU, and Ohio State bands' pregame entrances. They blow our's out of the water. Everytime I go to Knoxville, I get chills watching them do the T formation for the team to run through, and I Hate UT. The MDB needs to remember that they are there for the fans, not for Ozello's amusement
I agree with you if youre talking about pre-game. UT is best. But, bama does have good half-times. UT and Bama split on good half-times. Bama is much more entertaining in the stands, and bama plays better and with bigger sound. UT though has a great parade and then their pre-game is terrific. Bama's pregame is soooooooo "high school." Bama has best fight song ever tho! Bama's uniforms are more attractive. UT's uniforms are great idea with the whole cadet look, but need to be updated.
I always love getting to the stadium thirty minutes before kickoff (at least) in order to see the whole pre-game show, starting with the video on the jumbo tron, to the warm-ups, all the way to the players charging out onto the field like a herd of elephants ready to stomp the opponents into the ground.

Okay dude, grow up. Trust me when I say we're not competing. Nobody's keeping score and there are plenty of good high school musicians for everybody. Marching bands put on shows, that's it. Nothing more. Do your best and stop trying to validate yourself by tearing others down. Every time you were in T-town and our fans cussed you out in the stands I was there yelling back at them because so band should have to take that shit, so hope your team can stop Tebow and play the music. Good band but have no tradition. Pride of the southland band pregame is built on tradition and doesn't change each year like bama's.

MDB is better and bigger than most bands in college football. They have a great sound, and it's also one of the most recognizable.
I've seen Auburn and many other band's pregames...but Bama's is better by a wide margin.
The MDB is just better in many categories...sound, music, the amount of members.
Just a world class band.
