I don't think there were too many effects! In my honest opinion, it made me forget that they were just a bunch of cartoons just edited to sync with music, which gets tiresome after a while. It made all the characters something totally different, and halfway through, you see them telling you about the message of the song and forget where they come from. Awesome video, in my opinion.

I really liked the Lion King bit with 'going back in time'. The typography parts were also a really nice touch to the video. Also loved the lip-syncing, the Dodger clips were sick.
