Some of the cabinets, parts, and art work looked very good on some of those machines, a few dangers would have been parts flying off and hitting someone below or a car, or machine catching someones leg or losing balance while tossing it over or damaging the exhaust duct.
You should all die for destroying history. Would you walk into a museum and start ripping up paintings because they were dirty? "oh this Picasso is in sad shape, it must be destroyed"
Damn man, people woulda bought those machines - not for much, but they'd have bought them, fixed them up, and had them playable. Instead you flung them off the roof for a publicity stunt. Shame on you.
You have NO IDEA how MUCH I'd LOVE to do the very same thing to this ancient computer system that I have to use at work! I DO hope those pins WERE unserviceable junk, though.
(For tech heads, in case you're at all interested, Unix (c) 1989, Interactive Operating System 5, Paragon ProType Publishing System ... I need to upgrade my job)
Fucking AWESOME! Todd you rock! I'm pleased to see TNT do these things, to make sure that folks realize they are millions of machines out there, and many are garbage and not worth the hobby. Some things need to be destroyed, and 'parted' out via gravity feeds. That last pin's glass didn't break.
Todd Tuckey is my hero, what a game operator dream boat.
Next time you wanna throw games off the roof, let me know... Ill be more than happy to send you my address and you can send them to me instead! I would have loved that street fighter pinball or the afterburner game!
@hememsot Hi! I am hoping to have the DVD's available for purchase before the Allentown Pinball Show which is third week of May. I will be happy to contact you when they are ready! Todd
@kubakiller Hi! If I do not sell at least 5 games a week, I am going to start tossing them off the roof! If you want to avoid this, I suggest you ask Mom or Dad to drive you over in the family station wagon and buy a game a week to SAVE this from happening! I will sell you the waterlogged or rusty cabinets for just $50 to $100 each!!! Then YOU can put $800 to $1000 of YOUR money into them to "fix up"! Well???
Mad, Mad, Mad, Why distroy pinball machines, working or not. To sum people thay would be worth money. Or for someone to restore them, even the back glasses would be worth something. In my opinion that was a waist of good pinball machines... Shame Shame Shame !!! :-/
@tntamusements That was a awesome comeback todd LOLZ, I know the feeling, My waist is up to 42 inches, While I dont condone throwing games off rooftops, I can understand kings concern., some of the parts are ebayable still, If thats even a word, Maybe you gutted the good stuff before the exacution hahaha. Get me my Jungle king soon thnx
Are you REALLY sure you want to use that for you infomercial, Because You just showed how you don't even care how valuable these machines are. And I'm glad you didn't smash the one at 5:04 , That was a freaking collectible rare arcade machine
@TheMike16112 Hi Mike! We originally threw two games off the roof for the 2001 Infomercial which is also up on YouTube to prove that we DON'T sell waterlogged, rusty, worn out machines. (Got the idea from David Letterman when he threw a Spiderman pinball machine 30 stories up in 1999.) If you listened to the dialogue during the Moon Base sequence you mentioned, you can hear me quite upset-as that game is part of my 100 cabaret and mini collection of games--which is for future museum display!
@tntamusements You can have a discount section for them, Some people like buying old worn out pinball and arcade machines to restore, And If the are damaged beyond repair they can still be salvaged for parts, someone could find use for a old pinball machine that doesn't work
@TheMike16112 I suggest you do a search on the groups and see the HUNDREDS of games I have sold over the years as-is, and STILL could find buyers. This is when we were getting out of a gigantic warehouse. I HAVE donated over 300 machines FREE to many organizations over the years also.
David Letterman has been throwing stuff off his roof for years and people laugh and are entertained. This is just as good. Some people have no sense of humor. So, thanks for the entertainment and may your trash become someone else's treasure (those who might have picked your trash cans later!). Three cheers to Todd!!!
Not every game can be saved. Lots of games die worse deaths by neglect, rot, burned, etc. etc. You've given lots of games and parts away. I remember when you'd set cabinets outside and only ask people to take the whole thing, and many would grab parts and leave you a mess to clean up.So eleven years ago you had some fun instead of trash mashing them. Big deal. you're still a great man and always will be. Thanks for the memories.
If you desire, why not watch an ENTIRE arcade full of classic games like Ms Pacman destroyed by the "Human Wrecking Balls" reality TV show!! just do a google search to find the post!
or how about the Rolling Stones pinball smahed or a Frogger smashed?? do a google search on YouTube
I've worked with Todd before and I also happen to know his family. Since they are being thrown from the top of his building, they are truly no longer of value. This is simply the last bit of amusement that these "beyond salvation" systems can provide before going into the trash. He makes his living fixing these classics, if he did this to his entire inventory, he would be out of business. Plus, it's good to test gravity once in a while ;)
Todd: I watched the video. I laughed, I cried and then ran into the street screaming. You're cinematic genius. While other directors are out there destroying perfectly good cars, buildings and polluting the air with acrid conflagrations; you my friend are doing a public service. Removing inferior and sometime spurious entertainment consoles from public purview. And of course, you broke the machines up for careful recycling. I salute you and so should your fellow citizens. I say if Saddam Huss
i recently smashed a williams Hurricane but i gutted everything first, By the look of it all these machines looked stuffed and gutted, The gotlieb pinballs are crap anyway
I have DONATED over 300 machines to non profit organizations, I have given away FREE dozens of games to collectors over the years. Simply look at all the old threads! Many, many others have combined two and three games to make one, and then dumped the remains! Last year I had pinball machine heads lined up outside my loading dock for two weeks and NO ONE WANTED THEM!! So they got smashed and thrown into the dumpster! EVERY day around the country, games are getting wasted! Its a FACT!!
@tntamusements We tried giving away Flashes and Gorgars last winter posted ad on craigslist only 1 person replied. Your probably saving time and money by throwing off roof, less time with the hammer to break up. Give away for free then people start bugging you for parts and advice.
its painful to watch, those cabinets and parts would be useful to some one wo wants to do some leet hacking.

If you have heaps of pinball machine to offer there are people outside of US that are interested in them as well.
Pack a container and offer it for transport cost only and see it sail away

Should have given them away as a marketing ploy to get people into the warehouse to see the stuff actually worth selling.
