listen theres is no bad sub it just depends on what amp u have i have a sony xplod 10 and a pioneer 10 in my truck hooked up to a jbl amp and they hit harder then my buddys 2 memphis 12s so you just gotta know how to work shit lol and make it happen ill prob buy 2 more sonys and 2 more pioneers and fill up my back seat and it will only cost me anout $300

My brother in law he likes all this stuff, he was on a low budget but he got 2 Kicker L7 and 2 Hifonics amplifiers, a couple mids, epicenter, and a lot of other stuff and man that thing is the shit. It sounds so good. I dont really like systems but he got me interested. He now wants to sell it because he wants to upgrade.

You should get some Kicker, not saying that Pionner is bad but Kickers make good sound.

38 is a tad high, and if you want lows make a big box too, size of box matters alot too with what range you're hitting.

I've got 2 of those , each box is 1.87 cubic feet and tuned at 35hz. With pioneers PRS-D2000SPL pushing 2000rms. On term lab mics I hit 137.3 with the car turned off.

My unofficial score with the car running, and 13.9 volts, I hit 141.1 on some Young Jeezy and 143.4 at 41hz, I'll do better when I get some d-mat down and seal the trunk off. My car just had a powered head unit, and yours should too.... Just swap it out. It doesn't have a stock amp hidden, it's just the headunit that's powered...

im getting 1 premier 3000 watt sub. and i alreaddy got my power acoustik 3000d amp. its a 1 ohm mono block. but the sub is 4 ohm. going to wire it down to 2 ohm though.
