@L3gendaric the OC version means the manufacturer sends it to you already overclocked, but you can OC more if you want. I ordered the EVGA GTX 570sc for $350 how much is the MSI?
@struggle375 340 ^^! could you pls tell me your complete setup? i'm buying a new rig (and i wanne play bf3 and other high end games). i had some ideas myself, but yesterday somebody told me my powersupply was not 'strong' enough :(
@ApplicationAndroid Drops some fps in games like Crysis 2 or Battlefield 3, but with high resolutions I suggest you get the 2560 mb version of this card by EVGA, so your card won't have memory problems.
@Dirxano i wish there was a real 2,5 gig version of this card with a good quiet cooler. from msi for example. i dont realy like the EVGA plain rference designs.. :/
It's definitely a great card, mine is the EVGA GTX 570 HD SD, I mainly use it for Microsoft Flight Simulator X which is more CPU than GPU bound, I can see how it uses all its power while running the program and just uses 40-50% of the available memory and temps go as high as 70ºC and as low as 41 in idle with 35ºC of ambient temp... the card has 2 fans and I only dislike thats its a bit noisy with fans runing at more than 50% of the maximun RPM.
@TheNewbity ok, first off, i'm a noob in the way of computers, but i know that anything over 8 gb of RAM is overkill, and you'd be better off getting an i7-2600k instead
@TheNewbity take the intel core i7 2700k or 2600k (only 100MHz faster)with z68 motherboard (asus or gigbayte)and i dont think someone need 16 GB go with 12 or 8 GB
@TheNewbity id stick to to an am3+ with bulldozer MB. it should be much cheaper and provides enough gaming speed at a lower price. 16gb are too muc i guess, 8 are fine. with this cash you should consider getting 2 gtx560 ti instead of one gtx 570. still your system would be top notch. (except for metro 2033, since in dx11 it remains a beast...)
Yaay I just bought this BITCH!!! However I done bought a Gigabyte superclocked version with a BAD ASSED MOTHA FUCKIN 3 FAN HEATSINK CUNTS!!!! Comes right out the box surpassing GTX 580 stock performance. Please let me iterate this to AMD fanboys. I love AMD. In fact I have owned nothing but Radeon cards for the past 6 years. B4 this I bought a 6950 w/ unlocked bios to 6970. This card smokes my 6970. It just per forms much better. I get much more stable framerates oh and PhysX is the shit
@Bluetibald The 570m is nowhere near the 570. They're not the same card. I almost bought a laptop. Would've spent 2400. Built my own desktop for 1000 and twice the performance.
I want to buy this system but im not sure if i can handle all incoming games in the next 2 years or so, or even the games that are released nowadays, can someone with more computer skills than me tell me this ?
@Vlatsie Yeah, that should be fine for all games out today. The only thing that could use improvement is the processor. With those specs you should have no problem getting some really good performance from big games out right now, such as CODMW3, Battlefield 3, and Skyrim.
@guitarhero1777 Thanks for your reaction, i orderd it last night but im not to happy bout it haha, from what everbody is saying the intel proccesors are way better. oh well, enough time to buy one next year.
@lafanter The stock 570 is faster than the 6950 and nearly as fast as the 6970. In fact actual in game performance is better than the 6970 in a few games. I recently built my system and was really leaning towards a 6970 because of more vram and it is a bit faster. Then EVGA released a 2.5gb gtx570 which I bought and put in my build. I would say you could not go wrong with any one of them. I just bought the 570 because it is a very quiet card.
@averyneilson12 6950 beats the 570 in some games, loses in others. Depends on personal preference. I would say though that a 6970 beats a 570 in terms of a fair test platform, but you should see what you favourite games are optimised for and then choose :)
Right i have to make a decision, i need to choose between A nVidia GeForce GTX 570 or a ATI Radeon HD6970 2GB GDDR5.... What do you think ? which one should i go for ??
This may sound like a nooby question but. I have an ATI 5770 1gb GDDR5 atm. I have a 350 watt power supply ( i know i will need to update it). I want to run the upcoming games, skyrim and battlefield 3 on full spec, although i know my current card will not. Will this card run them at the highest settings? Is it a large step up from my current card? And what power supply will i need ? thanks :)
@xRoccaTxLoL : ASUS Crosshair IV Formula AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard. Overclocking made easy, great reviews, and a good deal over on Newegg.
@kn1b1s95 It maxes out at about 400-415 watts on full load, which doesn't leave much juice for the rest of your system. Unless your PSU has a beefy 12v rail and super effecient cooling, I would not expect it to last long. An upgrade would probably be in your best interest. You could however, run a gtx560ti or standard version without any issue.
NEWS UPDATE (This is not spam, but the truth): As of right now, September 21, 2011 the Cooler Master Silent pro 850 watt and 1000 watt modular power supply are being sold on Amazon for $89.99 and and $129.99 respectively. This is one hell of a deal and I couldn't help but snag the 850 watt psu last night! TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS DEAL WHILE IT STILL LASTS!
@IIxXGhostTrainXxII Certain cards are better than others for certain games.. Just cause always runs better on AMD cards while Dirt 2 and Dirt 3 is always better on NVIDIA.. It has to deal with Physx and how many steam processors it can use.. AMD always has a lot more and Just Cause 2 can utilize a ton
@PorscheLover87 I also bought a zotac gtx 570 but I couldn't keep my fingers on her! I think it was around 100°C! I know it's not normal. don't say it is. cause my CPU never goes above 40°C! Never. even in summer.
@BlackPheonix81 it`s really quiet, even when i play battlefield 3 on ultra (max settings), by the way, it does run bf3 on ultra at around 40-70 FPS depending on the situation (open areas, indoors etc.) i love it and i would recommend to anyone wanting to buy a high end GPU that is gonna run every game out there at full settings without being as expensive as a gtx 580 or the dual gpu 590...
@Thegrandhighoracle ahhh yeah and one more question, at the moment i have an nvidia geforce gtx 460m.....will that be able to do anything or should i upgrade?
@Thegrandhighoracle ok ive decided to go with desktop when i next upgrade cuz pretty much every graphics card for laptops only come in specific laptops so i have to buy a whole new one if i want to play bf3. would u recommend a single geforce gtx 580 or duel radeon 6950's?
also i herd that indeed BF3 used 580 for last fixed runs and of course on max so im figuring that this should deff push BF3 at least 50 FPS at 1080i and not overclocked...and also u can hit 900mhz clock on core lots of OC head room....source was from my steam guy!
@alex217c You will have double the gpu power, more Vram, DX11 and all its features like tessellation ect. If you play the latest games & better gaming experience is important to you by all means go for it. Its a great card and being an owner of one i feel it was worth every penny :D
@dave5785568 Sweet man I ordered mine today along with the rest of my component, cant wait! The new Battlefield 3 trailer makes it even better knowing I will be able to run it smoothly and look incredible at same time.

@Alterach Thanks a lot :) Didn't expect a reply.
I have an ATI 4870 at the moment and it get's VERY loud! Sick of it! xD

Newegg had a recertified 570 for 199$. I waited before buying it. It's out of stock now indefinitely.

does anyone think this, along with a intel core i7 processor would run bf3 on maybe high settings?
PAVI259 6 months ago
@PAVI259 You'll be laughing on high settings, you might even get max with a decent framerate.
Thegrandhighoracle 6 months ago
@Thegrandhighoracle ahhh yeah and one more question, at the moment i have an nvidia geforce gtx 460m.....will that be able to do anything or should i upgrade?
PAVI259 6 months ago
@PAVI259 You probably won't play BF3 very well with that.
Thegrandhighoracle 6 months ago
@Thegrandhighoracle damn it haha i just got a new "up to date" gaming laptop figurin i could play anything that came out this year....oh well
PAVI259 6 months ago
@Thegrandhighoracle sorry to keep bothering but i have one last question! will this card fit inside of an asus g73sw laptop?
PAVI259 6 months ago
@PAVI259 No problem, I don't mind.
And I'm not sure. It very well might not. I recommend going desktop, you'll save a ton of money.
Thegrandhighoracle 6 months ago
@Thegrandhighoracle ok ive decided to go with desktop when i next upgrade cuz pretty much every graphics card for laptops only come in specific laptops so i have to buy a whole new one if i want to play bf3. would u recommend a single geforce gtx 580 or duel radeon 6950's?
PAVI259 6 months ago
@PAVI259 The dual 6950s will be faster, but more expensive.
Thegrandhighoracle 6 months ago
@PAVI259 Get a single 580. Nvidia cards are better on Battlefield games and when the prices drop on the 580, you can get another one for SLI.

hey i got the couch you are sitting on..thinks so...
Phonxer 6 months ago
also i herd that indeed BF3 used 580 for last fixed runs and of course on max so im figuring that this should deff push BF3 at least 50 FPS at 1080i and not overclocked...and also u can hit 900mhz clock on core lots of OC head room....source was from my steam guy!
skungamungus 6 months ago
one of the better reviewing sources ive came across, awaiting my 570 and can not wait!

addz17 6 months ago
@978alex978 ya i wanna know if this will be good for BF3 also because I am thinking about getting this as an upgrade for it.
raymondmperry 6 months ago
would it be worth it to upgrade from gtx 275 FTW edition to gtx 570 superclocked?
alex217c 6 months ago
@alex217c You will have double the gpu power, more Vram, DX11 and all its features like tessellation ect. If you play the latest games & better gaming experience is important to you by all means go for it. Its a great card and being an owner of one i feel it was worth every penny :D
addz17 6 months ago

TheTikiman92 6 months ago
@Alterach sorry i bought it online, it hasn't arrived yet but i'll be sure to tell you what this card can do when it gets here.
Alterach 6 months ago
@Alterach
I think it definitely should run BF3 maxed out no probs.
Ive heard rumors that BF3 Thunder Run trailer was played on a GTX580 whilist recording with fraps and getting 60+!
KellirSpree 6 months ago
I'm thinking of getting either this or the 580 but I am looking to save the extra ££££ if I can. Is the 580 worth the extra £100?
lancsno1 6 months ago
@lancsno1 its 15 percent performance increase so I would say no, I just bought the 570 aswell :)
dave5785568 6 months ago
@dave5785568 Sweet man I ordered mine today along with the rest of my component, cant wait! The new Battlefield 3 trailer makes it even better knowing I will be able to run it smoothly and look incredible at same time.
