The solution to wars and international conflict is clearly to make everyone sit at home playing Final Fantasy games. Then they can discuss the music instead of politics afterwards. \o/
how about we the people stop saying that a certain final fantasy is good? and instead say that every installment is a wonderful masterpiece, and that each one has touched our hearts, just like the games each has touched our hearts differently but nonetheless has affected us XD LOOOOVE THIS MUSIC
I just recently played IX this summer, I'm 20 and have been playing Final Fantasy since I've been 15 (I got into it because of Kingdom Hearts) and I first heard this song, though in English, and I sobbed my heart out. It was such a beautiful game and experience. If it wasn't for my love of Eyes on Me, I'd have this song played at my wedding.<3
First time I heard this, the starting part of this song stopped me right in my tracks and yes, I sobbed. Final Fantasy IX was my first, and always will be my favourite Final Fantasy. I absolutely adore the Japanese version of this song. I am extremely lucky to be seeing Distant Worlds at the end of the year in London, but the funny thing is...they'll be using an English singer and using the English lyrics. I'd much rather have the Japanese.
man..... i cried like a baby watching this. i never understand HOW DO THESE JAPANESE PEOPLE MANAGE TO TOUCH ME SO DEEPLY EVERY - SINGLE - TIME? be it listening to their music or playing games like final fantasy and even watching ghibli movies! they are awesome.
VI and IX rank for me as the best FF games. This particular tune I really love love love. It's...hard to describe somehow but IX is a lot more emotional for me then most of their other games are. Even though it's alot about Xidan and Garnet there are other stories too and the character development is really great. For instance, X doesn't have near as good a character development as great as it was. VII is close there, VI didn't have the means. It needs a remake...
@mickthewack X has the best character development. Not so much Wakka and Auron, but Lulu, Yuna, and Kimahri had the most wonderful and saddening stories. VII did too, Cloud had pfft and Barret's was EASILY forced. Cid and Yuffie had the best. VI had MUCH more development than VII did, and it doesn't need a 3d remake to show it.
I didn't love the game, but I adore this combination of The Place I'll Return to and Melodies of Life in BOTH English and Japanese.

9 was my absolute favourite of the series and I never thought I'd ever hear The Place I'll Return to Someday in this performance.

Huh? Why was this comment marked as spam?
Anyway, to answer your question, it's the Prima Vista Philharmonic Orchestra.
