  • The most frightening movie i have ever watched!!! Sheer terror, from the begining to the end, dumb or active, yet, in any case, almost unbearable! Another great australian film! Awesome! Gongratulations and thanks guys!

  • I really enjoy this movie, it's more realistic than other movies that make look the sharks like monsters.

  • Somewhat a copyoff of JAWS, but i still found it enjoyable

  • sad ending

  • I liked shark night 3d

  • pffff

  • great movie!

  • If you watch or have watched "I shouldn't be alive," then you, my friend, have no doubt seen this movie.

  • The Reef sucks, Its a bad end that luke is dying -.-

  • LoL. Aussie movies are usually crap.

  • lol.

  • wuw qee peli tan xingoonaa

  • you idiots spoil everything everytime i want to watch something all you read in the comments is aahh this sucks worst movie ever waste of time and shit like that how the fuck am i meant to watch a movie whit shit like that said ??? punkss

  • GREAT ANOTHER SHARK MOVIE -.- NOTTTTTTTTTT

  • sharks don't hunt people.....smh

  • @Tehandpickid Actually if you look up info on the true story the movie's based on, it WAS the same shark hunting them down. It may be a rare occurrence, but there are some sharks that acquire a taste for human flesh once they've given it a shot.

  • @mecgo24 .....orr...ok...cool! =]

  • Great, another shark movie. Like that hasn't been done before...

  • @queenlover90 yeah I know, its really original isnt it?

  • Remember remember the 5th of November

  • That bitch should die instead of the guy. She's f**king annoying.

  • This is just more real if you ask me .,the behavior of a shark in its natural place ,the ocean...jaws dosent actually come near..because it is not based on a true story..the shark is made ..you can actaully see some part of the shark is not 100 % ,eks the teeth ..,what would a real shark do in a case like this ? think about it. the reef movie ..clears that pretty mucht up ,if you ask me

  • @Gallygoy I 100% agree with you!!! just cuz we have low budgets for films doenst mean we cant make a good one!! this movie, rogue, and black water are all australian films and all look REALLY realistic and they scared the shit outta me!! I think people who dnt watch this movie are reallyyyyyy missing out big time!! and I also probably think this is a little bit better than jaws cuz its more realistic and heaps scarier!!

  • @Mr15Hello Hi! It's been a long time now that i have noticed that the australian production is a guarantee for a good movie. (starting from "the last wave", "picnic on the hanging rock", "long weekend" etc to "black water" and "the reef")! So, everytime i go to the movies or to the videoclub, i know that an australian movie will never let me down...And yes, australians have proved that big budgets are not the only way to a great film. This one is the most scary movie i have ever seen!

  • oh wow to cal and benji are still alive and have been holidaying all this time

  • the most crud movie ever! they should have thrown that hyperventilating bitch that survived to the shark and saved him self. bitch too dumb to know that all that splashing and screaming attrackts the fish.

  • i saw this on my airplane going to australia where i was going snorkeling, i was soo scared to go in after, aha

  • I do not feel bad for the victims at all. If you go someplace you don't belong and aren't welcome, then don't be surprised when the consequences catch up to you.

  • This is a scary movie ,,and actually this could be a behavior for a real white shark..the way they could behave in real ife ..not saying for sure..but compare to jaws..this is mucht more realistic..i can bet 100 000 dollars to anyone ..go there ,be in the same water..that they were...see what happends ,i am sure something would happend!!

  • @Gallygoy remember that jaws was made in 1975 so you cant compare the two on realism since this one seems to have been made around 2009

  • I want to travel to Australia, because there are beautiful reefs.

  • *post this

  • i didnt make this post this trailer but why so many thumbs down

  • Very funny movie..

A boat rental night goes bad with hilarious consequences

  • wow another shark movie let me get my popcorn. nothing will ever best jaws all other should give it up.

  • Based on this trailer alone, the one thought that occurs is, "This was done in 1975, and very effectively."

  • If anyone has ever traveled or snorkled I think this movie will entise them. Its.not really scary, but it gets you thinking "what if you were there"

  • Most shark deaths on humans are done by Oceanic White tips.

That's cos they clean up after ship decks in Asia and Africa where hundreds of people are left in the sea.

Bull sharks kill alot of surfers/swimmers but that makes more news cos it's in developed countries with free press

  • @willpreston i meant in america your prolly right though im not looking it up

  • This is on Netflix instant streaming right now. Deep Blue Sea and JAWS are my favorite shark attack films. Hope this one is good as well! Going to go pop me a bag of popcorn and watch it now! =)

  • you can forget trying to cast me in a shark movie.

  • Pretty hard-hittin stuff at the end when he looks under water and the shark swims up at about 70 miles per hour :$

  • This has been done way too many times now. (i actually thought the SEQUAL to Open Water was more believable and interesting than this.) The acting on this movie was pretty bad. The mini love story between the two Aussies was not interesting to the audience whatsoever and it took way too long for the movie to pick up.

  • black water was better than this, open water was much much much much better than both of em

  • @willpreston is it worth renting it for 2 bucks?

  • @PhobosCVIII - _its not awfull. its just a bit disapointing,

  • @willpreston too late

  • Should I be concerned when a n add for HydroWorx Therapy Pools?

  • so its jaws..without any land?

  • still thinking deep blu sea is much better than this!

  • the movie is based on a true event and one of the survivor "Ray Boundy" has told his horrific story.

  • why is every dam shark movie about great whites when really bullsharks are the most dangerous to people.

  • @freeboosie904 the bull shark is only "more" dangerous cause it can swim in fresh water. the great white is the biggest and most ferocious shark of all.

  • @robthestoner001 na im saying its the most dangerous because it attacks people allot more than any other shark. i saw it on shark week

  • @freeboosie904 and im saying it attacks more people cause it can swim in fresh water and any body of fresh water is a hell of a lot smaller then any sea or ocean.

  • @robthestoner001 It can stay in freshwater, but it does eventually have to go back to the saltwater. So there isn't going to be any established inshore bull shark population.

  • @Guitarplayer219 that doesn't change the fact that almost all reported bull shark attacks are in fresh water.

  • @robthestoner001 That's completely wrong, almost all reported attacks happened in saltwater. Bullsharks are most likely found where rivers meet saltwater, the reason being that baitfish such as mullet congregate here, larger fish that eat mullet or other baitfish follow the mullet, and the bullsharks follow the larger fish. Bull shark's have bad eye sight as well, so them, murky water, someone wearing a wristwatch that shines like a fish = bad day.

  • @Guitarplayer219 no, YOU'RE completely wrong. i don't care about all that food chain stuff recent books and websites tell me that most bull shark attacks happen in fresh water.

  • @robthestoner001 So you're saying that most bull shark attacks are reported from the Mississippi river, Ohio river and other rivers? No, I don't even think that there have been any reported attacks in freshwater. Search list of fatal shark attacks in America, all of the bull shark ones are in the ocean, or in saltwater.

  • @robthestoner001 Maybe in India they're getting attacked in rivers occasionally, but there hasn't been a reported attack from a bull shark in freshwater, in America, or in almost every other area that they are found.

  • @Guitarplayer219 buddy you have no idea what you're talking about. i dont know what search you used but you're very wrong. i never said anything about the mississippi or ohio river (nor do i know why you're mentioning them). look up Jersey Shore shark attacks of 1916 (inspiration for book and movie, Jaws), Lester Stilwell and Stanley Fisher at Matawan Creek New Jersey. they say they caught the jersey man eater and that it was a great white, but great whites cant swim in fresh water creeks.

  • @robthestoner001 Why am I mentioning those rivers? Because you're rambling on about freshwater, and they've found bullsharks farthest away from saltwater there. Okay, a couple attacks?? That's not all of the reported attacks, that's just a couple. There have been hundreds of bull shark attacks, at least 95% have been in freshwater. I just researched, they caught a young great white at the mouth of said creek, and it had human parts, and bones. And clearly from the picture it's a white.

  • @Guitarplayer219 dude i have no idea what you're getting at anymore. you yourself just said "There have been hundreds of bull shark attacks, at least 95% have been in freshwater." thats exactly what i've been saying. you just proved me right, thanks. there were 5 attacks by the "jersey man eater" since two of the attacks happened in fresh water creek, and a great white was found with human remains, logic dictates there was more then one man eating shark.

  • @robthestoner001 I obviously meant at least 95% were in saltwater, sorry you couldn't work out a simple error. Could you use proper capitalization and punctuation? It's really a burden to read these paragraphs.. They caught the white near the mouth of the creek, people don't know everything about sharks, perhaps the white did go a little into the creek. We'll never know, you can't just pin it on a bull, that's not how shark attack examinations work.

  • @Guitarplayer219 first off, no. because according to my findings on the internet most people are attacked in fresh water. again i have no idea what you're talking about. no im not going to use proper punctuation, this is the internet, deal with it. and that is exactly how shark attack examination works. sure, miracles in nature can happen, but a great white shark swimming up a narrow creek is simply unheard of. if one day its proven a great white can survive in fresh water i may change my mind

  • @robthestoner001 What the hell website are you looking at?! Tell me the website and I'll be convinced about this, This white shark was the size of a medium adult bull, he wasn't a full blown 19 ft adult, he was young. Experts even now looking at the files, still can't confirm it was a bull or a white. Sorry, I didn't know you knew better than the experts. Oh, and by the way, Matawan Creek is brackish water, so that means it's tidal too, it's not freshwater.

  • @Guitarplayer219 you know, something tells me you're arguing just for the sake of arguing, just accept the fact that great whites have more known attacks on humans then bull sharks.

  • Respond to this video... im wikipeding most of it

  • @robthestoner001 Thanks for confirming I won the argument by changing the subject! Good work.

  • @freeboosie904 ok bru look, im not not saying the great white isn't, "more ferocious". all i'm saying is that there are ALLOT more bullsharks in the world making their attacks the most common of all other sharks Thats why their the most dangerous to people. and them being able to go into fresh water just adds to that. great white attacks happen almost never BUT yea they are the biggest, strongest, "most ferocious" shark. you are right about that

  • @freeboosie904 damn right im right.

  • Pray that i drown first? why not just pray that you get the fuck out of there alive o.o

  • calm down man its just a movie

  • this is bullshit, it's just another movie that sets out to attack Great White Sharks, whoever wrote this movie is so ignorant, Great Whites arn't even found in that part of Australia, that territory belongs to Salties, Bull Sharks and Tiger Sharks

  • ( . ) Y (. )

  • @Nzbest11 stop trying to freaken get ppl to go on tha fricken website you peice of shit

  • omg i wasted 7bucks and 1:30 hour watching this movie in cinema..its only swimming and screaming.. total waste of time low budget movie

  • @BpRaver super low budget movie that they can only hire 1 shark from the start till the end

  • It looks like it has a lot of action but this trailer tells me NOTHING about what the plot of the film is about. I will have to check it today on sitemoovis.co.cc. Hope the film will be great.

  • I Loved this film, It's very deep and its a bit hard to understand TBH i'm still trying to figure out the meaning myself. It not only has very touching story line, but it also has nice graphics. You can find film on fillmsi.co.cc. :P

  • based on a true story my ass

  • director of black water ? .... okay .. save the money.

  • Even though in the movie it took an hour for them to even see a shark, pretty good movie I suppose.

  • well thatz wat happens wen yur totally unprepared yur basically going to the sea to die in yur own worse case scenario. uuuuh carry a gps, carry a flare gun, carry a knife, carry a spear gun, beeee prepareed, carry a water proof map just in case the boat Forgets about the 4 or 3 people that got off the BOAT which makes perfect sense N also take rope wit u so the boat knows where yur at Stuupid i tell u just wanting to die in their stupid way. dont wanna die dont go out like that.

  • They just dont ake shark movies like JAWS anymore :(

  • i really liked this movie :)

  • Aussies are making some excellent animal horror films lately. This film has cliched characters, some predictable turns and pretty terrible dialogue. Yet the level of fear and tension it created was excellent. The cinematography was good and the musical score worked as well. The simple nature footage was horrifying. The way the great white just manifests himself from out of the blue is really, really unsettling.

  • worst film ever made. Makes Australians look so stupid. It gets to a point that you cheer on the shark. Kind of like the bad Friday the 13th films. The cast and film are so bad that you cheer on Jason.

  • @kblooey The Shark was like "Hey bro's wanna hang." then they start fucking kicking and splashing he's like "O fuck this." *Bites*

  • this might sound stupid, but wouldn't you stay with the boat and not swim a few hundred k's in the sea (regardless of sharks)

  • @g0hawks11 well I watched the movie and they said they never found the guy who didn't leave the boat. Now it says it's based from a true story? So obviously not all of it is true but I have a feeling that part was or they would have stated in the credits or had a scene where he was found.

I'm not sure what I would do in the situation but the guy on the boat must have starved to death, or a storm hit him or something horrific that would leave you alone. This movie was scary, i admit.

  • @DARKTIGERKAT148 I too my friend watched the movie, I would assume the part where the three others are eaten by sharks probably is true, so is the woman surviving and the guy on the boat disappearing. There are no great white sharks in that area, it is too warm watered for them to survive, they like cold areas eg around perth/through to sydney. You would be more likely to have a bull shark or tiger shark ect attack you.

  • @g0hawks11 The ocean also can be scary as hell, the thought of not being about to see farther than a 100 feet away from you. The director does a pretty good job of this.. but this is my opinion really.. =/

  • @DARKTIGERKAT148 he does, but i thought he could do a little more psychological scenes, like the tuna at the start when the guy is in the capsized boat. that was scary, i thought it became predictable

  • @g0hawks11 hmm fair enough :p

  • @DARKTIGERKAT148 like, it sorta was obvious that the shark was going to eat one of the two at the end, i think he should have done more scenes where there were like fish or something swim past them

  • @g0hawks11 Thats true. I can see where you're going. Other kinds of fish enter their vision and they freak out xD but it's only... a goldfish... ? :S lmao

  • @DARKTIGERKAT148 Second, a shark does not follow prey for such a long distance with out attacking it. You would not ever have one shark do that, it would probably have been a couple. Thirdly, it was not scary at all.

  • @g0hawks11 This is only a movie, remember. It may be based on a true story but that doesn't mean the setting has to be perfect. Yeah, I know great whites like cold water and I believe it probably was more than one shark following them =S

it was scary in a way that is supposed to make you think of the emptiness and isolation you get when you're in the ocean. Claustrophobia from being too open. The horror of trying to survive a night in the ocean with no means of support is scary itself.

  • @rockthecasba16 sorry i didn't really understand until i heard them say that in trailer i had my volume turned down. jeez ps don't be agry at me for something in a movie. chill.

  • 4 friends on vacation go to the beach to get attacked by a shark, 1 or 2 of them survive, what else is new.

  • Why so many dislikes? this was actually a decent movie

  • Poor shark.

  • Should I rent this in blue ray? LOL *Like This :D*

  • haha the "cult hit" black water? is that even a compliment?

  • vry nice movie. its a true story which took place in 1983. catch it!!

  • @Euuvy how is it a true story?

  • STUPID MOVIE !!!!!!!!

    BETTER I SEE DISCOVERY CHANNEL

  • The trailer doesn't do this film justice. It's an incredibly well made film and really freaky. I liked it even more than Open Water and Adrift. The decision they're faced with is horrific.

  • Looks pish.

  • That's The Scariest Shit I've Ever Seen, Nuff Said.

  • When will they make a movie of human eating the sharks? I bet it's much more scarier

  • Why put a voiceover in the trailer, makes it seem really crummy.

  • i watched it. sooo good

  • Looks horrible.

  • If somebody keeps on coming up with all of these "JAWS" remakes ( or rip-offs), sharks will become extinct (by their own choice)! Basically, the story is always the same.... people go in the water (without a cage)...shark's in the water... our sharks...........

'Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies.... farewell and adieu, you ladies of Spain..."

  • @Titan52berg This movie isn't a "jaws remake" or a rip off, it's based on a true story and unlike every other shark movie in existance, it actually portrays the behaviours of sharks fairly accurately and does well to show the emotion and horror of people stuck in that situation.

I thought this was without a doubt the best shark movie i have ever watched. At no point did i experience the "oh come on that would never happen" moment.

  • @youbetzler what about "Open Water"

  • @calebblack1 I don't really consider that a shark movie, i know there is sharks in it, but 90% of the movie is them floating freaking out. The premise of the movie is the horror of being alone in the ocean with little to no chance of rescue, whereas the reef's premise is the horror of being stalked and hunted by a 15 foot great white shark.

  • based on a true story.wow.so during that time every one was picked off one by one, they didn't have hlf a brain to caal the police, wow.

  • @TheInsanedude24 call the police? and tell them what exactly? And how do you propose somebody out in the middle of the ocean would call the police?

  • guys the hipe this up sharks dont go around looking to eat pepole the dont have hands to fill if thts ur leg so they nibbel but there nibbel hurts

  • Saw the trailer on YouTube. Rented the DVD from Netflix. Time well spent! One of the best Shark movie in a very long time! Well done!

  • @kblooey LOL

  • WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jaws of the 21st century.

  • Chummy!

  • is it that called a trailer? or national geography?

  • @max7even you mean national geographic.

  • This movie scared the crap out of me!

  • What with all these spam ads about a website, when you say things like MIND BLOWN and AMAZING VISUALS your not gonna get far with a B movie

  • Why are all these comments fake?

  • hey can anyone tell me what's the first and the second musics of this trailer? thanks

  • i'd prefer the reefer.

  • That's why I always pack my Shotgun.

  • a good film

  • Comment removed

  • @kblooey : LOL!!!

  • that sucks man house of wax is scary more man

  • WHAT A SHIT MOVIE DONT WATCH IT ITS CRAP!

  • @arra009 IT ISNT! IT'S AMAZING!

  • this movie looks preety good to me :)

  • based on a true story? sounz like its based on da true story of an awsum movie named jaws.. stupid sucky aussie movies..

  • @R8MEX Australian movies aren't "sucky". This could be based on a true story, you wouldn't know obviously...

  • This trailer looks terrible

  • anyone notice that real recently australians have taken over the film industry? ive watches tones of their movies in the last year and they are all horrors/thrillers

for example the tunnel, sanctum, this and a dodgy one called long weekend or something

  • Why did this make me LoL ?

Does that make me a bad person? : c

  • so somebody had to survive to tell the story! hahaha :D

  • i saw this its a great movie, its based on true events yes. white sharks kill humans yes. sharkattackfile . info

  • did anyone see this if so what did you think

  • Il est bien ce film?

  • I'm pretty sure Great Whites don't stalk and eat people, true story my ass

  • No idea what it's about but it's beautiful and I want to see it at filmsi.co.cc. How many trailers these days make you say that? Usually now they tell me practically the whole story and I still don't care.

  • so its a terrible remake of jaws ?

  • @atomiczombie101 no its not.. i liked it because this movie is much more realistic than you would think.. good scenes

  • this movie is oke

  • i didnt really like Blackwater much but reef was alot better a tite well made clostrofobic movie sorry for spelling

  • when wil lthis be on DVD i cant find it
