This is the sad reality of the sport. I hope some of the weekend yahoos watching this may grasp how much more dangerous than it seems that it truely is.This isn't a class V stream, III at best. Will snatch your life away just as fast though. Be prepared, take all necessary precautions,and for gods sake,DON'T paddle alone! Not sure if any of these were the case here,but from the looks of the stream,the death was preventable with proper safety setup. God rest his soul. Paddle on,with common sense!
