I'm actually quite disappointed with this new take on the Joker. This is just a killer with some lipstick on. I enjoyed watching the deformed, insane joker who always saw humor in every crime he committed and who's goal in life was to make Gotham city die with a smile.
That´s because Nolan´s adaptation is more realistic. Do you know an acid that can bleach your skin, turn you hair green and put a smile on your face? I dont think so...
As far as this Joker goes I'm not sure how great the comedy will be, but I'm betting their going to focus more on the killing and less on what makes the Joker (a Joke).
I'd say that the Nicholson Joker was great because they really captured the comedy of Joker. Although the Joker is a psycho killer and everyone who disagrees that the Nicholson Joker was good, mostly feels that they just didn't fear a murderer as much as they should have. Its hard to be afraid of the Joker that Nicholson played, but then again its hard to be afraid of anything that makes you laugh.

I think they might be holding back the shots, and vid clips of how Crazy The Joker will really be in the movie... well atleast that's what I hope. But I swear if the Joker isn't out of his mind, insane,to the max... it won't be good.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But's that's not even the real issue here. In the trailer he's an excellent villin, with scary, ugly and very very effective looks to boot. I believe his intensity will attract some fan girls, you may yet be one of them, you just have to wait and see for Mr J. to prove you wrong XP.

I'm actually quite disappointed with this new take on the Joker. This is just a killer with some lipstick on. I enjoyed watching the deformed, insane joker who always saw humor in every crime he committed and who's goal in life was to make Gotham city die with a smile.

I'd say that the Nicholson Joker was great because they really captured the comedy of Joker. Although the Joker is a psycho killer and everyone who disagrees that the Nicholson Joker was good, mostly feels that they just didn't fear a murderer as much as they should have. Its hard to be afraid of the Joker that Nicholson played, but then again its hard to be afraid of anything that makes you laugh.

Heath ledger is perfect as the joker!He's already proving people/doubters wrong.Nolan always get's it right in casting the right man..Bale,the brilliant Mr Caine,Oldman, Freeman,Neeson and now Ledger.Also.. will people stop comparing the Joker with the Crow.When I first watched the crow I thought he looked and reminded me of the darker version of joker that was portrayed in the comics.They copied and hijacked the comic version of the joker!
