I'm from México, i saw "sorrow love song" here, last year (2006).
Two things: as i have just said, i have seen the work, and that teaser you made (you made it, don't you?) can give a pretty close idea of what the work is.
The second thing i have to say is: looking at the almost five minutes of this video, i remembered how much i liked sorrow love song. Now i'm going to bed feeling an imprecise nostalgia. Kind of weird...
One never knows how the audience will appreciate soemthing! When I shot th 2 wide shots the 1st time (no net, no rehearsal, nada), I was neither inspired nor comforted, but intrigued. Inspiration came with the following shoot days, and comfort when I was finished editing and satisfied! Of course this experience has brought me close to the dancers and contemporary dance. Regards, Michael.
Thanks for the compliment. I also should have reminded Yeshalo that he only saw a teaser, and that's not enough to make such severe judgements by. Cheers from Hamburg.
Frankly, as the director of the recording and not the choreographer, I couldn't agree more, but whether you recognize the inspriration or not, it was there for the dance company and therefore cannot be denied. Furthermore, why not send your comment to the dance company ? Lastly, your comment doesn't reveal whether or not you like the product itself, regardless of your correct note on the somewhat distant connection to the author's wonderful work. Regards, Michael
this is absolutely stunning.....

please dont use inspiration as a crutch from a book that has nothing to due with the point of this work
