  • I would like to contact you about using a few seconds of your video for a video we are creating for My Beauty Campaign. We help build women's self esteem and the transformation is compared to a caterpillar's metamorphosis to a butterfly.

  • @BeautyCampaign This comment section won't let me leave my email address or website...let me know if you can't find it on my page. Thanks again and I appreciate your fast response!

  • My kids love it especially the youngest (my 5 year old son). The arrangements especially the sounds are not just calming but the way the story or the life cycle goes catches the childrens attention. They watch and learn every inch of a detail and after watching they can't just stop living and telling everybody about it.We really love it. Excellent presentation! Great Idea!!!!! Not just a fact in learning but a true wonder of nature! My son said "I'ts Magic Mom"...

    映像の構成が非常に良いです。

    かなり時間をかけて撮影されたんでしょうね。

    Good!です。

  • コメントありがとうございます。

    初めての撮影だったので、つきっきりで徹夜してしまいました。元気に飛び立ってくれたので、ほっとしました。

  • Great job! Very clear video and nice soundtrack. You have some sequences I've never seen anyone else do before. I have a number of recent but unreleased time lapse sequences of pupal development like yours that I have yet to make into final videos. Anyway, nice to see life cycles of species from around the world :-) 5 stars!

  • Hello,

Amazing! My 2 1/2 year old son LOVES to watch this clip you posted. He asks to watch the chrysalis and can watch is multiple times in a day! It's an absolutely beautiful clip. Please post more.

  • Hi I'm a friend of Yoshio Mortia, and sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, but we had to translate your message into Japanese, and back to English. First of all thank you very much for your kind comments. I know how hard it is to get these sort of nature shots, and I know that Morta San used no computer generated images. All of the video is unaltered with the exception of some editing for time, and content.

  • Newly emerged Butterfly - mines was very quick - less than a second, did you slow motion yours? I used Video edit Magic with pan and zoom and filmed orign in big format so than the pan and zoom would not be fuzzy.

  • Hi It was done with a series of stop motion frames, and a series of dissolves in Final Cut Pro.

  • thi butterfly is really cool! it looks almost exactly liek a monarch caterpillar!!! only it's a bit differnt as a caterpillar and butterfly. but it has the same white spots on te body. and the chrysalis look almost identical. this is relaly beauiful. tank you for posting this :)
