  • Dark Sun isn't that dark.

  • I find it hard to diss Kurt for doing SW products. I mean, he loves it and it is his show, and he is good at these reviews.

  • Suggestion... how about reviewing something like the Battletech A Time of War Beta

  • Savage worlds again?

  • I haven't ever played savage worlds before but I still find these reviews interesting. Thanks Kurt!

  • Ah Dark Sun. This setting continues to intrigue me. Anyone know of any Conan-like, very primitive sort of setting out there? Other than Conan D20, I mean.

  • Hmm check out Winterweir by Phillips Gaming Studios

  • You might want to keep track of D101 Games' upcoming Savage North adventure pack. The corebook to this supplement can be downloaded for free from their site. It basically works with a d100 system.

  • Dark Sun is the official campaign setting for the DND4e in 2010. I was about to jump ship when i heard the news. Probably one of the best settings ever, it's hardcore gritty and awesome.

You could probably "get it" thru torrent sites.

  • I played Dark Sun back when it was 2e and liked it a lot. We'll see how gritty they can make it with the 4e rules. They say that they'll try for something different than the basic 4e for that, but I guess we'll see.

  • You may want to check out Legends of Steel.

  • I'm tempted to buy these adventures for Sundered Skies now. Thanks for the review.

  • Actually, I'm the same way. I haven't played Savage Worlds yet, but I'm pretty tempted to pick it up. That being said, a local con has Deadlands Savage Worlds edition session, and that was one of the first things I signed up for.

  • i agree with the other comments,am a fan of game geeks but it would be nice to see something different than SW.,by the way its would be good to see kurt savage another game like he did with D&D 4ed (world of warcraft) lol besides kurt it was good for ratings !

  • I still enjoy 4th ed, but yeah I would like to see a review like he did on 4th Ed for World of Warcraft. Now that game was just plain kinda bad on the way they had you buying all the books just to even play the game. It's similar on how the Everquest books were.

  • Just to inform you all, next week will be another Savage Worlds Review, for those that love SW WOO HOO for those that don't or are tired of us doing them, sorry... That's the last episode in the can, after that we will be taking a short break to catch up on things and getting ready for a whole slew of new / old games and other surprises. That's not to say you've seen the last of SW, Kurt loves it and is currently playing it.

    Thanks for watching

    RM

  • I'm totally for Kurt reviewing stuff he enjoys. I mean, this is something he does for fun. That's totally cool with me. However, I don't know if I'll just keep on watching review after review of a game system I don't play or even have interest in. I miss the days when he actually reviewed all sorts of game systems.

  • dude, you should do something else besides reviewing games. that'd be great, another step in the gaming world.

anyway, it's not that i don't like SW reviews (i bought the system and like 2 other setting games with it), it's that there are sooo many of those reviews.

anyway, all's good, keep up the good work.

  • Chill out folks. Remember that Kurt only reviews for pleasure and thus reviews what he has in his personal collection.

  • Kurt, review Shadowrun 20th aniversary edition, gives some more insight besides reviews (DMing tips, etc.) just sometihng different than Savage Worlds.

  • Kirk, I watch you all of the time. I'm getting bored with SW. Give us your insights on some different mechanics.

  • Now I want to combine Sundered skies and Earthdawn. A shattered Barsaive.

  • No more Savage Worlds games PLEASE!!!!!!!

There are so many indie games developers out there that would love to have you review their work.

  • I understand that you have a hard-on for Savage Worlds. However, you are not being an objective game reviewer if all you ever do is review Savage Worlds supplements and say how great they are.

  • One of my players of nearly 10 years is going to try his hand at GMing for the first time in the not so distant future. I've got him about 75% sold on running one of these modules.

  • Yet another savage worlds review? Well lest it's not yet another Call of Cthulu review.

  • I agree with ya there...

  • love sundered skies, so ill likely pick this up, even though we are in the middle of a serenity setting right now...

  • I'm running a savage worlds game using sundered isles with a bit of Lost thrown in!

This should be an interesting extra

  • Savage worlds!!

  • Yes. I will thumb up this comment whenever I read it.
