  • EXCELLENT!!!

  • Sounds freaking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey what cabinets do u hav here???

  • @Danny94James

The 1960A Lead cabinet, standard at the time the video was done. Thanks.

  • Great post!!1 I have the exact same amp and was thinking of sending it to voodoo, did you get the rock or metal deluxe mod. What was the amount of time from when you shipped it till you received it back? How much of a a difference did it truly make? where do you see those differences...not sure if you can email me with answers sorry to be a pain just would like to speak to someone who actually had it done thanks

  • @antmike100

Sorry for the late response! When I got the mod, there was only the deluxe mod. They were pretty quick in turning the amp around, shipping there and back took more time. The mods made a tremendous difference, it came back a different amp!

  • how much was this mod if you dont ind me asking ? has to be one of the best tones ive herd on a JCM 2k' !!! gain is so punchy & just sounds like a power houussee!!! think im getting mine modded/hot rodded....message me some info please thanks keith

  • @villainmaster1

check out Voodoo Amps website, and any mod they do is great! There are other companies out there that do mods, I just haven't tried them yet. I spent a bit over $500 on my mods. Thanks!

  • what mods did they do? how much did it cost? My dsl needs help!

  • @Freemasonry

My mod was called the Deluxe mod, an it helped a lot! It was about $500.

    Thanks!

  • Did you find the Voodoo mod made a big difference? Enough that you can really notice the difference jamming with people or in a band context? Thanks.

  • @richedie

Sorry for the late response! Yeah, the mod made an amazing difference, that you definitely can hear even through the rest of the band.

  • OVER 9000 VIEWS!!!

  • No sweat man, I understand! Good tone!

  • @richedie

    Thanks for watching!

  • what guitar is that? very smooth sound!

  • @AnathemusVideos

It is a Bunker custom guitar. He is a 3rd generation guitar builder. I think his website is Treker.com. Thanks for watching!

  • Sounds extremely BRIGHT! Where do you have the treble and presence set? Very, very bright and not very fat or thick. I am wondering if that is the EQ you have set?

  • I have lost some of my hearing, and so I usually play my amps bright, to compensate. The treble and presence are turned up fairly high, you are right!

    Thanks

  • I highly recomment it!

  • i have the same amp but seriously

your amp sound so much better!!!

does voodoo only mod in certain country's?

cause i'm from belgium, but if they would be able to mod my amp i would be so happy!!!

  • Send me an email and we can talk about it more?

    Thanks!

  • @jezus1989 Yes they do. Visit their web page. They are amazing with GREAT customer service.

  • Nice tone. Great playing!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Thanks, I really like what they did for my amp!

  • You are a father and you have a DSL Marshall in your room?! You rock!!!!

  • Thanks! I am even a grandfather!

  • what did you do to mode the amp? Sounds good.

  • hey i really love your amp man, im sending mine to voodoo in october!

you should put up a video of the clean channel on crunch

  • You are right, I should. It sounds great too.

    Thanks for watching!

  • all right! i'll be looking forward to it. jam on man!

  • same here ;o)

  • I am glad she puts up with me and the noise!

  • his wife is in the other room rubbing her temples.

  • Almost every day!

  • oh i just found what speakers you use g12h20s, i want to ask you how do the gt75s sound?

  • They sound good too. The G12Hs sound a little more vintage, the 75s sound more modern.

    Thanks!

  • Which Mod package did you get?

  • The deluxe mod. it includes the new output transformer.

  • Is that an mc412 cab

  • No, it is a 1960A Lead 4x12 cab. In this clip it has Celestion G12H30 speakers in it. Thanks for watching!

  • awesome guitar, it looks like a schecter and PRS in one!

  • Thanks! And it is about half the weight, too. And still sustains well.

  • Do you think the neck of the bunker, is better than a conventional neck?

  • I do like the neck. You are probably referring to the large piece of aluminum that runs through the neck. At first I was worried about it, but the neck and the guitar felt so good. The builder actually came over to my house with two of his guitars, and let me compare them to my guitars through my amps. I was sold, and now I own two of them. They are great.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Fantastic sound, I really am considering this mod now, thank you. Would you know what is the difference between a DSL100 and the DSL100MLB that is available now?

  • Sorry it has taken me so long to answer! I looked on the Marshall website, and they didn't even have it on there, that I could find. I checked my local Guitar Center, and they didn't have one.

So I do not know the difference. However, since Marshall has added the MLB to the name, that seems to signify a difference. And so does the price. But I am no more help than that.

    Thanks for watching!

  • The major difference is the power tubes

  • Great Sound, Had my dsl50 modded by Voodoo.

    What are your amp settings?

    Peace

  • Thanks for writing, sorry I am so long in writing back. I had the gain up, the volume on about 2, the presence and treble up fairly high, the mid below half, and the bass on about 7. I am still experimenting with the eq on this amp!

  • Nice Tone! What type of speakers in your Marshall Cab? Thanks!

  • I have four Celestion G12H20 70th anniversary speakers in it. I really like them.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Very cool. What kind of pickups are on the guitar? Thanks!

  • Sorry it took me so long to answer!

They are Bill Lawrence pickups. Apparently another company took Bill Lawrence's name and started making pickups. These are real ones, you can find them on his own personal website.

    Thanks for watching!

  • I wish you were my grandmas husband!! so i could play that brute

  • Thanks. It is a cool amp now with the mod!

  • nicce!!!!

  • Thanks!

  • how would you compare your dsl tone with your jcm 800 2205?

  • This one is much bassier, more powerful and aggressive, darker, and very awesome, but just different. The DSL doesn't sound so '80s rock, and I like the fact that the mod made the clean channel just sparkle. I did a little clip of the clean channel.

    Thanks for your interest!

  • what were the mods ...the dsl i heard didn't come close to match an early jcm 800 ...

  • that was cool

  • Thanks! The amp is a monster now, after the mod!

  • And thanks for subscribing!

  • Welcome. That amp sounds awesome. That overdrive was sweet

  • Thanks, that's all due to the mod. It made an ok amp a great amp. And Marshall does make good amps! Especially the older ones.

  • What kind of mod did you get?

  • I got what they call the deluxe mod. It includes everything in the standard mod, and they upgrage the output transformer, which improves everything even more.
