yeh it's a load of bull, god has about as much proof as the freaken lockness monster. The only reason it's so popular is because religion plays on your insecurities and says "if you dont believe then you goto hell". And people are also grown up in already religous families which makes them religous too most the time, and so the cycle continues. I remained a Christian for many years, reading the Bible and commentary on the Bible, before I lost my faith two and a half years ago. Somewhere along the line, I developed compassion for humanity (for the girl who is raped day after day, for the Jewish men women and children thrown in the furnace) and became a Luciferian. I am just shocked at Christians' disregard for their fellow man.

Originaly myths were invented to explain the world. Myths were the religion of the ancient people so I think thats why religion was invented. People use it as an excuse to create wars and control others instead of spreading a message of acceptence so it was people that MADE it that way but that doesnt mean its bad (as long as people dont use it to hurt others.)

You don't need to see something to know it's there. I have some trouble beleiving the bible's doctrine, but you must understand that It is the world's biggest self help book, not law. Just like any peice of renown literature, the lesson the reader takes from it is it's worth. You cannot read the bible without learning something that will help you live your life happier and fuller.

yeh it's a load of bull, god has about as much proof as the freaken lockness monster. The only reason it's so popular is because religion plays on your insecurities and says "if you dont believe then you goto hell". And people are also grown up in already religous families which makes them religous too most the time, and so the cycle continues. But everybody has a right to believe in what they want so if that's what they chose, then that's what they get...(cont. in next post)

How can you make such confident statements to what I have done? I was raised Christian and studied it myself. I remained a Christian for many years, reading the Bible and commentary on the Bible, before I lost my faith two and a half years ago. Somewhere along the line, I developed compassion for humanity (for the girl who is raped day after day, for the Jewish men women and children thrown in the furnace) and became a Luciferian.
