yea but orks can vastly outnumber an opponent. i have 6 squads, each with 30 boyz. it's fun to field them all at once, just for the intimidation.

i thought i was mad fielding 3 mobz of 30 that was untill my mate who plays imperial guard used 2 manticores to nuke 1 mob a turn, so now i go with 5 battlewagons all with deffrollas and run him down.

if you take 2 warbosses you can count 2 units of nobz as troops choice. so you can then take 5 units of nobz 2 as troops 3 as elites,units of nobz can take the battle wagon as a transport but cant take a killkannon. and then you could take 3 more battlewagons as heavy support if you wanted to.

I play nids and my friend plays Dark Angels.

Result: he won in close combat with em.

Reason: Belial with 5 termis assaulted from a L-R Crusader. makes: 3 with Stormshield + TH

3 with Lightning claws.

1 Apothecary in the lot.

They raped 1 Hive Tyrant (2x T-L Devs with 2 Guards) 1 Melee HT with 2x Scythes.

1 squad of 6 genestealers. and a couple of gaunts.

3x 3+ invuls + feel no pain and Belial = Fawesome.

Yea but still nids are proficient swarm units especially when they have without number upgrades, nids are always going to be well rounded in melee when orks actually stink in melle combat unless they charge cuz there only str3 and I 2 when normal but nids arent that way. i have a friend who plays a compettitively shooty ork army tho.

Tyranids are far from the best melee army. 

Chaos Daemons (Ever head of daemonettes? they make genestealers look like a joke), Orks (when swarming, this army did not have much in that respect), Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar (when upgraded right) can all out-assault tyranids.

Okay, ill give you that point, where i play we dont have space puppies. but chaos is an elitist assualt vs a swarm assualt which also coupled with the nids upgrades make them, if they play it right the best assualt army.

Those must be some really suped up Tyranids for having so few of them at 1500 points. It's probably your gaunts. Just give them a weapon and maybe toxin sacs, that's it. Spend the upgrades on your good units, not your fodder.

i tried batling tyrands with orks in Dark Crusade but it didnt go out well my most advanced unit couldnt hold the tyrands off i was the first to die :(

dude ive played orks, 1000 point game, with like 24 orks wit nob the tyranids i charged had like an uber brood lord with 5 genestealers, i beat the genestealers with the loss of like 3 orks or 4, soon after i got charged by a carnifex, got some deff koptas but they didnt help, i won the battle with the loss of only 12 orks. i dont know if thats good or bad now....

Yeah I think you're right there. Unless I've overlooked something (that does tend to happen a lot unfortunately), the max speed on it is 18" since it's a fast vehicle, +1" if it's got a red paint job.
