For the Great Love of the Creator that is You in all of us often timid, reluctant and young in our own trembling hearts...We are made Whole that you existed. The door to All that is has taken your home....ma te wa e te Rangatira...haere, haere, haere ki tua i te arai kua wheturangitia.
His humor and timing is/was centuries ahead of all actors. Not just all NDN actors. Who was more powerful in their strategic use of stereotype? Molly Spotted Elk maybe. Dustin Hoffman? Winona Ryder. That's about it. I can think of someone funnier but not more brilliant. Powerful but not articulate. Witty but not softspoken. Etc.!
Holy shit, never thought I'd see Red Crow rapping! heh. I've only recently discovered his wisdom thanks to YouTube, and I'm really enjoying his enlightenment
I remember the first time I saw him. I was 12 years old. He was doing a concert with Buffy Saint Marie in Boston. I was in love instantly and quickly bought his album "Custer Dies for Your Sins"
Since I was little and being an adopted cherokee, searching family and reunited what was still living siblings when I was in my 40's,Red Crow talks about "by kind" the confused..in this video..such a sense of healind to watch this, a sense of growing pains.Pathways cross for reasons, His song is so moving, and how he cared and shared with others is outstanding. His love for caring will shine on through others, like the wind through the trees.thank you for this beautiful video of him...Hawkquest
I didn't know about Red Crow. From what I can see and hear, he contributed greatly in bringing attention and awareness about the Indigenous peoples' psyche and point of view on history and their land "the Americas" while at the same time showing a sense of humor.
thank you x

He did a great job as Albert Hosteen from the X-Files. Hopefully more Native American actors will rise to the prominence he did.
