I was fourteen years old in 1977, when I found myself in London staying on Sloane Square, not too far from Kings Road, and taking the Tube around town. I must've mortified the teen, (a couple years older than me, trussed in red tartan trousers with suspenders, a black leather jacket and a full bleached blonde mohawk), when I blurted out at him in wonder, "Are you one of the Bay City Rollers?" Little did I know I was witnessing one of the first bonafide punks. What a nerd!!!
