I find you in error for there are many tribes which have migrated into Tuareg lands. There are Tuareg tribes that are both dark and light skined due to marraige outside of thier lands because of their merchant and trade travels.
brilliant video. africa is the richest land on the planet in terms of culture. Can anyone tell me the anthropology of the 'red people of africa'? from the horn of africa, to across the north and west we see arab looking people with dark skintones. is it really because of intermixing between bantu and arabs? does anyone have any literature to share? i note the ancient egyptians were red skinned too.
@WinkyMaeve lol... wow, you are a moron. What is it with people claiming to know the tuaregs, when they have even seen them in person, you are ignorant. When people result to insult to make a point, you know they dont know what they are talking about
One more thing i dont care about the Berbere, and never say the are blacks. The toubou and the tuaregs are blacks. Dont tell me about my people.
@WinkyMaeve When people like you result to insult , i know that i have won the arguement. Tuaregs are not berber, They dont even speak the same language. What are you talking about, i will never class Berbers as blacks and blacks would never class Berbere as blacks, Tuaregs and Berbere are different people. I have lived around tuaregs, none of they would see themselves a BERBERS or white or red. The didnt enslave blacks, The arabs enslave blacks.
@WinkyMaeve''''after they ENSLAVED thousands and thousands of black women and men, they raised them and kept them with the same Tuareg culture. no one on the fucking planet argues that black people are berbers except you and other idiot pan africanists''
You comments bleeds ignorance and stupidity. The above comments comments is evident that tuaregs are not berbers. Tuaregs in Mali and Niger are blacks, but different feature to western africans. Why is that so hard for you to grasps.
@WinkyMaeve - Berbers are neither black nor white. They are distinct from both "black" Africans and from Europeans and Eurasians. They can't truly be classified as either. They're another distinct group that evolved indigenously to Africa just like the "black" Africans. They call themselves "white" or "pale" in their language but refer to Europeans as "pink".
He/she wrote Tuareg speak Tamazight and even still write with the
Ancient Amazigh .
Lmao actually they speak tuareg tamasheq, at least that what my mother speaks to me. You want to see the real tuareg (tamashek tuareg) come to niger, mali.
For those of you who want to know about Tuaregs, please dont take this video as a true reflection of tuaregs. If want to know about the tuaregs contact me. my mum is a tamashek tuareg. The tuaregs on this video are not tuaregs, they are tuaregs that have mixed with arabs, we dont refer to them as tuaregs. Their culture are different and they adopted the arab culture because they see us as primitive. Am a tuareg and nubian. let me know if want to find out more about my people.
just like europeans called u guys berber=savages u take pride and waving this primitive looking flag yet u have this very deep hatred to ur fellow african neighbors prooves even more why the europeans called u guys berber savages beating up ur southern brothers and insulting him for his skin that god had chosen for him. this is what a real berber look like yes yes REAL BERBER IS A BLEACHED WHITE GODLESS MAN! u hate ur ethiopian brothers when they need food u trow them rockets and booms.
Are you crazy? what the hell is the matter with you? did you see me write about hating anyone?
I just want to correct some misconceptions about the diversity in the African continent and let young African Americans that the continent of Africa isn't all black and that there are many sheds of color!
Tuareg, like Egyptians, haussa, songhai, fula, zulu, san people ..etc they are all proud of who they are racists!
just cool it and start appreciating diversity, it's not a bad thing
@Wassil29 i love how people who dont anything about the african are the one quick to about the Africans. Am tuareg/Nubian. My mother is tuareg from Algeria who migranted tpo Mali. Very thing you say on this video is a lie. Tuareg would never call themselve white or red skin.
@Wassil29 The Tuareg DNA is Haplogroup (E1b1a) African DNA (E1b1a) is found at low to moderate frequencies in North Africa, and northern East Africa. [10][18] The Tuareg are probably descended from ancient Saharan peoples described by Herodotus.[5] He described the ancient Libyan people of the kingdom of the Garamantes, of which archaeological evidence is found in the ruins of Germa. LOOK IT UP
@RedMeatForIdiots Not DNA, your talking about paternal lineage, or the Y chromosome single nucleotide polymorphism passed on from father to son.
Also most North Afrcians, and Horn Africans are E1b1b or E3b not E1b1a or E3a. None the less all Africans of these lineages share a common male ancestor from approximately 30 thousand years ago.
Africa is also the most genetically diverse continent in terms of humans on planet Earth. Therefore it's not easy to categorise Africans!
@Ethiopiaaaaa The berber are the worst people ever, You should see how they kill the Tuaregs in Algeria. My mother was born and brought up in Algeria, some of the stories she tells us are horrific.
ok theres no such thing as berber people all u north africans are truly a bunch of mixes of all ethnicity combined all u north africans so I dont know what u talking about. yes and u guys literaly have this self hate to be memeber of africa thats why u call urself maghreb instead of north africa. what a bunch of self haters thats why ethiopian african union they close the doors on north africans self haters, u darkies start bleaching to look like ur master europe. BERBER=SAVAGES
This video shows a lot of ethnic pride, but no real proof as to an origin. These are 'modern' examples of a very diverse group, however I noticed very few photographs of darker skinned Tuareg, which is weird because there are a lot of Tuareg who are very dark. I would really like to see a complete pictorial with interviews and stories of the people themselves and their origin stories. Afrocentric is a African perspective of history just as western history is predominately euro centric.
I'm confused as to why the argument about a culture especially a African culture always comes down to the color of skin? Africa has the most diverse ethnic groups anywhere so skin color doesn't come into play. As for the Tuareg, there are light skinned people and very dark skinned people, like in Africa and it's many climates and geographic locations the people are all different and unique but still African No one really knows for sure the exact origins of the Tuaregs.
King Tut Unwrapped - King Tut's DNA R1b | Royal Blood on youtube take a look at this also pal:) Maybe they didn`t drew him white enough for you but dna analysis says a different story. I`m done with you mister afrocentrist and don`t bother me with you pseudofacts invented by marxist and ``black nationalist``(or is it supremacist or racist?) ``scholars``.
@CountKarloff lol for thae last time there is no such thing as "negroid" stock R1b is also a haplo group of Hausa people. Are hausa's generally very light? You're ignorant. guy just learn something for a change.
@Fuzzbabby You are an incorrigible moron, so I`m not gonna bother debating you. Sure there is no negorid stock and no whites neither, because it bbothers you and your marxist ilk.:)
@CountKarloff lol sorry but in the world of science and anthropology in 2011 negroid means nothing lol. And good job ignoring the fact that I blew a hole in your R1b theory for tut not being black. Its a haplo group that chadic people...yes, who are black belong to.
@Fuzzbabby Political corectness. Read about cavalli sforza`s genetic studies ``anthropologyst``. He says subsaharan africans are the most genetically different and isolated human group. So....
@CountKarloff ....soo what? lol sub-Saharan Africans are a people on phenotypic and genetic diversity. lol Im an anthropology student. and the case is usually one of two things with people like you. A) you are purposefully taking the statements out of context or B) doing so out of ignorance. Australian Aborigines are probably the most genetically distinct group on the planet. And even then that says nothing out RACE just Genetics.
@Fuzzbabby Race is genetics! But you are clearly a race flat earther. No point in talking with you. Please stop responding. Hve a nice, politically correct and ``enlightened`` life.
@CountKarloff Could you or Fuzzbaby explain to me who and what is a Negriod? Are they all SubSaharan or are they The Negritos of the Phillipines or the Oceanic and Andaman Island people? Tuaregs are beautiful African people no matter what their phenotype is...They are still ancient Africans. Haplogroups E an R are very complex groups and their are a lot of theories of where they originate. All Africans don't look a like just like a Scot looks different from a Polish person. Peace and Love.
It was also very hard for them to reproduce the exact skin tones at the time and whites in the old technicolor movies looked pretty brown or dark orange. But you can see the clear distinctions that they made between them and the darker nubians and the other blacks, especially the slaves.The facial features of the dead masks are clearly not negroid and there is plenty of evidence of the written document kind which show that they saw themselves as not racially black and different from blacks.
No one except afrocentrists believe this bullshit. A lot of people are afraid of being called racist or worst and don`t argue with them. The hierogliphes clearly show skin tones of mediteranean or near eastern people. He is even trying to redefine caucasian or what brown skinned means. Brown or moreno mexicans would be amazed to find out that they are black or that blacks are the real brown skinned people. Of course most american black have a lot of european ancesty and most aren`t ``coal black
@TheHyperboreanzenith It`s not likely that the european slave traders got to many slaves from the interior. And if these tuaregs are mixed race or even mostly black, what would ``tuareg ancestry`` mean?
Check out the white boy coming up with all kinds of things they must just have read. Africa has always been black and all ways will be. Whites will always be the children of Africans well. Nuf Said.
@germanyinthehouse Subsaharan africa has alaways been black, not egypt or the berber lands of the maghreb. These tuaregs do seem to be of mixed black and berber origins though. And we`re not the children of africans, anymore than we are the children of the chimpanzees, who are also our ancestors. And let`s not forget the neanderthals. The tuaregs are nomad brigands. So you can keep these half-breeds of the sahara, if you want.
@Wassil29 oh some Around 2:06-2:12 They look liked berbers But I wasn't sure if they were tuaregs, Their clothing seems very different, But On 2nd thought they might be North african tuareg versus west african Maybe thats why the clothing is different, Can you find the exact information on those pics, only if you can though. Also Tuaregs arent the only nomad group that fights for rights in Niger fulani and others do aswell infact they joined forces.
@Wassil29 dude Theres nothing wrong with most Tuareg being black, very few arent, and even in Lybia, and algeria and morrocco, other berbers even see them as black. Black is just a social construct there isnt anything genetic about black, its just social. Afrocentrist this or that, well who created these black, labels. Why are the yoruba igbo oromo khoisan, black? why Tuaregs are berbers, they may be black but They are Tuaregs 1st.
Watch the video link below and you'll understand a bit better who is and who isn't Targui (single of tuareg).
I feel embarrassed to have to show you the link but you're acting with great disrespect and embarked on misrepresenting peoples and cultures so watch this clip of Dr Louis gates jnr documentary on the subject
@Wassil29 lol you're silly There are tuaregs who look just like the servant...lol what are you talking about tuaregs are not the only west african tribe to have servants ...its all too common Im wondering what you were trying to prove
Actually he isn't a servant... they're associated with the tribe for many generations, they eat the same Taguella from the same dish!
The point I was trying to make is that the culture and origins of Tuaregs is Amazigh .. there is no point denying that .
There are youtube videos that only show hausa and fulba and passing them on to be Tuaregs this is cultural vandalism that will only contribute to more Afrocentric ignorance.
@Wassil29 um lol Im african I know the difference between a hausa and tuareg There are many videos of tuaregs online as well. When did I ever try to deny their origins as AMazigh? where?....lol Its really easy to label anything contradictory thats truthful as afro-centric...lol the topic IS afro-centric...Tuaregs are africans...lol
Actually Hausa do dress similar to Tuaregs after all the Tajamust that the Tuareg wear is traditionally manufactured by Hausa.
so it's easy to pass them on as Tuareg.
Yes there are Tuareg videos but others are complete fantasy.
As for Afrocentrism .. . it has lost its full meaning of the 60's, 70's... when it was all about correcting genuine historical mistakes and giving Africa its rightful place in History, but nowadays it's just a tool used by American black supremacists.
@Wassil29 lol I can still tell, Becaue tuareg generally have this distinctive blue in the Tagelmust or. The tuareg videos Im speaking of 95% of them have all being accurate actuall documentation of tuaregs.
@Wassil29 I have african roots so I know plenty about its diversity and histories. Fulani, Malaasy Cape verde , Sao tome e principe, angola, Egypt, nubians, Yoruba, Oromo, Tigre, Rashaida, igbo, chadian. I study and learn. And whether you know so or think so, or not, Accomplishments by africans are still to this day being downlplayed, and africans, are very much ethnically and culturally and traditionally misrepresented. Even Africans at times buy into the stereotypes for them.
Accomplishements wiill still be not just downplayed but totally ignored as long as Those pseudo-historian charlatans keep being interested in Egypt, Moors and forget to dig into the past of other parts of Africa.
As a matter of fact no documentaries or research would be made by big institutions because those who shouldn't be interested are instead barking at the wrong tree.
@Wassil29 lol so your advice is to give up on telling the truth? i disagree more and more younger black kids and kids of all races are being exposed and thought the truth about Egypt's history, I see more accurate documentaries and portrayals than ever before, I do agree that there are so many parts of africa to explore. but every place has its gems so i understand the interest in timbuktu and egypt, etc but i think the efforts are worth it . Are you from france? are you berber?
@Wassil29 very true, but we shouldn't als be put down for our blackness. upon meeting me people dont go or theres that enuwani/krio/mande fellow, they see a black person, and i shouldn't be ashamed of my blackness now allow it to define me completely.
@Fuzzbabby The truth is that egyptians were and are caucasoid meditereneans! Take a look at those ancient hierogliphes. You`ll see brownish people, with black slaves building the piramides and getting whipped by a lighter skin or brownish guy. Most of what you see in the media, including very many ``historical documentaries`` are false propaganda.
@CountKarloff lol I actualy study anthropology, and history. Im not some random. The only false propaganda is yours, Egypt, Nubia, Naqadan, all those places started out with dark skinned people. (black) All the Heirogliphics show it. Hausa also had slaves , does that mean that Hausa werent Black?..lol Moors were not a race but a group of people who shared the religion of islam, there were even moors from Senegal. Read a book
@CountKarloff I`ve read plenty of books, which were not written by frauds and charlatans. like the afrocentric and marxist scum you quote from. Read ``Not out of africa`` by Wellesley classics professor Mary Lefkowitz. And we`ve all read and heard of the shambles in which education(including universities) are in America, particularly in the realm of social sciences. Universities and schools in America, are more concerned with indoctrination, than with scholarship.
@Fuzzbabby Moors were berbers and arabs or north africa. The egyptians and berbers are africans because they are from africa. But africa is only a geographical expression. These people are not negroid or racially black. So stop trying to steal other peoples heritage you bunch of charlatans and crooks. And I don`t mean blacks, but afrocentrics only. I`m from romania, so don`t try any guilt trip on me, `cause we romanians haven`t had anything to do with blacks. I don`t owe you anything pal.
@CountKarloff "africa is only a geographical expression" listen Karloff, I AM AFRICAN, no explanation needed. The reason Ancient Egyptians where so called "black" is not by them being in the continent of Africa, but by the stock of people who populated and started Egyptian civilization. You've already shown your ignorance by your statements. Also who asked YOU for anything? Did I tell you that YOU owe me something. I could care less about Romania its not African, or even Mediterranean. bye
@Fuzzbabby Of course there are many exceptions, to that pitiful state of affairs in which US social sciences departments can be found. Funny how US education system is so concerned with ideological indoctrination, of the kind they practice in the communist bloc, up until 1989(1991 for ussr). Only it`s multiculturalism, instead of communism. Cultural marxism, instead of economic marxism. The hierogliphes show brown or tanned egyptians and black(nubian) slaves. I`ve allready pointed that out.
@CountKarloff Actually what you've pointed out is your ignorance yet again. Nubians are brown "black people" are brown. The majority of all hieroglyphs especially in the earlier dynasties show people much darker than todays Mediterranean populations, The skin tones found on Nubian/egyptian hieroglyphs are the norm among darker skinned populations (black people). You're so of base and there's a lot to cover. Have you ever seen a nubian tomb? have you ever seen their hieroglyphs?
@CountKarloff 2nd Caucasian, Caucasoid, etc. are terms that really dont mean anything. This are terms of eugenics, an outdated science that grouped people into racial categories based on bone structure. Well, it failed I can go into ghana, or ethiopia, or rwanda or kenya, and find millions of people well within the range for what is Caucasian, and classify them caucasian, that is what eugenics is
@Wassil29 And at times africans try to distance themselves from w/e might be seen as definitely part of a stereotype, that includes wildness or ugliness or inferiority, or stupidty, instead of fighting those unreal images. So sometimes we hurt each other, Igbo against hausa, hausa against shuwa, Tigre agianst oromo, against somali, against kenyan, against malagasy, capeverdeans against liberians. Why? Sicilians and swedes arent fighting because of a few different features, why are we?
@Wassil29 godless man always proves to others while the righteous man knows god will shed the lights on truth to whom ever cross his path.brother i sense ur not religious cuz all ur coments proves u are a confused and have a hate for anyone that is a little bit darker skin then u. god created all colors and if he choose for me to be black it cuz he knows thats what suites me. the god fearing man see not the color of skin.
You're right it's a common thing .... I showed you the clip to let you know who is identified as a targui and who isn't.
you heard the African black guide explain it all to Dr Henry Louis Gates... although he explained it badly due to his poor English ! what he actually wanted to say is that they are happy in their tribal environment because because of all the benefits a Targui tribal way of life.. such as unity, security..etc
@Wassil29 picking up my bad habits? which are?...lol you're ridiculous own up to your own comments. YOu called him black because he fit the perfect stereotype of the european standard for black. You also have been trying hard to differentiate tuaregs from other black people which is why you showed me the video. To say" hey look tuaregs cant be black they own blacks"... as if most africans dont have a history of servile culture. The same
@Wassil29 Honestly would have called him the tour guide. In terms of race everyone in that video was black from the tuareg guy, the fulani woman, dr. henry louis gates, the guide, the bella. But That to me was obvious.
@Wassil29 lol and? Those same people will say that bout my dad or my grandmother, I dont care. Ive had people come up to me and tell me and my sister, you dont even look african, I dont care thats just plain ignorance
yes I have been trying to differentiate Tuareg from other groups that's the point ... I'm prepared to accept the differences instead of painting everyone Black, red or brown.
I showed you the video so you can see some sense! the documentary is American and it's informative and candid.
Dr Henry Louis Gates is an educated man and he's not afraid to investigate and ask serious questions because without that the documentary would have been boring and uninformative.
@Wassil29 by me saying, "hey those are tuaregs, hey those are fulani," and mentioning yoruba and igbo and hausa should alreay tell you that i understand african diversity. I however recognize that tuaregs fall under the black racial category. How does that paint them as all the same. Do fulani and yoruba share the same customs, Do jamaicans and african americans share the same culture? do spaniards and brits share the same culture. NO none of these groups do but they share the same race
@Wassil29 All I have said is the racial groups that are used to categorize people today include the word black Tuareg happen to fall under that group. How does that define them culturally, linguistically, Nationally. You're the one who made it a point to tell em they werent black by emphasizing that they call themselves red and what not, then you called the tour guide black...lol You believe in the construct you just dont want it applied to certain people. Btw many igbo also call themselves red
Tuareg are desert Berber people, their language,writing script, heritage, traditions, art etc... the fact that they have taken in a slaves doesn't give you the right to label most of them as black!
They are still fighting a civil war with the south black dominated governments in Niger and Mali who lets the french poison their land and people with radioactivity because of uranium mining.
a Targui knows who he is and he doesn't identify himself as black!
@Wassil29 lol I represent them as black? lol Im not the one who created the racial categories, black just happens to be what they fall under....."Targui knows who he is and he doesn't identify himself as black!"
yeah Niether does the fulani or yoruba, or igbo, yet You dont have a problem with calling them black....interesting. lol you seem really upset, does the word black anger you that much, if tuaregs arent black, then no one else is black.
@Wassil29 Lol I have said time and tme again that tuaregs are berbers, i dont know how many more times i can say it. I dont get why you showed me the video I knew tuareg like many other african ethnicities owned/have a servant class or system, and not all tuaregs have servant infact most dont. In closing what does that have to do with them being black, and how does being black, negate their berber-ness, Its not like I said they were african american or cuban or something.
@Wassil29 "So it's best to leave it at that because if you think a west African is a Somali and Fulba is khoisan then we're having serious problems."
At what point did I say this? or even imply so ..please find where I did and repost the comment. You cant go around making false claims. You just pulled that out of your ass.
@Wassil29 lol I know that the san resemble tibetans they are africas oldest people. Youre very much a hypocrite ready and willing to use the black label when you see fit. The racial classifications, the one you yourself used are broken down in 3 general racial groups, black, white, East asian/oriental/yellow. I never said these are the only defining characteristics of a person. I never compared the san to the fulani. Im not some random youtuber I actually study anthropology.
@Wassil29 Interesting as you left out the yoruba, and igbo......I think you believe in the racial constructs.... other wise you wouldnt have called anyone black, you just dont feel comfortable with them being applied to other...brown skinned african people (tuaregs). YOu are ready to argue, but you havent rea or listened carefully to my statements. I never used black to try and totally define them. I have always acknowledged tuareg culture
@THEBADASSOROMO I Know tuaregs are berbers however the word berber is too broad there are different ethnic berbers. Tuareg to berber is like Woodabe to Fulani. Yes ofcourse tuareg are berber but they are also distinctly tuareg.
@TheHyperboreanzenith Tuaregs weren't the only ones with slaves/servants etc. Hausa Fulani, etc. Had even more servants. servile class system Is extremely common throughout Africa.
@TheHyperboreanzenith I highly doubt that all Tuaregs are descendants of slaves, The other african tribes especially, during those ancient times would have been too powerful Fulani Songhay, Hausa, etc. Nonetheless thats their descent. As far as Morgan freeman yes there is a documented study of his DNA. Concerning Tupac there is well known documented information of his Paternal lineage. Also The tuareg slave population made up like 10% of Tuaregs, There was tons of intermarriage
@TheHyperboreanzenith The thing thats irrititating is when People are telling the truth, and the truth is hard to swallow for some. Turaegs are descendants of berbers they are one kind of berber it just so happens that the happen to be black/descedants of darker africans. Whats the big deal the average tuareg in classification of race is black ...How does that take away from culture tradition etc. Of course not all berbers are black.....most are white. but they are all berbers.
M35 also known E1b1b1 is distributed in high concentration from Morocco to less concentrations inthe middle east, it's also present in Europe with concentrations of up to 15 percent, also amongst Jews, west Asians..etc
Recently even Adolf Hitler was discovered to be M35 so how the hell do you reduce m35 to just Ethiopia?
M35 subclade EM81 is the typical haplogroup of the Tuaregs just as it it for all North African Berbers.
@THEBADASSOROMO I know tuareg are berbers however not all berber tribes are the same or speak the same dialect. Everyone who is M35 is an ethiopian? I wish people would stop using genetic information they dont understand, Hausas are R1b same as many western europeans, However that does not make the Hausa And english man. Yoruba share genetic links with Many slavic groups, that does not make a yoruba a serb. Tuaregs are not ethiopian .....lol Tuaregs live mainly in west africa, Mali & Niger
@THEBADASSOROMO They also live in Burkino Faso, Algeria, NIgeria Libya, etc I dont understand how you rip a people out of their country and culture. Tuaregs are ethiopians? tuareg dont even live in ethiopia. & you clearly dont understand the genetics behind it all.
@Fuzzbabby Some berber tribes are of mixed-race descent and that`s why they are darker. It`s not that ``some berbers are like that``. Most likely they intermarried or bred with the black slaves they took, when raiding tribes of subsaharan africa. Berbers are probably more of a linguistic and ``cultural``group, than a racial or ethnic group.
Respond to this video... And don`t confuse your terms ``mr anthropologist``. Eugenics was about improvig a race or human population thru selective breeding of ``superior types ``, thru the killing off of ``defective infants`` and the sterilization of ``mental and physical defectives`` . This I most certainly disaprove of. They also wanted the educated and the middle and upper classes to have more babies. They worried that they were being outbred by poor,ignorant ``inferiors``.
Respond to this video... Planned parenthood was founded in America by such people who wanted to determine the poor(especially non-north european immigrants and blacks) to use contraceptive methods and have less babies.Racial classification was a big part of anthropology and it still is in many countries. It didn`t rely on bone structure only, but on skin color, facial features, ancestry etc
Respond to this video... You most certainly wont find caucasoid looking people in kenya. In ethiopia and the horn of africa you will find them because a large part of the population is semitic speaking and of mixed negroid and near eastern ancestry. Look at how emperor haille salasie looked like an arab. They got their languages and much admixture from sabian arabs, in very ancient times. It`s been talked and written about for generations by historians and anthropologists.
@Fuzzbabby The term caucasian and a one of the first racial classification schemes were invented by a german anthropologist named Blumenbach. This was in the early 19th century, when there was no darwinism and no eugenics. In fact, a swedish naturalist first created a racial classification scheme in the 18th century. Carl Linnaeus was his name and he is the first or one of the first to do so, I believe.People noticed color and race for millenia though.The egyptians drew the slaves darker...
Respond to this video... Explain why the slaves were painted black and the others brown, on the various tomb paintings or hierogliphes! Or why that national geographic and discovery channel made a big deal about THE BLACK PHARAOS FROM NUBIA WHICH RULED EGYPT FOR 75 YEARS? They clearly explained that the ancient egyptians were NOT BLACK, even though they are p.c. cowards usually. How did the egyptians become lighter skinned anyway? From arabs? Like the sudanese?!:))
Respond to this video... DNA research by LL Cavalli Sforza and other geneticysts shows a sharp genetic divide between the populations of North Africa and those of Subsaharan Africa. And when ancients described individuals as black or dark it didn`t mean of negroid stock necessarily. Even a byzantine emperor of armenian descent was called black or`` darkie`` by greeks. And so was a romanian medieval prince Negru Voda, proven to be of cuman turkic descent more recently. They were brown
you cracker will try anything to carve out a reality for your self. before the cracker came the word african from scipio africanus a roman and sahara from invading so called arabs did not exsit. you know you a lie. just hoping these stupid people will continue to believe in it to make it retroactive
It really is a case of pulling at straws if your saying the Tuaregs of even Mali are Amazighen. Tuaregs have a much darker phenotype and are more genetically linked with other African groups that are nearby, although they do have people who are light skinned but not white too. Amazighen people are much closer to their European cousins by geneotype and phenotype and live much closer to the cost. Having said this I have seen pictures of both African looking berbers and european ones.
Tuaregs are one nation.. their language is Tamazight that's who they are.. over the centuries they've taken a lot of slaves, and some have mixed with neighbouring tribes like wodabee and fula but they're still the same people as they always were.
some Afrocentrists put images of Hausa who also often wear the "tajalmust" and claim they are Tuaregs this is wrong.
Freed ekelan (ex slaves) also adopted targui lifestyle, traditions and language
@Wassil29 There would be some credence to some of what you were saying if it were not couched in negative racial language under the guise of a balanced argument. Your argument from what I can see is that Tuaregs are white and because of slavery - it couldn't possible be anything else they have become mixed right? by the same analogy the Tuaregs - urban dewellers of the North where did they get their slaves from? Would not the easist accessible place be Europe, so would you say they to are mixed?
In the north there are various other Amazigh tribal groups but there are no Tuaregs because Their territory stretches from northern Burkina Faso to southern Libya and Algeria..... Far away from the coastal north.
The reason is that in central Sahara water is rare and human habitation is confined to few Oasis separated by huge distances.
The Tuaregs have never slaved white people .. it's coastal north that were involved in white slavery.
@Wassil29 I also think you are wrong when you say as you did in a previous post ' that black people or not indigenious to Saharan Africa' please like so many other people( Eurocentric & Afrocentric) stop using these vague terms. What exactly does 'black' mean at least try to find out where someone comes from and address them as such. But more to the point if 'black' people were not indigenous to the region that would 'ME' and the last 700 know and confirmed era of my own family history null umm.
You probably heard me say that Blacks are not indigenous to North of the Sahara.
San people left their mark in the Tassili Region for many thousands of years until severe climate change that pushed hunter gatherer san people further south leaving behind Berber nomadic herdsmen (Tuareg) who will adapt to the harsh dry environment, this is well illustrated in rock painting
Over time Tuareg did mix with Africans as I explained previously.
@Wassil29 To the extreme coastal regions, there may be no evidence of early african settlement however this does nor mean that certain groups were/were not indigenous. To my understanding the San, Mier, Khomeni's are indigenous to south africa if there were groups,that travelled further a field, when there was a savanah this would not only explain the rock drawings but possibly if groups travelled even further north to the coastal regions. The Berbers were definitly one of the most earliest
The Ancestors of khoisan people left their mark on a wide area in Africa.... their tassili rock painting resembles nguni art of south africa proof that these round headed hunter gatherer as they are sometimes called settled in the area.
They became confined to the kalahari only after the Bantu expansion.
@Wassil29 cont : about where they claim to be from to suit some historical purpose, it makes no difference wether or not the were from that region, the point is they are not now.Can you say you are not doing the same? Your videos present what you feel (present one excluded) north africans are in order to counter the claim of stupid afrocentrics but in the mean time you are marginalsing alot asmaraani's and others - food for thought maybe
One thing you should know is that Tuaregs preserved Berber Culture even better than we have in the north ... Even the ancient Tifinagh Libyan script was kept alive even today and now it's experiencing a revival.
Everything about the Tuaregs is Berber.. and they themselves will tell you that.
I acknowledged that they have mixed with neighbouring tribes such as fula, wadaabe ..etc ... what more do you want me to say ?
My interaction with African Black people is very different from my interaction with American Afro-centrists.
I am not a racist and I do not have ill feelings towards any African people but I do find American Afrocentrists to put it mildly “very irritable" and I do my best to debunk their unfounded wild claims.
I agree with your last statement but you have to understand that every time I cut them some slack.... they want more and I am not prepared to give away my heritage.
@Wassil29 Of course one should not give up their heritage, if needs be one has to fight to preserve it, the best possible way to me that doesnt include marginalising (intentionally/non-intentionally) people that are in the same group and share the same cultural values, that would be very damaging. If for instance my father were to read some of these comments (not that he can because he doesnt communicate in English) he would be angry at you not the afrocentrics, simple because he would put
@Wassil29 Yes, of course he would, but he wouldnt do so in a way that would divide him against his brothers, tribe or community. I think our differences here is on methodology
@Wassil29 cont : as some 'majnoon' crackpots who are clearly searching, but would expect a Berber to know better, in terms of the admixtures we all have. I would never dream of calling my fair uncle a 'cracker' and he would never call his cousin a 'nigger' because we all hail from the same Tuareg region in Libya. When I walk down the street with my morrocan sister in law people might think Oh there goes a nigger with a white kinda looking person - until they hear us. My point is in tackling
I will never call anyone the N word ... I always try to make my point by staying as polite as I can...although I sometime lose my cool and become blunt in my comments but I never resort to Racist insults
I don't agree when you say that you should expect better from an Amazigh... it's a bit patronising to dismiss "Them" as Crackpots and expect a higher standard of behaviour from us Berbers?
I feel everyone is accountable on their actions ... including crackpots :)
@Wassil29 No, you have clearly misunderstood me, probably because the responses are disjointed. I said Afrocentrics would be dismissed as mad crackpots who are clearly searching, yes and I would expect better from an Amazigh because you clearly know who you are and have an history and culture that spans thousands of years that is steeped in both harshness and beauty......are you going to let some fool who has been reading a book for a year make you loose your cool of course not
@Wassil29 afrocentrics try not to marginalise others, divide and rule is a very powerful tools. My brothers and I who have been following the comments are more interested in what is said by other so called Berbers, because in trying to make a point they can expose their own ideas............should we set up our vid saying this is who we really go back to Libya and then start saying things about other Berbers who may not look like us of course not this causes discontent. Yes there is a
@hummingbird975 the nature of the Afrocentric debate and claims leaves us very little space to manoeuvre... their claims are not just surprising but to us they are outright insulting because we belong to a culture where the past is very precious and the forefathers are still as important as if they were alive.... so when you see someone coming to you saying that you are an Arab and he is a Moor then the 2 parties have started on the wrong foot.
I only speak for myself and I am not responsible on what others are saying.... having said that I do understand the frustration of some Amazigh and the way they snap back at those who provoke them.... not all of us approach a debate in the same way and patience can run thin when faced with wild claims, accusations and often insults.
@Wassil29 yes, some Amazigh, may get angry and then it becomes an emotive because to me it is like stooping to there level. Because emotion and anger is what drives them - you've heard them talk - and thats pure anger. I once invited an Afrocentic home to Libya, we live in Sahara this person was unable to stay with us for 48hrs because it was difficult I pointed out to them whatever you think you were you are not now if you cant eat our food you cant steal our culture. That provoked thought
@Wassil29 thought in that person. Although not all afrocentrics are the same and not everyone can do or would be willing to do that. I just dont like the polorization. No Amazigh should be angry Berber culture is such that it embraces that live or want to live that lifestyle no one can take that away, because you cant take something away from someone by force. What is more important is working for the language to be made on par with Arabic and to educate people in North Africa,
@Wassil29 yes there is a responsibility to educate, but also to tackle the negative ideas that some Berbers appear to have and as far as im concerned they are alien to Berber society and to its progress.
@Wassil29 settlers in the extreme north of the continent, whoes blended phenotype includes Carthagian, Vandal, Phonician and Roman ancestary, so Tuaregs have more of a saharan blend as opposed to a european one. I still think that you are the mirror image of an afrocentric, in terms that you are both presenting what you want to present in polarized terms, but I have to say this video for me is a lot better than the others. You see afrocentrics are lost and it angers me when they try to lie
The same goes for the Vandals which was a relatively brief historical period and confined to Carthage alone.
The General Belisarius did a thorough job in expelling them out of Carthage, they fled in their small boats.. many to Spain and others to various Mediterranean islands and southern Europe.
But the greatest historical misconception is Rome ! ...
We were provincial Romans.. and “mare nostrum” was like a Mediterranean union with legions recruited locally.
There is a lot of misconceptions about Rome and the nature of its relations with Mediterranean provinces... Power was shared and North Africa had a major say in the senate...1/3 of the senate at least was taken by north Africans from end of 2nd century ..Onwards.
So it's not an invasion or a colonisation in the modern sense but rather a union based on common interests and shared values.
If you look like these people then I suggest you have a lot of Berber or perhaps white lineage in you, because Tuareg's Sub-Saharan neighbours look nothing like them!
Tuaregs took a lot of slaves and this is clearly visible in some of them but their noble Families still look like any other Saharan Nomads from the Maghreb.
Unlike Black Supremacists and Afrocentrists, I try my best to give a wider perspective to reflect reality on the ground.
Ethiopians/Somalies/Eritrean/Sudanese/Fulani/Tuaregs etc etc are all the same.They are MULLATOS like Obama but instead of European DNA they have ARAB,BERBER,and EGYPTIAN DNA.A different caucasian source.
The out of africa is PURE BULLSHIT and is to make people feel bad for the black race and say we are related and come from them.But the clear evidenc prooves the opposite.
It's really annoying when afroscumbags boast about "Africa" being the most "diverse place.Don't they know the reason Africa is so diverse is because of all the different racial types living there,back migrations from outside of africa, and all the mixture that went on there with other races.Not because blacks have "special powers" or some other stupid shit.Stupid fucks.
North Africa is 1 of the most diverse (colorwise) in all of Africa. These ethnic groups r composed of people of many shades. Slavery was not a color based thing in Africa, both blacks & non blacks have been slaves in Africa 4 temporary periods of time & then freed 2 mesh back into society. Painting an image of an All black or All white North African culture is fallacy. Even many of the images you showed were of Black Africans..different appearance same culture.
Tuaregs homeland is far away from the rest of the Amazigh populations north of the sahara where the bulk of the maghreb's population reside, unlike the North Tuaregs have no other source of slaves but the Sub-Saharan one.
Well documented Tuareg caravan travels as far as Cairo taking slaves and gold from timbuktu and other cities
Black people arent indigenous to north of the Sahara and the skin tone difference in the maghreb is mild and regional due mainly to the vast territory
@Wassil29 "fall back" an African American term LOL. Anyways Im not in the group of people u r angry with. Im not a "black supremacist" , the very idea makes me LOL. I overstand that my current body is a temporary incarnation so I really dont have any strong personal interest vested in stealing anyone's culture or something. & politically correct LOL...nothing PC about me. I deal in truth only & understand your motivation is racism/anger based on the perception that others are stealing from you.
"your motivation is racism/anger based on the perception that others are stealing from you"?
My motivation is to protect the heritage of my forefathers and will I never allow pseudo-Historians or charlatans to highjack our historical heritage and colour-label my forefathers
In the USA "African" has become synonymous with "Black" and history professors are intimidated into saying that Egyptians and Moors were black.
American Afrocenrism is a real danger and not a perception
@Wassil29 I don't think most of the people you are addressing are trying to say African = Black. But there is no denying the fact that there is no huge wall that prevents "black" people from crossing the Sahara which they have been doing for all of human history, recall before there were any non-black people black Africans (all of our ancestors) populated the globe. If black Africans can do that dont pretend they cant go pass the Sahara unless someone enslaves them and transports them lol.
So contrary to mainstream historians who acknowledge the formidable natural Barrier that Sahara Desert represents, you believe that it was routinely crossed by Sub-Saharans?
You Say "Before there were non black Africans"?
Are you suggesting that Amazigh aren't indigenous to Africa?
Didn't you know that the Bantu Expansion that started in Cameroon was by 1000BC confined only to southern half of africa 2000 years after the pyramids of Egypt were already built
As for black people resourcefulness in populating the planet, let me tell you that "Out of africa" theory that supposed to have happened 60.000 years has been challenged in recent years and one recent serious challenge came the Chinese who have discovered Homosapien remains dating back to 110k years.
So as you can see that theory is looking rather shaky right now .
This video was in response to users like Doox420 and other Black American Supremacists who have made videos portraying all tuaregs as Negroes but that didn't seem to bother people like you who come up with anecdotes about how Slavery was not exclusive to blacks!
You're wrong! Slavery was exclusive to blacks in all inland Africa excluding only the coastal north where europeans were also taken captive but often exchanged for ransom but sadly nobody paid to free black slaves
Some like those in libya often use a white cloth covered by the tajamust on the top therefore they don't get as much staining and their women rarely use stained clothing.
Others use white "cheche" instead and reserve the tajalmust for special occasions, But traditional tuaregs call themselves "kel Tajalmust" or people of the tajalmust... after all it's what gave them the name of the "blue men of the desert".
They also attribute health and beauty qualities to the staining :)
I'm not sure I understand what you mean? .. if you mean why I didn't include him in the video...well it's simply because I took a random number of photos and I've chosen those with high bitrate as I do with all my videos.
But if you mean where he actually is .. I heard he left his exile in Libya and went back to his native Mali as part of a peace initiative between Tuareg rebels and the black dominated Mali military government.
I've seen pics of unveiled tuaregs who had no negroid features and hair straight as a ruler.Most of these people look like they have negroid ancestry.They look mullato/hybrids.Though I could be wrong because just having dark doesn't mean they have black ancestry.Too much mixing with slaves probably changed their look I guess.
Why are you talking about North Africans or Africans. Talk about Europeans and leave our history and people alone.

By the way my mother is a tuareg and considers herself black, same applies to her family. Please dont listen to this person

@ajahamza You are a moron, if your mother is black she is not Tuareg, she is one of their former slaves.
Berbers are white/brown people, not black.
WinkyMaeve 6 months ago
@WinkyMaeve lol... wow, you are a moron. What is it with people claiming to know the tuaregs, when they have even seen them in person, you are ignorant. When people result to insult to make a point, you know they dont know what they are talking about
One more thing i dont care about the Berbere, and never say the are blacks. The toubou and the tuaregs are blacks. Dont tell me about my people.
ajahamza 6 months ago
@ajahamza Uh, do you not understand how stupid that is??
Tuareg are classified as berber, because the original Tuareg were white berbers.
after they ENSLAVED thousands and thousands of black women and men, they raised them and kept them with the same Tuareg culture.
no one on the fucking planet argues that black people are berbers except you and other idiot pan africanists.
WinkyMaeve 6 months ago
@WinkyMaeve When people like you result to insult , i know that i have won the arguement. Tuaregs are not berber, They dont even speak the same language. What are you talking about, i will never class Berbers as blacks and blacks would never class Berbere as blacks, Tuaregs and Berbere are different people. I have lived around tuaregs, none of they would see themselves a BERBERS or white or red. The didnt enslave blacks, The arabs enslave blacks.
ajahamza 6 months ago
@ajahamza
the tuaregs were slave traders. the red people of the continent had a hand in slavery.

You comments bleeds ignorance and stupidity. The above comments comments is evident that tuaregs are not berbers. Tuaregs in Mali and Niger are blacks, but different feature to western africans. Why is that so hard for you to grasps.
ajahamza 6 months ago
@WinkyMaeve - Berbers are neither black nor white. They are distinct from both "black" Africans and from Europeans and Eurasians. They can't truly be classified as either. They're another distinct group that evolved indigenously to Africa just like the "black" Africans. They call themselves "white" or "pale" in their language but refer to Europeans as "pink".

Lmao actually they speak tuareg tamasheq, at least that what my mother speaks to me. You want to see the real tuareg (tamashek tuareg) come to niger, mali.
ajahamza 6 months ago
For those of you who want to know about Tuaregs, please dont take this video as a true reflection of tuaregs. If want to know about the tuaregs contact me. my mum is a tamashek tuareg. The tuaregs on this video are not tuaregs, they are tuaregs that have mixed with arabs, we dont refer to them as tuaregs. Their culture are different and they adopted the arab culture because they see us as primitive. Am a tuareg and nubian. let me know if want to find out more about my people.

ajahamza 6 months ago
@Wassil29 The Tuareg DNA is Haplogroup (E1b1a) African DNA (E1b1a) is found at low to moderate frequencies in North Africa, and northern East Africa. [10][18] The Tuareg are probably descended from ancient Saharan peoples described by Herodotus.[5] He described the ancient Libyan people of the kingdom of the Garamantes, of which archaeological evidence is found in the ruins of Germa. LOOK IT UP
RedMeatForIdiots 1 month ago
@RedMeatForIdiots Not DNA, your talking about paternal lineage, or the Y chromosome single nucleotide polymorphism passed on from father to son.
Also most North Afrcians, and Horn Africans are E1b1b or E3b not E1b1a or E3a. None the less all Africans of these lineages share a common male ancestor from approximately 30 thousand years ago.
Africa is also the most genetically diverse continent in terms of humans on planet Earth. Therefore it's not easy to categorise Africans!
AskariWaryaa 2 weeks ago
@Ethiopiaaaaa The berber are the worst people ever, You should see how they kill the Tuaregs in Algeria. My mother was born and brought up in Algeria, some of the stories she tells us are horrific.

BERBER=SAVAGES
Ethiopiaaaaa 8 months ago
This video shows a lot of ethnic pride, but no real proof as to an origin. These are 'modern' examples of a very diverse group, however I noticed very few photographs of darker skinned Tuareg, which is weird because there are a lot of Tuareg who are very dark. I would really like to see a complete pictorial with interviews and stories of the people themselves and their origin stories. Afrocentric is a African perspective of history just as western history is predominately euro centric.
ClassiJazz 11 months ago
I'm confused as to why the argument about a culture especially a African culture always comes down to the color of skin? Africa has the most diverse ethnic groups anywhere so skin color doesn't come into play. As for the Tuareg, there are light skinned people and very dark skinned people, like in Africa and it's many climates and geographic locations the people are all different and unique but still African No one really knows for sure the exact origins of the Tuaregs.

@Fuzzbabby Political corectness. Read about cavalli sforza`s genetic studies ``anthropologyst``. He says subsaharan africans are the most genetically different and isolated human group. So....
CountKarloff 1 year ago
@CountKarloff ....soo what? lol sub-Saharan Africans are a people on phenotypic and genetic diversity. lol Im an anthropology student. and the case is usually one of two things with people like you. A) you are purposefully taking the statements out of context or B) doing so out of ignorance. Australian Aborigines are probably the most genetically distinct group on the planet. And even then that says nothing out RACE just Genetics.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago

Peace and Love.
osiruskat 1 year ago
It was also very hard for them to reproduce the exact skin tones at the time and whites in the old technicolor movies looked pretty brown or dark orange. But you can see the clear distinctions that they made between them and the darker nubians and the other blacks, especially the slaves.The facial features of the dead masks are clearly not negroid and there is plenty of evidence of the written document kind which show that they saw themselves as not racially black and different from blacks.
CountKarloff 1 year ago
No one except afrocentrists believe this bullshit. A lot of people are afraid of being called racist or worst and don`t argue with them. The hierogliphes clearly show skin tones of mediteranean or near eastern people. He is even trying to redefine caucasian or what brown skinned means. Brown or moreno mexicans would be amazed to find out that they are black or that blacks are the real brown skinned people. Of course most american black have a lot of european ancesty and most aren`t ``coal black
CountKarloff 1 year ago
@TheHyperboreanzenith It`s not likely that the european slave traders got to many slaves from the interior. And if these tuaregs are mixed race or even mostly black, what would ``tuareg ancestry`` mean?
CountKarloff 1 year ago
Check out the white boy coming up with all kinds of things they must just have read. Africa has always been black and all ways will be. Whites will always be the children of Africans well. Nuf Said.
germanyinthehouse 1 year ago
@germanyinthehouse Subsaharan africa has alaways been black, not egypt or the berber lands of the maghreb. These tuaregs do seem to be of mixed black and berber origins though. And we`re not the children of africans, anymore than we are the children of the chimpanzees, who are also our ancestors. And let`s not forget the neanderthals. The tuaregs are nomad brigands. So you can keep these half-breeds of the sahara, if you want.

Also Tuaregs arent the only nomad group that fights for rights in Niger fulani and others do aswell infact they joined forces.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Wassil29 dude Theres nothing wrong with most Tuareg being black, very few arent, and even in Lybia, and algeria and morrocco, other berbers even see them as black. Black is just a social construct there isnt anything genetic about black, its just social. Afrocentrist this or that, well who created these black, labels. Why are the yoruba igbo oromo khoisan, black? why Tuaregs are berbers, they may be black but They are Tuaregs 1st.

Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 um lol Im african I know the difference between a hausa and tuareg There are many videos of tuaregs online as well. When did I ever try to deny their origins as AMazigh? where?....lol Its really easy to label anything contradictory thats truthful as afro-centric...lol the topic IS afro-centric...Tuaregs are africans...lol
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby

Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 lol so your advice is to give up on telling the truth? i disagree more and more younger black kids and kids of all races are being exposed and thought the truth about Egypt's history, I see more accurate documentaries and portrayals than ever before, I do agree that there are so many parts of africa to explore. but every place has its gems so i understand the interest in timbuktu and egypt, etc but i think the efforts are worth it . Are you from france? are you berber?
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago

My advice is the opposite! we all should Accept that Egyptians are Egyptians, Ethiopians are Ethiopians and Moroccans are Moroccans.
the same advice goes to west Africans and African Americans ;)

@Wassil29 very true, but we shouldn't als be put down for our blackness. upon meeting me people dont go or theres that enuwani/krio/mande fellow, they see a black person, and i shouldn't be ashamed of my blackness now allow it to define me completely.

@Fuzzbabby The truth is that egyptians were and are caucasoid meditereneans! Take a look at those ancient hierogliphes.
CountKarloff 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby Moors were berbers and arabs or north africa. The egyptians and berbers are africans because they are from africa. But africa is only a geographical expression. These people are not negroid or racially black. So stop trying to steal other peoples heritage you bunch of charlatans and crooks. And I don`t mean blacks, but afrocentrics only. I`m from romania, so don`t try any guilt trip on me, `cause we romanians haven`t had anything to do with blacks. I don`t owe you anything pal.
CountKarloff 1 year ago
@CountKarloff "africa is only a geographical expression" listen Karloff, I AM AFRICAN, no explanation needed. The reason Ancient Egyptians where so called "black" is not by them being in the continent of Africa, but by the stock of people who populated and started Egyptian civilization. You've already shown your ignorance by your statements. Also who asked YOU for anything? Did I tell you that YOU owe me something. I could care less about Romania its not African, or even Mediterranean. bye
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby Of course there are many exceptions, to that pitiful state of affairs in which US social sciences departments can be found. Funny how US education system is so concerned with ideological indoctrination, of the kind they practice in the communist bloc, up until 1989(1991 for ussr). Only it`s multiculturalism, instead of communism. Cultural marxism, instead of economic marxism. The hierogliphes show brown or tanned egyptians and black(nubian) slaves. I`ve allready pointed that out.
CountKarloff 1 year ago
@CountKarloff Actually what you've pointed out is your ignorance yet again. Nubians are brown "black people" are brown. The majority of all hieroglyphs especially in the earlier dynasties show people much darker than todays Mediterranean populations, The skin tones found on Nubian/egyptian hieroglyphs are the norm among darker skinned populations (black people). You're so of base and there's a lot to cover. Have you ever seen a nubian tomb? have you ever seen their hieroglyphs?
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@CountKarloff 2nd Caucasian, Caucasoid, etc. are terms that really dont mean anything. This are terms of eugenics, an outdated science that grouped people into racial categories based on bone structure. Well, it failed I can go into ghana, or ethiopia, or rwanda or kenya, and find millions of people well within the range for what is Caucasian, and classify them caucasian, that is what eugenics is
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Wassil29 And at times africans try to distance themselves from w/e might be seen as definitely part of a stereotype, that includes wildness or ugliness or inferiority, or stupidty, instead of fighting those unreal images. So sometimes we hurt each other, Igbo against hausa, hausa against shuwa, Tigre agianst oromo, against somali, against kenyan, against malagasy, capeverdeans against liberians. Why? Sicilians and swedes arent fighting because of a few different features, why are we?

all that is due to bad education and can quickly change if those people are better governed.

Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 "you heard the African black guide" why did you call the guide black?
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
Because I'm picking up your bad habits ;)
the truth is I have no Idea what ethnic group he is .. he could be songhai, fulba or other smaller ethnic groups.
I guess I could have said the the guide or Malian guide in this case as he was the only guide.
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 picking up my bad habits? which are?...lol you're ridiculous own up to your own comments. YOu called him black because he fit the perfect stereotype of the european standard for black. You also have been trying hard to differentiate tuaregs from other black people which is why you showed me the video. To say" hey look tuaregs cant be black they own blacks"... as if most africans dont have a history of servile culture. The same
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
I'm just curious what would you have called the guy? ... and try and be honest !
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 Honestly would have called him the tour guide. In terms of race everyone in that video was black from the tuareg guy, the fulani woman, dr. henry louis gates, the guide, the bella. But That to me was obvious.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
Someone will disagree with you and say that Dr Henry Louis Gates and Obama are both white!
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 lol and? Those same people will say that bout my dad or my grandmother, I dont care. Ive had people come up to me and tell me and my sister, you dont even look african, I dont care thats just plain ignorance
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
yes I have been trying to differentiate Tuareg from other groups that's the point ...
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 by me saying, "hey those are tuaregs, hey those are fulani," and mentioning yoruba and igbo and hausa should alreay tell you that i understand african diversity. I however recognize that tuaregs fall under the black racial category. How does that paint them as all the same. Do fulani and yoruba share the same customs, Do jamaicans and african americans share the same culture? do spaniards and brits share the same culture. NO none of these groups do but they share the same race
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Wassil29 All I have said is the racial groups that are used to categorize people today include the word black Tuareg happen to fall under that group. How does that define them culturally, linguistically, Nationally. You're the one who made it a point to tell em they werent black by emphasizing that they call themselves red and what not, then you called the tour guide black...lol You believe in the construct you just dont want it applied to certain people. Btw many igbo also call themselves red
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
Respond to this video...
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 lol I represent them as black? lol Im not the one who created the racial categories, black just happens to be what they fall under....."Targui knows who he is and he doesn't identify himself as black!"
yeah Niether does the fulani or yoruba, or igbo, yet You dont have a problem with calling them black....interesting. lol you seem really upset, does the word black anger you that much, if tuaregs arent black, then no one else is black.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Wassil29 Lol I have said time and tme again that tuaregs are berbers, i dont know how many more times i can say it. I dont get why you showed me the video I knew tuareg like many other african ethnicities owned/have a servant class or system, and not all tuaregs have servant infact most dont. In closing what does that have to do with them being black, and how does being black, negate their berber-ness, Its not like I said they were african american or cuban or something.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
you missing the point! You see them as black but they don't! and neither do I !
So it's best to leave it at that because if you think a west African is a Somali and Fulba is khoisan then we're having serious problems.
Africa is diverse ethnically and culturally and one cannot appreciate a culture by tagging it Black or white.
If we said a Moroccan is the same as an Egyptian we would be upsetting both of them.
Just learn to live the richness and the diversity Africa has to offer
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 "So it's best to leave it at that because if you think a west African is a Somali and Fulba is khoisan then we're having serious problems."
At what point did I say this? or even imply so ..please find where I did and repost the comment. You cant go around making false claims. You just pulled that out of your ass.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
Who told you San people want to be called black?
Black will not describe San people .. it would be the same as calling them igbu or even Tuareg.
So black doesn't really work when you're describing a continent full of cultures and shades of colors.
Actually San people resemble more Tibetans than Massai or Fulba.
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 lol I know that the san resemble tibetans they are africas oldest people. Youre very much a hypocrite ready and willing to use the black label when you see fit. The racial classifications, the one you yourself used are broken down in 3 general racial groups, black, white, East asian/oriental/yellow. I never said these are the only defining characteristics of a person. I never compared the san to the fulani. Im not some random youtuber I actually study anthropology.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
You're wrong! people in the north see Tuareg as Tuareg, Sudanese as Sudanese and Ethiopian as Ethiopian.
Only in America you get this obsession of painting all the African continent black.
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 Interesting as you left out the yoruba, and igbo......I think you believe in the racial constructs.... other wise you wouldnt have called anyone black, you just dont feel comfortable with them being applied to other...brown skinned african people (tuaregs). YOu are ready to argue, but you havent rea or listened carefully to my statements. I never used black to try and totally define them. I have always acknowledged tuareg culture
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby ,
well actually Turages are also Berbers!
THEBADASSOROMO 1 year ago
@THEBADASSOROMO I Know tuaregs are berbers however the word berber is too broad there are different ethnic berbers. Tuareg to berber is like Woodabe to Fulani. Yes ofcourse tuareg are berber but they are also distinctly tuareg.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@TheHyperboreanzenith Tuaregs weren't the only ones with slaves/servants etc. Hausa Fulani, etc. Had even more servants. servile class system Is extremely common throughout Africa.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@TheHyperboreanzenith I highly doubt that all Tuaregs are descendants of slaves, The other african tribes especially, during those ancient times would have been too powerful Fulani Songhay, Hausa, etc. Nonetheless thats their descent. As far as Morgan freeman yes there is a documented study of his DNA. Concerning Tupac there is well known documented information of his Paternal lineage. Also The tuareg slave population made up like 10% of Tuaregs, There was tons of intermarriage
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@TheHyperboreanzenith more facts you know who is of Tuareg decent Tupac, Morgan freeman...etc.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@TheHyperboreanzenith The thing thats irrititating is when People are telling the truth, and the truth is hard to swallow for some. Turaegs are descendants of berbers they are one kind of berber it just so happens that the happen to be black/descedants of darker africans. Whats the big deal the average tuareg in classification of race is black ...How does that take away from culture tradition etc. Of course not all berbers are black.....most are white. but they are all berbers.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby
what are you on about? Turage are not descendant of Berbers, since they're also Berbers.
btw Turages are M35 and they're Ethiopians, and everyone who is M35 Is an Ethiopians.
THEBADASSOROMO 1 year ago
@THEBADASSOROMO
M35 subclade EM81 is the typical haplogroup of the Tuaregs just as it it for all North African Berbers.
stop propagating lies.
Wassil29 1 year ago
@THEBADASSOROMO I know tuareg are berbers however not all berber tribes are the same or speak the same dialect. Everyone who is M35 is an ethiopian? I wish people would stop using genetic information they dont understand, Hausas are R1b same as many western europeans, However that does not make the Hausa And english man. Yoruba share genetic links with Many slavic groups, that does not make a yoruba a serb. Tuaregs are not ethiopian .....lol Tuaregs live mainly in west africa, Mali & Niger
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@THEBADASSOROMO They also live in Burkino Faso, Algeria, NIgeria Libya, etc I dont understand how you rip a people out of their country and culture. Tuaregs are ethiopians? tuareg dont even live in ethiopia. & you clearly dont understand the genetics behind it all.
Fuzzbabby 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby Some berber tribes are of mixed-race descent and that`s why they are darker. It`s not that ``some berbers are like that``. Most likely they intermarried or bred with the black slaves they took, when raiding tribes of subsaharan africa. Berbers are probably more of a linguistic and ``cultural``group, than a racial or ethnic group.
CountKarloff 1 year ago
Respond to this video... And don`t confuse your terms ``mr anthropologist``. Eugenics was about improvig a race or human population thru selective breeding of ``superior types ``, thru the killing off of ``defective infants`` and the sterilization of ``mental and physical defectives`` . This I most certainly disaprove of. They also wanted the educated and the middle and upper classes to have more babies. They worried that they were being outbred by poor,ignorant ``inferiors``.
CountKarloff 1 year ago
Respond to this video...
CountKarloff 1 year ago
Respond to this video...
CountKarloff 1 year ago
@Fuzzbabby The term caucasian and a one of the first racial classification schemes were invented by a german anthropologist named Blumenbach. This was in the early 19th century, when there was no darwinism and no eugenics. In fact, a swedish naturalist first created a racial classification scheme in the 18th century. Carl Linnaeus was his name and he is the first or one of the first to do so, I believe.People noticed color and race for millenia though.The egyptians drew the slaves darker...
CountKarloff 1 year ago
Respond to this video...
CountKarloff 1 year ago
Respond to this video... They were brown

demetriushardin 1 year ago
@demetriushardin
"Africa" wasn't named after Scipio Africanus, it existed long before scipio and was named after the Amazigh tribe around Tunis called the "Afri"....
Scipio Africanus alied himself to the Amazigh Numidian chief Massinissa and both defeated hannibal in the battle of zama.
Scipio earned the Title Africanus because he won a battle in Africa.
Many Roman Generals and Emperors also add tittles of countries like Germanicus, britanicus indicating the location where they won battles

although nice vid - i am not an Afrocentric I dispise them dont fall into the same trap.
hummingbird975 1 year ago
It really is a case of pulling at straws if your saying the Tuaregs of even Mali are Amazighen. Tuaregs have a much darker phenotype and are more genetically linked with other African groups that are nearby, although they do have people who are light skinned but not white too. Amazighen people are much closer to their European cousins by geneotype and phenotype and live much closer to the cost. Having said this I have seen pictures of both African looking berbers and european ones.
hummingbird975 1 year ago
@hummingbird975
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 There would be some credence to some of what you were saying if it were not couched in negative racial language under the guise of a balanced argument. Your argument from what I can see is that Tuaregs are white and because of slavery - it couldn't possible be anything else they have become mixed right? by the same analogy the Tuaregs - urban dewellers of the North where did they get their slaves from? Would not the easist accessible place be Europe, so would you say they to are mixed?
hummingbird975 1 year ago
@hummingbird975
The Tuaregs have never slaved white people .. it's coastal north that were involved in white slavery.
check out the map or Tuareg region.
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 I also think you are wrong when you say as you did in a previous post ' that black people or not indigenious to Saharan Africa' please like so many other people( Eurocentric & Afrocentric) stop using these vague terms. What exactly does 'black' mean at least try to find out where someone comes from and address them as such. But more to the point if 'black' people were not indigenous to the region that would 'ME' and the last 700 know and confirmed era of my own family history null umm.
hummingbird975 1 year ago
@hummingbird975
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 To the extreme coastal regions, there may be no evidence of early african settlement however this does nor mean that certain groups were/were not indigenous. To my understanding the San, Mier, Khomeni's are indigenous to south africa if there were groups,that travelled further a field, when there was a savanah this would not only explain the rock drawings but possibly if groups travelled even further north to the coastal regions. The Berbers were definitly one of the most earliest
hummingbird975 1 year ago
@hummingbird975
The Ancestors of khoisan people left their mark on a wide area in Africa.... their tassili rock painting resembles nguni art of south africa proof that these round headed hunter gatherer as they are sometimes called settled in the area.
They became confined to the kalahari only after the Bantu expansion.

@Wassil29 cont : about where they claim to be from to suit some historical purpose, it makes no difference wether or not the were from that region, the point is they are not now.Can you say you are not doing the same? hummingbird975 1 year ago
@hummingbird975
Wassil29 1 year ago
@hummingbird975
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 Of course one should not give up their heritage, if needs be one has to fight to preserve it, the best possible way to me that doesnt include marginalising (intentionally/non-intentionally) people that are in the same group and share the same cultural values, that would be very damaging. If for instance my father were to read some of these comments (not that he can because he doesnt communicate in English) he would be angry at you not the afrocentrics, simple because he would put

I feel everyone is accountable on their actions ... including crackpots :)
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 No, you have clearly misunderstood me, probably because the responses are disjointed. hummingbird975 1 year ago
Yes there is a
hummingbird975 1 year ago
@hummingbird975 the nature of the Afrocentric debate and claims leaves us very little space to manoeuvre... their claims are not just surprising but to us they are outright insulting because we belong to a culture where the past is very precious and the forefathers are still as important as if they were alive.... so when you see someone coming to you saying that you are an Arab and he is a Moor then the 2 parties have started on the wrong foot.
Wassil29 1 year ago
@hummingbird975
I only speak for myself and I am not responsible on what others are saying.... having said that I do understand the frustration of some Amazigh and the way they snap back at those who provoke them.... not all of us approach a debate in the same way and patience can run thin when faced with wild claims, accusations and often insults.
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29 yes, some Amazigh, may get angry and then it becomes an emotive because to me it is like stooping to there level. Because emotion and anger is what drives them - you've heard them talk - and thats pure anger. I once invited an Afrocentic home to Libya, we live in Sahara this person was unable to stay with us for 48hrs because it was difficult I pointed out to them whatever you think you were you are not now if you cant eat our food you cant steal our culture. That provoked thought
hummingbird975 1 year ago
@Wassil29 thought in that person. Although not all afrocentrics are the same and not everyone can do or would be willing to do that. I just dont like the polorization. No Amazigh should be angry Berber culture is such that it embraces that live or want to live that lifestyle no one can take that away, because you cant take something away from someone by force. What is more important is working for the language to be made on par with Arabic and to educate people in North Africa,

You see afrocentrics are lost and it angers me when they try to lie

Punic Carthage wasn’t Phoenician, The legend says carthage was founded by princess Dido escaping for her life after her hometown tyre was destroyed.
Punic civilisation and language actually differed a lot from Phoenicians.
Recent DNA project in Lebanon and Tunis revealed no noticeable impact in the area.
watch?v=-ZjF5IfuML0
video above gives the result of the research in Phoenician DNA and draws the conclusion of a cultural influence rather than a genetic one
Wassil29 1 year ago
The same goes for the Vandals which was a relatively brief historical period and confined to Carthage alone.
The General Belisarius did a thorough job in expelling them out of Carthage, they fled in their small boats.. many to Spain and others to various Mediterranean islands and southern Europe.
But the greatest historical misconception is Rome ! ...
We were provincial Romans.. and “mare nostrum” was like a Mediterranean union with legions recruited locally.
Wassil29 1 year ago
@Wassil29

We will answer back Black supremacists who are targeting our Cultural heritage and many other cultures around the globe labelling them as "Black"
These people are Ambassadors of Racism and all their actions will reflects negatively on all black people.
So you can push your politically correct slogans elsewhere because here only true accounts of history matter.
There is no Sub-saharan cultural dimension in the maghreb, so fall back on your historical roots and leave us alone.

You don't think most of the people I'm addressing are trying to say African=Black??
Then perhaps you can explain to me why are you sharing a video in your Favourites titled " the Faces of Africa" /watch?v=CHGQkcyoEJM.
That Video doesn't show one single north African Amazigh or Egyptian and instead showed an exclusively Black Africa?
you're sharing other Afrocentric video material so please don't try and portray yourself as neutral because I find that hard to believe.

Therei s a clue for you there

Very interesting. But I wonder why they don't stop using those dies that stain their faces?
jmsnooks 1 year ago
@jmsnooks

What happened to that bahanga guy who clearly isn't black?
liquidsnake123 1 year ago
@liquidsnake123

Are most of these people hybrids?
I've seen pics of unveiled tuaregs who had no negroid features and hair straight as a ruler.Most of these people look like they have negroid ancestry.They look mullato/hybrids.Though I could be wrong because just having dark doesn't mean they have black ancestry.Too much mixing with slaves probably changed their look I guess.
liquidsnake123 1 year ago
@liquidsnake123
Tuaregs have lived the sahara desert for millenaries.. rock paintings show their distant ancestors 1000's of years BC.
Their home is the heart of the Sahara.... surely you don't expect them to look white or like their mediterranean Amazigh cousins?
They've adapted to their hot environment hence their darker skin tone and slavery also contributed to that effect but they don't look Sub-Saharan.
I respect the Tuaregs and I tried my best to portray them as they really are.
