theyre like the gaming ver of macs, look nice but so overpriced for the hardware....my pc cost 750 dollars and i can run any game maxed out np, but with alienware u have to pay at least a grand....the asus g74sx has the best price to performance ratio

various highspeed/hybrid/ssd HDDs <this for about 1.2-1.7 grand

an alienware m17x maxed costs 1k more, but the asus still wins

@BLOOD2298 The Asus is better sorry to say. Just because alienware advertises everywhere and is one of the most well known computer companies doesn't mean it actually has the best computers/laptops. The Asus G74SX is one of the top 10 laptops and it's cheaper than all of the lame Alienware ones. It also has some of the best performance I have seen and has tons of hard drive space. Quit being a fanboy...

@iDeathFX ikr Alienware sucks for the price. But in my opinion most companies who makes computers sucks. Asus, HP etc they all are not worth the price 2 me. I live in Sweden and here it's a company called Inet which are the best pc company I've seen. I might ask them to build a gaming pc for me. Easy, cheap, good service and fast delivery ;)

Although I have had no problems with my Asus I would rather build my own computer if I knew how because it would be much cheaper but I wanted a laptop that could perform as good as a computer so I just went with the Asus G74SX A1 because I saved up all of my money from graduating school and working and I wanted a brand new computer that runs good and I could take anywhere with me.

Hmmm, i dont think there is a 2.4 Ghz i7 plus you really should be overclocking to around 4.0 Ghz, that seems to be the most comfortable config. PLUS, why would you spend this much money when you could build one around 4x better for about £1k my pc cost me £500 and is at around 3.2 Ghz Quad with an Asus Gtx560ti @ 930 Mhz. Its a pretty hot rig.
