@fubleduck I didn't speed anything up. All I did was raise the pitch of the song. This is the version of the song as sang by Nickel Creek, it genuinely is that fast.
@yunimori OK., so this wasn't an example of what I've observed & spoofed. I know I've seen Allen Sherman songs passed off as Alvin songs, but-in actuality were sped up Allen Sherman songs. I could tell because the instros & audience reponce was in high pitch. Alvin's voice & the other 2 & the Chippettes were mixxed soundtracksw/ high pitched & w/ non-high-pitched sounds. These versions I spoofed used to be all over Youtube.
@milesthemelonator you are right. my mom was from the south and this was the song that she would sing to me every night. down there everyone know the song.
Oh god, oh god, oh god, make it stop!

@MrWallas79 Um...no one's making you listen to it?

@yunimori What if someone is making me listen to it and won't let it stop?

@MrWallas79 That's when you plug your ears, turn down the sound, or walk away. :3

"Not-so-real Alvinization. Sounds like instrumentaion's sped up too, it should only be the "Munks'" voices.

Nickel Creek forgot a stanza though :/
John he ran to the top of the hill
blew his horn both loud and shrill
the fox said "I'd better flee with my kill
for he'll soon be on my trail-o, trail-o, trail-o"
the fox said "I'd better flee with my kill

@Litterboxer529 It's funny that you say that considering it originated in the Southern states during the American Revolution. Nice try though.

@ebay13wr Actually it originated in Scotland. I have a book dated 1896 that has this in "Traditional Songs for Scots" section.
