@TiffanyTeddyTune44 It's shocking at first but once you are off it's amazing! I was scared of roller coasters before kennywood but after I went there I loved them lol
@kurizzos Actually, most roller coasters do go faster at night :) After a day of being broke-in, or warmed up. Especially wood coasters. Lower temperatures and lower humidity help a bit too, but mostly after a day of warming up all the moving parts.
This is one of like 2 or 3 rollercosters in the world that have a drop instead of an incline at the beginning. They said whoever designed this was a genius because of how it was built around the land.
Kennywood should have the running lights on the entire length of their coasters and not just on the parts that you can see from the midways, it would look so much better than it does now. Look at Hersheypark's wooden coasters like the Comet and Lightning Racer for example and you will see what I mean. ;-)

This is the fastest coaster I have ever been on.. Atleast it feels that way. That sucker is lightning fast around bends. It's an oldy but, a goody!

There was a fable that the Thunderbolt went faster at night time. Nah, you just can't see the dips.
