Meh, I prefer snes9xgx to virtual console, virtual console has lower resolution looking textures. I'm using an updated wiiOS where you can't install wads onto but I have DKC 2 for virtual console and the textures look like shit. Plus, you can customize controls, I'm currently missing my classic controller, but I've configured the controls to be more comfortable with the GC controller, SNES controls aren't exactly ergonomic on the GC's button layout.

@ACombineOfficer oh, i agree about the GC controller being a pain in the keester. that's why i use one of the actual super famicom controllers, one of the club nintendo ones.

No and no.

You COULD just run the rom off an emulator either through the HBC or the Twilight Hack or whatever newfangled run-what-you-want method there is now, but how is that any fun? If you make yourself a WAD file for it (like I did), you'd need some sort of hack method to be able to run the WAD manager to get it onto the Wii.

On 4,0 you can use bannerbonb to launch wad manager and install an old IOS35 wad and then installing the Mario all stars wad

Are the IOSes contained as WAD files? I've never installed a custom one (my Wii is still sitting on 3.4 I think - not 4 anyways), so I'm not even sure...

Anyways yeah, bannerbomb is the new one. I've never used it since I have no need for it.

for some reason ill answer it anyways; it's like any other SNES VC game - you can use a classic controller, a GC controller, or what i do - the super famicom controller that plugs in the wiimote from japan

i would think the process for making it would be the same; just you'd need a PAL wad to inject it into and a PAL copy of the game... although if you upgraded to OS 4.0, you'll need to find a new way to install it.

Yeah, it's not on there. You have to get a copy of the rom and inject it into a different VC game, and then use either the Zelda:TP hack or the Homebrew Channel to install it. So long as they can charge people for all four games separately, I don't see why they would put All-Stars on the VC officially.

it's possible to change the games inside of existing VC channels. do some googling (or look at some other videos on youtube, i'm sure somebody posted links somewhere), and you'll find the tools that do the switching and let you actually rename them and whatnot.
