Before people think that there are some idiots on the net, but more and more people are understanding that who works for who. This is Evil. Why are they doing this. Who are they working for....!!?
i'm sorry to hear that but i'm glad you're more or less ok - i tried to keep my distance from the front to avoid a pointless detention. send me a link when you post your video and thanks for commenting.
something people don't seem to understand is that canada is not the same as USA. we dont actually have "freedom of speech", please look it up, its not a right we as citizens have, im not complaining, but people dont seem to understand this.. kind of stupid to argue when you dont know what youre talking about.

then why not fight for it? i'm not interested in what some lawman tells me i do and don't have. judging by this thread, something Canadians have plenty of is 'blind sheep syndrome'. Canada is ours to shape - which is to say more people should stand up for their rights as individuals, groups and as a society as a whole.
Nevermind that you don't know what you're talking about, look at it this way: at least with us "idiotic losers" you still have the freedom to make that remark -- try that in a police state.
"the vilification of hundreds of people." really?? among those "innocent victims" were people who were throwing bricks and rocks at cops who were trying not to let the situation escalate. everyone in that area was asked to leave and warned that there would be a blockade. it wasn't a surprise attack on random people going out for lunch that day. and who was the genious that decided to take a casual stroll in a protest zone. curiosity killed the cat. it sounds like your friend is playing the
@Brittaney200 i wet through there that day and all stores and businesses were open. the only thing that wasn't 'usual' were the police who were randomly searching pedestrians and their bags - asking them for identification. Wake up Brittaney and you'll understand it's not a crime to walk the streets of the city you pay taxes in. Your trust in the police is blind. they are accountable to US and we pay their cheques. would you really hand your liberty over to someone else's discretion?
anyway, where were you during those two events? i was actually there to witness and document. I did not see Bill Blair, your trusted source of information, at either of those locations.
(PART 2) get away with criminal acts which at any other time would be punishable by various charges including jail time. i give props to the cops who showed a lot of restraint. i doubt that you would be able to do the job especially considering that you don't understand the situation in it's entirety......
@Brittaney200 Sorry, but the actions of a very small minority do not justify teh vilification of hundreds of innocent people. take a look at what happened at Queen and Spadina. It was business as usual that day when the riot police swept in and rounded up those people. I had a friend in that perimeter who was looking for a place to eat when he was detained for hours and then arrested. I don't have a hate on for the police - i just witnessed a total violation of my rights and now i'm exposing it
if you actually read the Globe and Mail or paid attention to another news source other than CTV or your amateur camera you might have come a across an interview by the chief of police. it might help your cynicism to realize that AFTER the black blocs thought it would be a good idea to act as criminals on yonge st., the cops followed them to queen's park where they saw them undress and mingle in with the peaceful protesters. clearly the cops aren't going to let some douche bag arsonists
I was in Queen's park at 5pm. I got assaulted by the police at the south end. I got chased with calvary, rubber bullets and tear gas out of the park and out to bloor. At which point we went North and eventually made our way to Young. Why are you being such a dick? Oh right, the internet hate machine, way to feed the hate.
Look to yourself for the 'hate'. try communicating in a less hostile way - leave out all the swearing, name calling and accusations and act like a rational adult. only then will you get that in return. i was there to protest (hopefully) many of the same things you were there for - so take it easy on me. i made this video to try and honestly and unbiasedly show what happened that day and to bring attention to police abuse of power - and hopefully to unite people like us.
Fukin love our police force.

@2dphotography Fundamental freedoms
2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
(a) freedom of conscience and religion;
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression ---> freedom of speech
