if u crash, it ruins ur score completely - u need to be crash-free and pass a lot of cars, plus u need to slow down a lot on turn 4

I just got 62490 on the Ms. Pacman Plug-n-Play. It was an imperfect run, so there is room to improve. Also twin galaxies does not have world records for the plug-n-play version.

A 60000 max score? Whoa. I got 80000 one time......but I'm pretty sure that was on a different version of the game....because after I won the race/completed four laps, the little song didn't play =/

Anyway, on the Ms. Pac-man controller my High-score is 58230. I wanted to try and beat that, but the game broke D'=

Apperantly, it's not the arcade version (Mame qualifies).

There were games my Father could beat me soundly in as well, back in the Atari 2600 days.

Rarely did, but I actually finished this game (Qualifying, and 4-lap race).

DEFINATELY not the arcade version. The ending isn't like that in the arcade version.

Still, nice to be the student, that becomes the teacher. :)

pshhh yeah. i have been playing for hours a day just trying to beat my current high score.. its kinda pathetic lol.. but its really bothering me that i cant beat it. i am 100 points away from the highest score and im going to laugh if i get higher than 60,000 and maybe, ill post a video. it all depends xD

As I told someone before, that score is not possible. You can't get a score ending in a 6. Either you have a different version, or you're making it up. Also, I believe that 60,000 is the highest, as the nice Beatles fan stated below.

I have the Jakks Pacific Namco Ms. Pac-Man joystick game console. It has five games on it: Ms. Pacman, Galaga, Xevious, Mappy, and Pole Position. On that version of Pole Position, I was able to score 60,050 points with a few tricks that I discovered. It took me a few months of consistent play, plus some friendly competition from my cousin, to attain that elusive 60,000 point ceiling. I did it today, actually, and my previous best had been 59,950. As for my cousin, I own all six high scores. :D

I just played this for about 3 hours and my pr is 59100. The highest you can get is 60000, and I'm on my way but I need new batteries. Turn 4 is crucial! That's the one with the sign... you need to take it way inside and shift down for the first part of it, and you can go on the inside grass a little, but never go to the outside grass. If you qualify first and take that turn perfect all four times and otherwise always stay on the road, you'll get the 60000.

I always kinda thought 60,000 would be the max score, but obviously I've never seen it. It's hard to take that turn perfectly everytime, you know, with the other stupid cars being in the way. Thanks for the comment!

yea actually it is possible the more you go onto the railing and grass the more points get deducted and also whenever you die you get a certain amount of points taken off.

That doesn't happen on the plug 'n play, you must be playing a different version that has a different scoring system. You never lose points on the plug 'n play, and you always have round numbered scores.

I'm sure it's not nearly as awesome as the version I have. Mine has a joystick that you have to twist in order to turn. Everyone knows joysticks are more fun to use than buttons. Hell, they have "joy" in the name!
