this routine sucked, and she was overscored for it, but she was underscored on vault so it evened out in the end. Romanian gymnastics forever! (I love Andreea, bars just wasn't a good event for her)

yeah i think she should get at least a 9.8 on beam. her hop on her first vault was virtually nonexistent however and i didn't see a form break, but maybe i didn't watch close enough or the [NBC] angle was bad.

@bbhouk1 It seemed that in most of her vaults when she hit the horse her legs split but they might not have during her AA vault, im not sure.

What does it mean to "muscle" something? Like muscling kips? I assume that you use some muscles :P haha

If so, how can you tell?

They mean like when you use your arms, by bending them, to physically push up into the handstand. You're supposed to use your swing and your stomach muscles to get up there. :)

You can tell because they look strained and they bend and strain their arms, in all sense it looks like a very painful kip.

well, for example you need a good swing to do a good kip.

if you don't get a swing into your kip and it's basically from a hang but you still need to do a kip, that would be muscling your kip because you have no swing and it takes a lot more effort.

I dont think bars was her best event. She had a lot of problems with missed handstands and muscled kips.

Some Romanian doctor gave her a pill and the pill contained a banned medicine or something so it's really the doctor's fault.

It wasn't an aspirin. It was pseudoephedrine, which is a stimulant. She took 2 pills instead of one and therefore it registered (due to how small she was). The level of drug in her urine was 90 nanograms per milliliter, more than three times greater than what was allowed. The doctor was expelled from the Games and suspended through 2004, as well as punished by FIG. Even the IOC admitted it was a common cold medicine and provided no "competitive advantage." But they have rules.

I don't think that taking a cough medication prescribed by a physician can be accurately described as "doping troubles." She was an amazing gymnast, and she deserved that medal.
