I don't doubt that this guy's intelligent. He seems to be a good speaker, and know about what it is he's speaking about ..but his voice is high pitched and squeaky. It almost hurts to listen to him. Unfortunately, that makes Microsoft looks a bit less professional.

Ballmer states that computers will hear and see us. Then he says we will still use keyboards. If a computer can't convert audible sounds and physical gestures then what's the point of having them?

I'm guessing you're too slow to catch on that people don't want to constantly talk to their computers. Typing can much more efficient then talking out loud regardless of where you are. Shorter to say "Scroll down to the bottom of the page" or just hit a key on the keyboard? Think buddy. Is it easier to be doing a waving motion with your hand for the 2 hours you're on the computer, or use a simple mouse? So what I said has PLENTY to do with what you said, you just didn't catch on fast enough...

Will these chaps need a bailout plan? I hear their product development pipeline is stagnant! High research costs, high advertising/marketing costs, low product sales all equals mounting debts folks.
