I think what Fedor needs more than anything is to be back home in Russia in the company of friends and family. Take a a vacation, relax and just enjoy life. He needs to miss the sport a bit, so he can get that hunger and ferocity back to compete at the level we all know he's capable of. Call it a short retirement if u will. If Randy can come back and win the HW belt at 43 after a year off, I'm almost certain 'FEDOR' can do the same if not something similar at 35.

I don't think the fight was stopped pre-maturely however, Hendo finished Fedor off with two illegal back-of-the-head shots. Watch the fight replay again, from the right angle you can clearly see it.

@chickenoncheese Like i said. Fedor Emelianenko fans; making excuses since June 26 2010. He got choked out the first fight the second he was receiving an absolute ass whopping and the last fight he went limp and made no attempt to defend himself. Quit making excuses, he lost all of them fair and square. He just aint good enough to compete at the elite end any more.

None of them have more wins than loses and whats more the wins they do have are against bums because the ufc has to throw them the occasional bum to plump up their record so they can make money from deluded fanboys like you. @Pomaori That comment I actually agree with. I'm a fan of both Hendo and Fedor. But Hendo's got way more gas in his tank, and Fedor is not his old self. He just comes out swinging for the fences with no clear cut gameplan. He's not a top ten HW now, but he has the skills to still become one if he diets and trains better. His sambo (russian bjj) skills are SICK. Either way it hurts me to see people shit on him, without realizing his great accomplishments.

He is the greatest HW of all time atm, but i suspect either valesquez or JDS will surpass him when they finish up their careers. He wouldn't cut it against any of the top ten guys in the HW div but he's not as good as he used to be. And he is a brawler. That used to work back in pride but the sports gotten so strategical nowadays you cant just swamp foward like him and wandy used too. Fighters are just getting better.

@Pomaori JDS has loads of potential. He's def one of my favorites in the HW div. If he can cut an insane winning streak and beat guys at their strengths like Fedor did, I'll definitely consider him to be one of greatest. And plus Minotauro is one of his coaches. The problem is Cain only has like 9 total fights and JDS has like 12. These guys are still green at the moment

@Pomaori he lost them, that's for sure, but that necessarily makes him that horrible as you like to shit on him. imho he could've gone more with hendo, went limp for a second. dan was in the same position a second ago with fedor beating him. it was just a good transition, 1st punch - flash knockout and then 2 shots at the back of the head. I ain't even a fan, I just assess the fight objectively. though he came in recklessly with dan.

@Humanoids I think he's always been overrated. The new generation of MMA fighters are on a whole other level to Fedor. Hendo was never in the same situation as fedor. He never went limp, he was scrambling and he took him down so you're wrong about that. Fedor made no attempt to defend himself. What do you think really would of happened if he let the fight go for another 10 seconds with hendo ontop of him past his guard and fedor out of his witts ? murder probably
