God judged the Canaanites for example; He also judged Zedikiah & the nation for idolotry
James and Paul are dealing with two different meanings of the word "justify." James uses it to mean how someone is shown to be righteous - it's seen through their deeds. Paul talks about how the unrighteous are made righteous, or justified. This has nothing to do with "who does God love". God loves everyone! It takes more than just being good, or doing good deeds. My point is that there is nothing man can do to save himself. Man is not qualified. Only by the blood of Jesus!
