I'm thinking of taking LASIK when I'm older. Maybe when I'm around my 30s. I'm only 14 right now so I don't have to really worry about it. Hopefully LASIK will improve in the future and be more reliable.

My only question is that is there ANY pain? No pain at all? Just looking at this makes my eyes dry and makes me feel sick.

Excellent Video! I don't believe any of that Mumbo Jumbo about how bad Lasik is. After all, they wouldn't be in business anymore if it was that horrid. Very eye-opening!!! video. Get it? Eye-opening? im 25 and i had 2 surgeries when i was 18, i had my right eyes crossed in... after the 2nd surgery my eyes are still crossed but its looking outside and not inside.. i wonder how much is it to get it corrected and to have 20/20.. my left eye is good... the problem is my right eye... im locatred in philadelphia and i just talked to someone in the office to get an consultation

Huh, I hoped by facing my fear of this I'd be a bit more interested in going through with it. I'm not. I'd have a terrible time to overcome the urge to move my eyes away from blades and crap like that. I'm still amazed my father did it.

I'm 14 and, from my point of view, I think it's actually nessessary that I get LASIK, even though you have to be at least 21. I can't see more than a foot away! It's horrible. I really want LASIK too.

It's a horrible experience! You feel the suction, the drops, and they tell you not to move your eye and to stare at the light, but you can't see! Oh the horror!

BUT IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT! IF YOU NEED IT, GET IT, IT'S ONLY A COULPE OF MINUTES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SUFFERING (there's no pain during surgery, only on the first 20 hours or less after the surgery, then it is allright)

You can move your eye. The laser has a tracker that locks on to your pupil. The laser pulses get put right where they belong.

There is PRK, no cutting involved. Also, there is epi-LASIK, no cutting and no flap.

0:15 the lifting of the flap. I've seen videos of that flap disintegrating. I've also heard claims that the flap can come off later in life. Apparently the flap never heals.

If the flap comes off, you'll have to heal PRK-style. The tissue grows back VERY fast. The flap can be cut off and it'll grow back in like 2-3 days.
