  • 1250 CDS can be fit onto an ipod...I'm wondering why in the name of god apple thinks a 120 gb model is necessary...lol

  • They had a 160gb version

  • Rumors lurking in the bowels of the internet suggest their releasing a 250gb model.

  • I only posted that as a joke.

I hope I didn't offend anybody if my humar was a bit off. Sorry about that, but I got to add one thing. I love all the lights in that video. I wish my bedroom could look like that, because that'd be cool!Only I want to say I love all of your videos here at You Tube.Keep up the great work and thanks for explaning that!

  • my guess is 89 591

  • Hey Al. Lots of fascinating stuff you got there. Those computers look old...A lot older than anything I've used. I love those little glass things with all the lights, and the fountain in the end was beautiful!!

  • Thanks, Shangas!

  • Does anybody eveb

pay attention to my comments? Just wondering.

  • Yea... LOL!

  • Why do you call this video Unit 619?

I don't get it! By the way, what kind of tunes do you like to listen too? Just wondering.

Nice video. It's fun to watch Uncle Alfred!

  • Tom, that is the number of the second storage unit. I listen to everything, but a lot of techno/electronica/experimental/ambient. Thanks for watching!

  • Can u plz do a vid steel battalion

  • Yes, I have to do that. One of these days. I heard it is an incredible game.

  • haha nice.. i guess 32,000 (lol)

  • Ha ha, hey Alfred -- seek therapy -- seriously, don't wait. Next stop for you is bundles of the Boca Raton daily snooze, neatly tied and in sequential order. And cats. Thousands of cats. Seek therapy.

  • LOL. OK :)

  • Hahaha...nice.

I'm guessing that when you're done...you'll have somewhere around 25,000 songs.

If you want, I'll take that JVC disk changer off your hands ;)

    Lemme know

  • Whats this F F Class thing you keep saying? hehe. Sounds like something from star trek or something. An FF Class destroyer...

  • FF means <whisper>fat fuk</whisper>

  • Shhh. LOL!

  • lol Single shot downloads sounds like a drug lol and i guess 251,000

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Heh.

  • The question was "How many when you are done...." My guess is: It is a trick question...You are NEVER done. You are to crazy about this to ever call it done. :-)

  • hmmmm... i'm gonna guess uhhhh around 27,000-29,000 songs

  • I have that much music, just threw it all on my iMac, and I also archive it to a portable hard drive. I figure as long as they don't fail at the same time, i'm safe.

  • I'll be waiting for the alphaSyntauri synthesizer video :) ...oh, and the Atari Jaguar one too (this one I remember)

oh, and the songs... maybe 34000~37500 ?

  • Ok, I guess 50,000 songs

  • I am changing my guess. I now guess 80,000 songs

  • 30,000 songs

  • 200,000 songs....or more but i'll go with 200,000

  • damn alfred your ff class old but not as old as my pop

  • whats your aim

  • oh Apple where is a 200GB iPod when you need one! :-(

  • Hahah. YES - perhaps I can help foster the development of an "FF" Class iPod! Thanks for watching!

  • Man, you keep uncovering all of these old Apple systems and wont boot a single one of them for us. tsk tsk.

    Haha

    ~VoXZ

  • Vox, oh man, I've just been so damn busy. Hang in there...

  • I hear that man, do what you gotta do. Im still tryin to get around to making a video of this old Packard Bell system I have. This things a beast.

Hope to see some video goodness from you soon.

    ~VoXZ

  • how many CD's was their

  • Hi RJ - about 1,250.

  • so much stuff, so little video.

  • LOL So much stuff + a busy schedule = little video. More to come though, I promise!

  • hey uncle al it's aj imjust sitin gon xbox at 1200 but your not on so not much to do. I'm just watchign your videos. I enjoy them you know that. Anyway your gunna finish with 38,451 songs when your done. Its not a guess, i know what it's going to be. Haha nice video ill catch you on xbox soon hopefully.

  • AJ! Thanks for dropping in and watching the vids. See you on XBL!

  • OMG Al i have not been getting updates that you had new videos!!! ill have to stop back by and watch them no time now!

  • Hi Tyler - thanks for dropping by!

  • Yea Al, I saw this awhile back! SO AWESOME, and SO MUCH FREAKIN CD's! Really Amazing artwork as well..PROPS!!

    BTW- Speaking of Investments...

  • Nash -- YOU got the 'Deal of the Century' - holy crap! Congrats on that new system. Let me know the final outcome on the G4/G5 to MacPro migration!

  • I really enjoyed this Al, I didn't believe you had ANOTHER storage place. Good stuff. A lil bit of computing and gaming history there! lol!

  • K - good to hear from you!

  • ... I'm gonna guess that there are gonna be +/- 34000 songs in your iTunes library.

  • Keep up the work. Your Movies are awesome, especially this one. You are a real Mac-Freak ^^ I think I have the Apple 512 lying here somewhere.

  • By the way, do you own/work at Lumonics, or do you just know the owner well? I got the impression that it was one of your many companies, but I guess I was wrong.

  • I'm with you, Al. I don't know why people even claim to like a band if they're just going to download one random song. I'd much rather buy the whole album of a band I love than just grab individual songs and not get the full experience of the album. And I sure as heck don't pirate music. Piracy sucks!

Do you have any Amiga machines in storage?

  • LOL. More old stuff that makes people wonder why you don't just run a computer museum. =D

The first computer I ever used was an Apple IIc, so I'm more than familiar with that machine too.

  • i say 23,000 songs

  • aw man you really gotta break out that steel batallion

  • What is a "quick whore"? A trick that can run a 5 minute mile. :)

Your 17,000 song playlist makes my 4000 look pretty meager. WOW, that's a lot of music. I don't even dare venture a guess about how much more of your music lurks in #619! What bit rate did you encode your CD's at?

The Stratosphere is waaaay cool. Very nice to look at, and from the sounds it can probably help anyone sleep soundly.

  • how do you afford all this?! dude, you're my hero

  • Al, your style of movies are simply unique! Cheers for the entertainment

  • Thank you - I am glad you are enjoying my vids!

  • Wow, Alfred, Makes me think of that saying "He who dies with the most toys wins"! I award the GREAT BIG BLUE RIBBON to you :)

  • LOL! Thank you!

  • 1250 cds in your cases averaging at 10 per cd so ill guess 12500 songs averaging i bet im close.

you did say 250 a case.

  • boot tha mac 512k please:D

  • Geez Alfred, that's a lot of music! And I only have 183 songs! I'd love to see that Alien vs Predator game... Do you think that you'd be able to break another chair and film it? :-P I like Stratosphere a lot! It's sooo cool!

  • damn, that lamp looks like an alien!

    Cool.

  • Awesome video, Alfred! I found it very entertaining. I definitely want to see you bust out Steel Battalion and make a video of it. =D Good stuff! 5 stars and a favorite from me. I really enjoyed all the geeky goodness!

  • Wow Al...damn you have alot of stuff!!

I remember the Jaguar and the aliens vs Predator ..with the exception of that game...the Jaguar kinda blew...i remeber the face hugger as well..bloody pests..

Anyway i think your CD collection can go up to...25000 songs..just a guess..

  • haha AWESOME VIDEO!

  • Wow, your CD collection is incredible! The greatest number of CDs I've owned at once is about 24 (in the mid '90s). Now I have an iPod Nano and get all my music off of the iTunes Store! I only have 607 songs!

  • I'll go with 125,000

  • great stuff as usual Al. and if you go to my profile you can see the videos of my final presentation and game. I wonder how many songs you will have ... that is certainly a heck of collection

  • You're such a pack rat Alfred!

  • Wow... your collection of CD's looks like my collection of 4 cases of cassette tapes. I belonged to Columbia House a long time ago and if you didn't send in the slip, sure enough they would mail you a tape.

    great video! :)

  • I once had to feed in about 300 disks into my father's iTunes library. I can't imagine how redundant it would be for you to keep reloading your CD's into that FF Class Mac Mini.

  • Well.... 17000 songs now... with the other CD's... I'd say about 22-24K songs. Nice video Al. You really love those fish, but they are pretty cool anyway.. Peace

  • Yes, I do enjoy 'the pioneers' -- they are great entertainment at the office. Thanks for watching!

  • Holy shit how much for the apple 2. No joke man if you want to sell it and its at the right price.

  • Hi Will - thank you for the offer, and I will keep you in mind should I put some of those items up for sale!

  • I figure it will come to 15000 songs 45000-52500 minutes of music

  • Hey B - revise that guess, as I am alread at 17,000 and have a few hundred more CD's to put in!

  • I'm going to guess a unusually strange number(i.e. one that no one else has said)....24,680 songs. Oh yeah, btw, on average, how much do those Lumonics pieces go for? They are freakin' awesome!

  • Hi - you can see more of the Lumonics pieces at dub dub dub daht lumonics daht nett (if I spell it normal, they filter it) - the pieces I show range in price from $500 to $5,000. These are custom, hand built signature items -- very very cool stuf, and I am glad I can share it all with my suscribers.

  • dude thecreativeone has 400+ ff games in his closets.

also wheres my ps3 video? its been 3 months get it out from under your coat rack.

  • I KNEW you were going to ask for that PS3 video... Soon....

  • 19 000 songs 44 days

  • OK J, we'll see :)

  • Fat mac

  • Yes, the Mac 512 aka "Fat Mac" Good call on that one!

  • That video is amazing the lights are amazingly cool! The Mac, Oh the Mac love to see some of them working. When I was 10 mMy Dad had the Mac Classic with the 512 (or whatever) hard drive. It came with a cool game where you was in castle and jump over stuff and i think fight people if I remember rightly . The Apple interface was amazing at the time and I would say still very useable today on the Mac Classic. The only downside is that you can not connect them to a network

  • Hey Tobster! Was that game perhaps "Castlevania" where the guy would say "Whoa.. Whoa.. Whoa.." Sounds like that game! Glad you liked the vid -- yes, I'll be showing those machines working -- part of the 2007 video lineup!

  • ill have a guess of how many songs do you have 37,000 songs altogether

  • Hey RJ - I don't think that much -- I have about another 200 CD's to go -- you can always put in another guess though! Thanks for watching -- great job on your Tribute to Apple video as well!

  • lol wow you have a Atari Jaguar & a mac with a hyperdive wow you got some cool s**t

  • Thanks -- I know that the Hyperdrive doesn't work -- oh well, but the Atari Jaguar should be just fine -- I will be digging that out soon.

And I want to see that Alien vs. Pred. I can't even believe they had that back then!

    And nice Hellraiser poster!

  • My buddy Damian! Thanks for dropping in. OK, you asked for it -- I WILL uncover that Atari Jaguar in the next few weeks and we'll film it -- probably after my Las Vegas trip in two. Thanks, that Hellraiser poster is a favorite of mine! TTYL.

  • What!!.. no ants?? lol... Stratosphere is pretty cool. And the portable II.. amazing! does it still work?

    ROCK!!!

  • Correct -- NO ANT PISS in this storage facility! I think that the Apple IIc does indeed work - I have to find the power supply for the damn thing. Glad you liked Stratosphere. What an amazing art piece it is.

  • In regards to you iTunes, I say since you still buy music, the sky is the limit.

  • Aaah, good point. I just purchased the new Nine Inch Nails CD. I haven't even listened to it yet -- I have 17,000 tones to hear first!
