i thought its was kool but you should add a little trail in the water right befor it hits and just make the impact splash the end but make it bigger.but leave the original i still like it.
Thanks, Viz. You're probably right about the water. I used a particle effect for that probably wasn't really intended for that use. Probably could have done more, but again, was taking too long.:) I wanted to accentuate the handheld look--especially since it was a still photo.:) I varied the shake, making it more pronounced later, thinking the nervous cameraman would be more shaky upon the impact.
The basic handheld shake is good. There is one snap zoom that is too sharp. A friend gave me a great suggestion for digital handheld. Stick a bright dot on a black card and videotape it with random , subtle handheld motion. Motion track the dot and aply to your virtial camera.
Maybe I was overthinking it--I thought there should be one sharp jerk upon impact, a sort of involutary jerk indicating that the shooter was startled.:) Nice tip about motion-tracking the dot. If I ever get a camera I might try it.:)

Nice - Meteor look good. Water impacts might be a bit too bulky and the Cam shake needs to be smoothed a tad But very cool. Good work
