  • @boushey22 Hey not trying to start anything at all. But i feel its very possible to run in the 11s for $1300 in a dsm. First of all completley stripped interior. I have seen on dsm tuners a stock 14b turbo car running 11.50s. So a good 11 second formula would be. 255 fuel pump 650cc injectors open exhaust 2g mani 14b turbo ported and wide open Super stripped interior. Arp heads studs 4 layer head gasket Good sticky tires. Cams from Delta ,Hks replica reground 272/272 2600 clucth

    I have to disagree. DSM's when done right can be fast as hell and to be quite honest it takes close to nothing. A simple evo3 16g car with supporting mods go 11's with proper tuning. Turbo, injectors, fuel pump, Supra side mount intercooler, clutch, dsmlink...done. We have a local guy on a evo16g 1st gen talon awd running consistant 11.1's on E85 here. This guy can drive the hell out of the car but it goes to show you it can be done. That is only one example of many.

I understand if you put time and money into anything you can make it fast just saying I had a TSI and it was not what I expected...

  • @XxGUATExX en evo3 16g is the best, 550 or 650 injectors and a fmic and your good to go, and your gunna need an safc to tune down those injectors. Itl bolt directly to the manifold,

  • @haratizadeh If your really gonna ask that question, I'll have to answer that for you. DSM's are known for third gear to pull the hardest. So...on the freeway, I don't think a launch is quite possible :)

    like minded as such but! the turbo 2gs have a 7 bolt 4g63 same exact engine as the 1g 7 bolt so in reality the 2g's are only dsm if turbo otherwise there just another shitty dodge on the road

  • you are completely wrong. the 7bolt in the 1g's were different from the 2gs, you can search it yourself and also dsm was built to 95 and 96 mitsu bought them of as they're own units.

    the only difference between the 1g and 2g 7 bolts was the size of the turbo other than that they were exactly the same engine otherwise why would the 6 bolt engine bolt right in with a simple harness adaptor? and all thats for is the different coil pack shape its square instead of round....

  • @diaryofthedead no my fellow mitsubishi friend. yes the turbo were different, heads on the 1g 7bolts are also different. so was the cranks and rods. that 7 bolt on the 1g are the same design as the jdm evo3. but 2g 4g63 have a different head as well as internals. but identical just not the same as the 1g.

  • how long have you had that turbo? any problems? i need to replace mine and not sure what to get. blew the shit out of my gasket, ported the head, was putting it back together and saw a hairline crack inside the turbo. now only builds about 8psi.

  • you CAN buy a turbo from ebay but checkout if its from a store DO NOT BUY IT from a rando person on ebay ,my gst has a t3/t4 and its spollin at 18psi its been in there fro 4 months now NO PROBLEMS and installed myself but do remember to use mobil1 and royal purple and youll b fine

  • its all about how the turbo comes.... some come with oil restricters some dont the ones that dont come with one BUY A OIL RESTRICTER so the turbo oil seals wont blow

  • It depends freddy, I buy performance parts ALL the time from ebay, just have to be smart about it. If it's an independent seller, make sure and check the brand on the part, and then once you research, check the seller's feedback. Doesnt necessarily have to be from a "store", if anything I've gotten cheaper deals simply because it was an independent seller :)

  • Talon has a 6bolt with stock pistons/rods. ARP mainstuds,ARP headstuds,ARP rodbolts, ACL main and rod bearings, balance shafts removed, MLS 4 layer headgasket, 3g lifters, and BC 272 cams

  • Na, the camera car is the car with the 50 trim. My car (Red Talon) was the 16g'd car.

    Needless to say the 16g was ripped out of my car a couple days after this race and I threw a Turbonetics t3/t4 60 trim setup in with tubular exhaust manifold and o2 housing, Tial 38mm wastegate, etc. There will be a rematch video coming soon. :)
