I bumped into these videos today and I am just loving the SL but getting a lil frustrated at the lack of affection between the two. They like each other, have a sexual relationship going and its like we have to imagine everything in our minds.....

I had no idea that a country as seductive and alluring as Brazil would be so conservative to something as natural as two people in love kissing.

Seriously, can they at least hold hands.....love the story but getting a lil annoyed now.

@dthompson1313 that is because the story is on a soap opera, on the most important TVchannel on the busiest time 9pm. Still everybody has a cliche image of Brazil but we are a very conservative society, full of paternalism and religiosity. Violence against gays is commom even in major cities like Sao Paulo. We are keep fighting for our rights but things dont happen overnight. It is good that we see these stories displayed on the mainstream channel, even if it lets a lot for our imagination.

Thanks for posting! I love this, but I never understand..how can a show have a story line preaching how gay people should come out and accept themselves, if that show is not even willing to show one kiss? Like a lot of people I'm surprised at the attitudes in Brazil.. :/

Another good episode. Very impressive in unexpected ways. I am glad I've discovered "Eduardo & Hugo". Yes, I am frustrated that we have hardly seen them touch. I was amazed to read that a kiss between two men seems to be impossible - forbidden - on Brazilian television. Argentinian television gave us Manuel & Lalo - amazingly hot love scenes. It's interesting to learn that Brazil is very different from Argentina. But the two actors here have other ways of letting us see their love...

@remat2423 don't get that excited dude, the network that broadcasts this soap decided to kill of the non-ridiculously stereotyped gay men because the brazilian society is allegedly not prepare to see a gay kiss. Which is a huge hypocrisy, considering that all the straight couples are so promiscuously displayed. Não acredito que ela seja hipócrita, acredito sim, no medo real que ela tenha das coisas que ela disse para o Eduardo. Toda a mãe quer proteger o filho, mesmo sabendo não ser possível. Eu espero que ela dê a volta por cima. Gostei da posição dele e o que ele disse sobre o preconceito na rua se tirar de letra, é a pura verdade. Dentro de casa é que dói.

Acho que não é hipocrisia mas preconceito velado mesmo, até mesmo os gays são preconceituosos. As coisas são bem diferentes quando acontecem dentro da nossa casa. Eu acredito, que a atitude dela seja normal, ela como mãe sabe que o filho vai sofrer... cada pessoas manifestam suas emoções de forma diferente, ela está com raiva, medo, insegura. No fim ela acaba aceitando!

P.S.: "ouvi dizer" que a rede globo decidiu cortar algumas cenas e não vão mais exibir a história dos dois...
