  • i have been practicing my fadeaway lot and i just got pretty good at it. also i recently jammed my pinky finger and my other fingers were burned. so now i have the gauze around my fingers like kobe and im fading away like him too lol.

  • isnt he #1 for nba fadeaways

  • I love his kick out on his fadeaways.

  • mj fade away is better

  • on da first pic, Kobe look like da tall guy Reggie from Bad Boys 2 lol

  • That's because Dirk has a height advantage. Any shorter, his fadeaways can easily be blocked.

  • @Wed85 I wouldn't. Kobes fadeaway is blockable. dirks isn't.

  • Thumbs up if you are here because LOCKOUT!

  • kobes fadeaway is the best shot in basketball today. i would put it slightly over dirks fadeaway which is unstoppable as well.

  • i find it funny when people think MJ invented the fadeaway jumper.

  • If it's not better than MJ's, it's just as good. I'm not trying to incite an argument, it's just my eyeball test. To each his own.

  • Cool vid, cool song, and I especially like how you did the beginning there, cool touch.

  • at 1:47, did hje cross his own team mate lol

  • MJ may be the best player ever but you got to admit Kobe Bryant's fadeaway shot just plain looks better.

  • I Say that the fade away and the skyhook are the most unstoppable moves in Basketball. Too bad players don't use the skyhook anymore.

  • @nemesis3222 dwight howard does :') sometimes

  • Kobe has a nice fade away, but it's not as smooth and effortless as that of MJ. Sometimes, it looks like he's "forcing" his fade away in certain situation, whereas, MJ's fade away always looked naturally regardless of where he is on the court.

  • sorry, did not see any fadeaway

  • I Do It At My BasketBall Team !!!

  • what song???

  • @nickolit red hot chili peppers- cant stop

  • nigga hell yeah

  • best splasher of all time

  • I like how the first three fadeaways shows a wide open teammate callin for the ball

  • dirk nowitzki's step back is even better

  • @mrsoftbody lol dude who cares atleast its a fade away

  • I like the part when the myth of Kobe Bryant faded away.

  • he may not be jordan, but he shoots like him

  • @TheBoombox200 he's better then jordan...

jordans career high in points, 68pts

kobes career high in points, 81pts

  • @95kjb that right there shows how well you know the game of basketball.

  • @KrGaa is that sarcasm or a compliment,(i cant realy read sarcasm through text)

  • @95kjb Sarcasm. I respect your opinion however. Good day!

  • @95kjb

KrGaa was way too nice to you. You're a fucking idiot who knows nothing about basketball. 81pts>68pts HURR DURR.

81 pts against a pathetic raptors team that gave up halfway into the season. 69 points against a TOUGH defensive Cavs team. 63 pts against the best defensive team of all time (Bird's Celtics), hence why Bird called Jordan God disguised.

  • @jungshin87 how the fuck is jordan god disguised? if wilt the stilt averaged 50.4ppg and 25.3rpg and in '68 he lead the leagye in assist

  • @95kjb who did wilt play against? anyone notable? no

  • @rocketballa4life he averaged those stats, he played multiple ppl dumbass

  • @95kjb no like what good players did wilt play against? reading comprehension buddy

  • what song?

  • best splasher ever

  • Basically those defenders know the timing that Kobe will create a fade away jumper, they defend Kobe well. But Kobe was able to make those uncomfortable shots. At this point he is similar with Larry Bird...but Bird was the better shooter.

  • this is why kobe is d closest player comparable to mj.. its just d 2 of em could make this jumpers....

  • The difficulty of this shot with a player in your face while jumping away from the basket at an angle. Insane.

  • this is the reason he's so good, he masterd a shot and footwork that's unguardable

  • all you can do is hope that it doesnt go in :/

  • sometimes Kobe fade like crazy!

  • is there anybody else in the league who can hit a jumper like this???

  • lol...debating on who's fadeaway king...ask kobe where did he learn that move....mj called it the "windshield wipe"

  • this dude's "J" is retarded good!

  • best mix of kobe ever made.

  • do anybody knoe the name of this song before they took it off

  • This is why we scream kobe when we shoot and not lebron

  • king of fade aways :D

  • i wish this vid could last forever

  • dude. i dont wanna hear it from anyone. this is the most skilled baller of all time. not close.

  • @mambaKB24mvp jordan? yes

  • Man I used to like MJ shooting form and fadeaway, but now when I look back at MJ games it looks weird. Personally I think Kobe shooting form looking nicer and smoother.

  • @evolutionsti1 ur absolutely correct. Kobe's fade is sexier

  • Kobe is nothing but the 2nd rate trying hard copycat!!!

  • @batangascoffee23 its not copying if he does it better...

  • @xKillTheMachines noone does it better than mj. your on fucking crack if you think kobe shoots better fades

  • @xKillTheMachines

You're an idiot if you think Kobe has better fadeaways than MJ did, one thing is for sure Kobe is not as good as creating space with the fade and he does not create space as well because he is not as strong backing up as MJ was nor did he have the elevation, and MJ was able to feel the defense so he knew which way to spin

but Kobe is getting better though

  • @Hawkhunter07 LOL first of all Jordan is not stronger than Kobe, secondly Kobe can jump every bit as high as Jordan could. AND THIRDLY Kobe extends his fadeaway all the way out to the three point line.. And buddy, Jordan has NO three at all :)

  • @KateBushMyLove

hahahahahahahha Jordan not stronger than Kobe?

Phil said Jordan is alot stronger and has a bigger body than Kobe, numerous other players have said Jordan is the strongest guard, Magic Johnson said Jordan had the strength of a center, just ask Horry and how he compared Jordan's strength with Lebron

second of all, Jordan had a 48 inch vertical, Kobe is no where near that

and Buddy, Jordan is only less than Kobe in 3pt% by around 1%, he beats him in every category

  • @Hawkhunter07 Check who has more three point makes out of Kobe and Jordan, Jordan doesn't have half the makes, and by the way CLEARLY Jordan played in a time where double teams were considered illegal defense.. And man everybody knows Jordan's legendary "space creating ability" was overlooked (lack of a better word for scammed by the refs) and everytime Jordan pushed his defender away with a forearm of whatever he used for that particular time, he ended up scoring everytime...

  • @KateBushMyLove Jordan played in a time where punching in the face was allowed (exaggeration intended).

  • @Hawkhunter07 And at any rate EVERYONE knows that if Kobe played in Jordans time he wouldn't done the same exact things Jordan did

  • @KateBushMyLove

Let's not forget a 3point fadeaway is a badshot for any player to take, that explains why Kobe has a low fg%, because he is not good enough at creating space at Jordan for high percentage shots

Btw it was really funny the way you said Jordan is not stronger than Kobe or Kobe jumps as higher than him

because everyone including Kobe fanboys accepts that Jordan is stronger and jumps higher, u clearly don't know anything hahahaha funny guy

  • @KateBushMyLove

Just to give you an example of Jordan's strength, he was backing down 6'10 Kenyon Martin as a wizard, not just backing down, but Kenyon was LITERALLY sliding backwards

you got proven wrong, respond back when you have another credible coach/player saying Kobe is stronger than Jordan, or if you have any proof that Kobe had a vertical of 48 inch

I dare you to find a proof of that

  • I just watched a collection of Jordan fadeaways and now I have to say I am more impressed with Kobes. His fades all all way longer range than Jordan's.

  • @Anymajordude5

The only Michael Jordan fadeaway mix weren't even MJ's best fadeaways, if you want to see his best ones you have to watch his casual scoring games in the 96-98 seasons

Your logic is wrong also, the whole purpose of the fadeaway is to create space between you and the defender, fundamentally, it is about creating the highest percentage shot possible, fading away a longer range just makes the shot tougher, it's all 2 pointers in the end, MJ shot 50% with it

  • @Hawkhunter07 Well I am more impressed when someone makes a tougher shot. It may not have as high a percentage, but it still impresses me.

  • @Anymajordude5

I understand that is normal, anyone that can make tough shots is pretty impressive, and I do think Kobe has a nice fadeaway too, but thats what the young kids today don't know, they automatically think tougher shot maker = better player, which is entirely false, and MJ was a master of the game and made the game simple for him

MJ's fadeaway was so consistent that it was almost automatic everytime he posted someone up and the defender would get shook so bad

  • i don't see how he can shoot a fade away 3 with someone right in his face.

  • i liked the part where he did the fadeaway.

  • @nomercyboy1994 I can shoot better than kobe

  • @DrmrGuy1979 Im Not Trying To Argue Dat Kobe Is A Betta Player Than MJ but Anybody That Watched Jordan Play and Kobe would Tell U Dat Kobe is a Betta Shooter...MJ had betta Percentage Cuz Most of His Shots Were Midrange and He Drove In More Than Kobe..Kinda Like D-Wade but waaay betta moves lool

  • @Curtis7414 really good point

  • Laker band wagon fan. Jordan was the best, kobe is just a small replica.

  • @IXIWineIXI Wrong

  • @DrmrGuy1979 Yea he is da Greatest to be exact...nd Nobody knows MJ nd Kobe More than Phil Jackson himself cuz he seen both at their best nd their worst

  • @DrmrGuy1979 When U Talk About Witch One Is More Clutch I Say Its A Toss Up Between Them 2...But Ur Talking Bout Who Is A Better Shooter Kobe Is Better Shooter Than Jorda But MJ is More Athleticn Even Phil Jackson Once Said That

  • @DrmrGuy1979 Yea But Jordan Also has a betta Field Goal Percentage Reggie Miller does dat mean he a betta shooter??

D-Wade nd LeBron Both Have betta Percentage than Ray Allen And Kobe does dat mean They are betta shooters?? No

  • chun814 I m an awesome 5'9 black dude and I am able to dunk over people. Anyone can easily do it, just follow the right training course. I followed the 1 from | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | but any training program is good if they work that is... lol

    Kobe Bryant Fade Away

  • funny how most of kobe moves are compared to MJ. MJ used the fadeaway move, perfected it, and won wit it. Without Mj Kobe's fadeaway woulfd not be the way it is now. Everyone learns off the great MJ

  • People Just Dont Make Sense When they say Kobe copied da fadeaway from MJ...C'Moooon Maaaaan Jst cuz Jordan did it dnt meant Kobe Can't use it....plus Kobe is much better Shooter than Jordan but MJ is slightly a better player

  • how can you be a coptcat of a player tha makes no sence not 1 player in the nba has the same shooting form a fade is a fade its just a lean back shot or a jumping back shot a dribble is a dribble that mean everyone in the nba is the same and everyone who tackles in football copied the guy that did it 1st think before you right crap all ways looking for a away to put down a player thats going to be the best at the end their career i cant wait to hear who lebron copys or wade or d-rose

  • I'd say Kobe has done more with less, meaning he is not the fastest, does not have the best hang time and cannot jump the highest but still has some of the greatest scoring performances ever. Kobes dedication is what has made him one of the best players of all time and will be in the discussion of who was/is the greatest.

  • @itshiho can't say it any better, he will be in discussion without a doubt :)

  • People who call Kobe a copycat? Hey if it was that easy every body would be doing it. Like being in shape. Kobe's fadeaway is good but Jordan consistently go more space on his from the defender. He had a way of moving his body more to confuse the defender. Also Jordan fades farther back then Kobe and also Jordan seems to have a better feel when to do the pivot move to loose the defender. Another thing is Jordan was more athletic than Kobe which could explain this as well. Can jun higher, etc.

  • kobe jumpshot>mj jumpshot

  • the fadeaway of kobe is so different than MJ it never come close, kobes fade away is a side way fadeaway while mj make a full 180 turn to face the basket and one thing that we should remember most of shoot in this video are pull up jumpers damn!! i thinke kobe does not have his own moves!! HIS FADEAWAYS ARE NOT THAT not good to me the ball is that higher than MJ.... you can copy the moves but never will be the creator

  • Kobe's fadeaway looks a lot like Jodan's fadeaway. But Kobe could hit his fadeaway from a much further range.

  • Maybe, but Jordan's mid range fadeaway was more effective, harder to guard, and was hit with more consistency than Kobe's mid range fade.

  • wannabe mj

  • MJ's fadeaway is so much more beautiful than Kobe's. Kobe looks like he just throws it up without much balance. Jordan uses the fade away in the right position at the right time. Kobe driblles and fakes and moves and throws it up. Not hating on Kobe, just saying that MJ's was so much better

  • lol exactly kobe can make it without balance and to say it isent beautiful is kinda of ridiculus

  • kobe and mj's fade aways are somewhat similar but of u luk at it in slomo they are somewhat different.. i say mj's fade away is more fundamentally sound than that of kobe's. when mj turns before the shot u can see that the ball is higher than that of kobe's,making it hard for the defender to reach it.. kobe does it differntly,he always does the dream shake making it hard for the defender to strip it of his hands.. but 2 points still, same result.. they have similar release tho..

  • i havnt seen anyone get a proper block on ANY of Kobe's Shots....no one can get a hand on that ball when hes got it

  • Alot of people may disagree but Kobe looks just like Jordan to me on the fade aways.

  • KOBE has mastered the fade away jump shot!! im not a kobe fan (in fact i hate kobe) but i admit that HE HAS PERFECTED THE ART OF FADEAWAY NO ONE COULD POSSIBLY BE BETTER THAN HIM (in fade aways)

  • MJ and KB fadeaway are different... kobe's fadeaway is more fancier because of his foot work.... but MJ's fadeaway is simple but killer..

  • Sorry, but they're exactly the same. Don't believe me? In one of the games they showed both MJ and Kobe's fadeways side by side. There was NO difference. Probably because Kobe studied all that tape, and learned how to kopy it (The 'K' was intended).

  • @mjordanisnumber1 U spelled copy wrong u idiot

  • @st3nkobe Get hooked on phonics kid, because I put in Parenthesis, those are these things ((( ))), that the K was intended . So shut the fuck up.

  • @mjordanisnumber1 It was a joke - . -

But u still can't spell bitch

  • fuck youtube

  • The red hot chili peppers song that was attached to this video went PERFECT with it. To bad its gone smh

  • I like it when Kobe does that dream shake then pumps, then release.....BANG!

  • Fish=Owned at 0:38

I love those purple hose he's got. Those things are nice.

  • 6-8 hours of working hard on his game EVERYday of his life. thats what this is

  • MJ clone

  • now that's a signature shot if i ever saw one

  • mj is fade away king, kobe comes in second, and if the next person takes shooting practice seriously, then maybe lebron. MAYBE

  • im sorry lebron... no way.

but i would say mj is the king of fadeaways but kobe took what mj did and improved.

    mj invented

  • what are u talken bout? lebron, what? furthermore, kobe tried to improve mj's fade away, but he isn't nearly as good. and lebron is in the top 10.

    1.mj

    2/3/4. bird, magic, wilt

    5/6/7. Kobe, Kareem, big o

    8. lebron

    9. shaq

    10. who knows....

  • MJ had the reverse fade down and did it MORE. Right fade ok, but left? Lebron did a reverse fade in that magic game, in 1 sec..

  • too bad about the music... video was great with it.

  • wheres da music

  • Boo @ youtube they took the music out.

  • its not youtube its pussy ass warner music group they are takin out the music to all vids

  • wtf.. the music made this video good

  • cool

  • ironlemmy ur a retard kobes vert is 38 and jordans was 42 so get ur facts straight u dumb cunt and jordan farmars vert is a 42 also so go take a nap DUMBASS

  • are you saying that higher verts make a better player.

kobe can do more than jordan can with 10 less inches

  • whats your point? kobes shot is still wet

  • FADEAWAY KING

  • @karma187x3 yeah, Michael Jordan was fadeaway king.

  • @karma187x3 nope Jordan is fade away king he's second =D

  • @lightsw0rd school them dogg

  • his footwork is AMAZING

  • to add to that his shot is AMAZING

to add to that his ability to shoot over people is AMAZING

  • no one can block that fadeaway face to face.

  • Tracy Mcgrady blocked him face to face!

  • @aznlilhero tracy macgrady did

  • @michaelyiwei link me :O

  • kobe has basically mastered the fadeaway and footwork to the highest level possible

  • na i think kobe has a better fadeawway shot then mj

  • good music i always here the samething from other videos

  • kobe often makes some very difficult baseline fadeaways

  • The baseline turnaround fadeaway is his signature shot.

  • yeah,i agree

  • excuse me anybody who can tell me who sang this song?I will appreciate that!

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop

  • nice vid man

  • i can't seem to stop watching this video. just brilliant.

  • Kobe iz good ,But MJ will always be better

  • the amazing thing is. more than half of these fadeaways were nuthin but net. THE BEST PLAYER EVER. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!!!!!

  • mj best ever, kobe is in top 10

  • kobe is number 1 tied with mj

  • look at the last clip, and you'll see how bad kobe's teammates were, they don't even know how to set screens.

  • 1:40 was so sick

  • no one better

  • good, but not as good as MJ! kobe never had as much vert as jordan did on his jumps

    plain and simple

  • r u retarded?

  • lol ur the stupid one having hops doesnt mean ur gonna be the better basketball player dumbass

  • ,kobe az zabardzo chcial zostac Mj'em...opisac;/ pozdro dla fanow nba,w szczegolnosci jordanowskich bykow, szkoda ze juz nie bedzie last dance;)cheers boys

  • the most smoothest fadeaway in the NBA belongs to this guy.

  • i have a question where do people get all these clips from?

  • its also clear on all of these...DEFENSE IS BETTER!!! Period

    OMG 0:56

  • 1:03 better than any Jordan Fadeaway ever!

  • lol no

  • LMFAO u obviously don't know any basketball

  • If you watch closely, you'll find out that MJ's body is almost static in the air whereas kobe's body kinda spins from one side to the other. I think that's the part that determined the difference between their shot percentage (well, other than distance).

For MJ a fadeaway's almost like shooting a freethrow, only inclined at a higher angle.

love the song=D it's Can't Stop by Red Hot Chili Peppers

  • i think u r right

  • jimmy chuang fckin chinese, melamine boy,mj's fade away is better than kobe lmao

  • he shoots them from a little further out....mj backs in or pulls a few moves so he gets closer..what's the point of a fadeway if you're gonna shoot it from that far out..it's just for looks...that's kobe's problems...everything is done for looks...

  • u dont know anything about basketball. if he doesnt fade away then he's not going to get a good look or he might even get blocked. the guys who are defending him are actually playing good defense so the only way he could get a shot off is a fade away.
