Your logic is wrong also, the whole purpose of the fadeaway is to create space between you and the defender, fundamentally, it is about creating the highest percentage shot possible, fading away a longer range just makes the shot tougher, it's all 2 pointers in the end, MJ shot 50% with it

I'd say Kobe has done more with less, meaning he is not the fastest, does not have the best hang time and cannot jump the highest but still has some of the greatest scoring performances ever. Kobes dedication is what has made him one of the best players of all time and will be in the discussion of who was/is the greatest.

If you watch closely, you'll find out that MJ's body is almost static in the air whereas kobe's body kinda spins from one side to the other. I think that's the part that determined the difference between their shot percentage (well, other than distance).

For MJ a fadeaway's almost like shooting a freethrow, only inclined at a higher angle.
