  • the music made me take out my vast Porn collection ..in VHS.

  • Solid instruction from Agassi on how he strikes the ball.

  • I would have liked to see Federer play with Andre when he was still young

  • Anyone know what the music is called at all? Or was it made just for this video?

  • A must see for every Agassi fans

  • fffffuuuuuu I want those pink compression shorts

  • 00:20 total miss hit, lol

  • Andre "the mullet" Agassi!

  • "Yeah It's great music..."

    loooooooooooool

  • pink=bad ass

  • poor andre. He woudlve been better if he lived at a differnt time. Dealing with Pete Sampras and Roger Federer...

  • @Tastyichigo he didnt have to deal with federer. by the time he retired federer wasnt even number 1 and he was just showing up

  • @MaxFlared

Are you kidding me? Federer wasn't #1 when Agassi was around? Federer became the best in the game towards the end of 2003, then started his huge dominating run of world #1 in 2004. At the end of 2005, after two solid years of being number one, Federer played Agassi in the finals of the US Open.

  • lol he was saying its important to be consistent, and most his shots went out when he was doing the location drill

  • ppl do more wrist snapping these days, its more athleticism and imrpov now in tennis

  • Rock & Roll Tennis!

  • I don't understand what the problem is, I grew out my hair, I wore pink shorts, I bought an Agassi racquet and I'm still a 1.5 player.

  • That forehand @ 4:18 is a hammer. Wow.

  • Yeah, because doing drugs will make you a better tennis player, please. These were not steroids. In any case he played WORSE during that time.

  • Well the drugs gave him the unfair advantage so he was cheating which is a disgrace to his fellow players and tennis.

  • Agassi you disgraced yourself with the drugs you took, I'm sure Nick must have a very low opinion of you now, Sampras never needed this to win!

  • @computermaster he took the drogs when he was in 1997 when he wa down and 140 at the ATP....never took the drugs to win...if u dont know what u talking about then shut up

  • the hair! the music! the clothes!

  • I WANT THAT HAIR!

  • There are not enough saxophone solos in todays music. Also more spandex pants for men.

  • That shirt was cool, not so the pink cycling shorts though. Really loved the Nike Air Challenge Court when it came out in 1990 but I couldn't afford them when I was a kid back then.

Oh and Nick looks a bit creepy in that video.

  • "And my friend, Andre Agassi."

    Yeah, sure.

  • Nick the Dick.

  • @jsgg I'm guessing he did something bad to you?

Probably not, so shut it please.

    Thank you.

  • @GoldenDespairX Agassi (and other kids in the Academy) referred to Nick as 'Nick the Dick' during Agassi's early days which you can read about in Agassi's book. That was the reference.

  • nick sounds like a nutcase in this, haha

  • My girlfriend has old posters of Agassi with the long hair and pink cycling shorts. I had posters of Stefi Graf as well :)

Thanks for posting, this brings back a lot of memories.

Regards to modern tennis, it's not the technique that changes much, its the technology that has changed considerably over the years

  • nice wig

  • Modern Tennis, Agassi's game would survive very well in the top 10 in my opinion

  • "Modern Tennis" well, one thing people sort of mis understand.. Modern Tennis, like Nadal Style has been there for long time. Moya, Corretja, all play like Nadal.. in fact Nadal Idolized Moya when he was little.. just only problem with "Modern Tennis" is you need crazy racket head speed. Today most guys hit the ball with Palm out.. you see Andre doesn't do that.. he finish the racket over the shoulder.

Well, guy can hit as hard as he is and clear the net twice higher.. you know who win but hard

  • this is nice, but you must also learn modern tennis techniques in order to succeed in todays game

  • @SupremeTennis

Its the same result from a different language. The main reason there has been a change in result is not some super duper new system, but an adaptation to modern technology. I can rip a ball better now that I did 20 years ago, why, the strings. My technique hasnt changes an iota, and I got complimented on it and how I teach by Oscar Wenger. The difference is the language, you cant argue with physics

  • @SupremeTennis

You can make it simpler to understand and not overly complicate it. Even Oscar agreed many of the strokes today are similar to thoes 30 years or more ago. The footwork is even the same, what has changes is the weight and speed of the ball and the strings, which allow you to play with more head speed and rotation.

  • back when andre agassi had hair....... XD

  • great production values! :)

  • haha i love how agassi hated bollettieri when he was a teen.

  • The most difficult part about Agassi's training was to maintain the mullet.

  • Awesome hair and pink shorts, even though I'm a guy, I must say Agassi was extremely good looking back then.

  • goodness gracious! i remeber watching this 20 years ago! thanks for the memories!

  • image is everything!!

  • It because of places like this American tennis is insignificant . Unknowledgeable parents listening to other unknowledgeable people who convince them to send their kids to places like this where all this talent gets thrown into a big funnel where after beating each other for 6 hrs a day they lose what made them special from the beginning. Imagine if all states in the US were countries. In those regions they would provide answers in their borders and imagine how many more players we would have.

  • whats up with pink!

  • this is one, fucking insane saxophone

  • gotta love the 90s saxophone intro

  • Thats not pink Agassi's wearing! It's "HOT LAVA"!! says so in his autobiography

  • That guy nick talks like the old guy in the show kings of queens

  • rolf85: you got that one right..

  • haha freakin 90's

  • He come to Puerto Rico!!! May 22, 2010

  • wtf is up with his pants?!?! xD

  • The only thing I dont miss about that late 80's early 90's era is the Neon colors, ouch hard on the eyes.

  • Nick had something special. Too bad he threw it away.

  • Nice hair weave

  • w00w this is great i cnt wait to train this monday!

  • Best shoes ever

  • everyone's tennis looks hard work compared to federer :)

  • @rolf85 not mcenroe or edberg

  • @TrippyCow

are you sure. Looks more like 215

  • wow so there is such a thing called mini tennis. I thought I just made the name up!

  • I have the DVD of it!!

  • @keijimuto

how old is this? Looks pretty old from the quality.

  • Look at Andre's racket and outfit and take a guess.

This must've been around 1990, if not a little before, since that's the time period he used Donnay. Before that he used Prince and after Donnay he used Head.

Now was that so hard to do on your own? Now you have a ballpark to look at.

  • Ha! Agassi hated Nick at this point! This must have been torcher!

  • Yeah, Andre didn't mention this instructional video in his book. It seems like he covered just about everything else that happened at the Bolleteri camp, though.

I got a kick out of Nick giving a slight pause and thumbs-up in the beginning when he says, "...and my friend." Andre must have agreed to make this after he gave Nick the large, stuffed Panda bear.

  • rock n roll tennis awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so awesome!!!!

  • which year was this?

  • This was made in 1990. Watching this makes me miss Agassi!

  • great- love it!!!

  • Thanks

  • Upper body strength has very little benefit for tennis. Its mainly for injury prevention and stability. Just look at any pro's weightroom training. No heavy lifting. All body weight stuff for the most part. Power comes from tecnique, flexibility, legs, and core. Upper body is nothing more than a mechanism to transfer that energy. Look at fed, djokovic, etc. Skinny upper bodies but generate more power than some bigger guys.

Not "dissing" agassi. Its just a genetic feature.

  • andre has some skinny chicken legs

  • OLD SKOOOOOLLL! :D

  • I love this guy. This is rock and roll tennis at its best!
