ok first off there would be hundreds of thousands of PC's out there with the same IP as Devins on their LAN (Local Area network) . His is behind a Firewall and router using NAT (Network address translater) so hackers can't see his IP. Only the one his ISP gave him for his internet connection is visible from the outside.

tightVNC uses ports 5900 and 5800 so you will have to open those ports on your firewall; and if you want to connect to a computer over the internet you will have to setup port forwarding on your router.

This version does not allow file tranfer . you didnt also explain in the las bit what u meant , how save as as this version wont allow me to save ..greate video though

@BlackConnectionRec it does allow file transfer, on the viewer window. click the file transfer button. file transfer has to be check off in the server options for it to work.

So with vnc is it possible to see videos (and all other nice things seen in your video) at exactly the same time on both computers? like in a stream? and is it also possible to do one thing on computerA while seeing the other computerB, but the other computerB still being able to go about it's business?

You Are Not Going To Be able To Play Games From the desktop on the laptop with VNC because of VNC's Slow Refresh Rate. It Will Be Very Laggy With Games.

192.168.0.0 is a local IP Adress given by a router. 72.184.000.000 is an example of an external IP. You Can't Get To It Outside Of your network. it just is not possible without port 5900 forwarded to the server. i am making a video on how to forward. it will be uploaded very soon. to help the ones having this problem.

Heh, in my school the admins use VNC took patrol certain computers of pupils to see if they're not playing any games or doing illegal stuff. The VNC is pretty much protected, but I think I found a way round it. (can't close it in task manager) Here is my question: Do they completely lose control when you type the following in CMD?

if its running it should be in the task man under the "processes" tab as "vnc.exe" or somthing like that, you can also block the program in the windows firewall on the computer =)
