Wow, nice, i know its an oldish video and a ban list old, but thats a good play through, i recently build a psychic deck which resolves around banishing cards with hush psychic, serene, wizard and so on, my extra deck just consists of 2 of each psychic synchros and ultimate axon as i prefer my extra to be the same structure as my deck, but i do like those combos, often my deck gives great combos, by my second turn i usually have 3 synchros and a fusion out but still looking for ways to combo :)

Sad this is what Yu-Gi-Oh has been reduced to...variety and unique ideas don't matter anymore lets just combo the whole deck to win in one turn ruining the entire duel, I mean this doesn't even look difficult to pull off. The old Horus/Jinzo lock or Dark Simorgh Lock back in the day took alittle time it was actually a duel...this is just taking minigun to a kuriboh. Makes me pine for the old days.

I completely agree. However, the game isn't entirely lost. I post this and share it with youtube so players may understand the mechanics of the deck without actually needing to play it. Decks like this always have extremely weak points that cause them to fall apart. In this case, as I've mentioned, Veiler on Mind Master. Decks that actually take thought and skill don't have kryptonites like OTK decks do, don't lose to just one card. So there is still some balance, nonetheless.

@DragonDuelistGirl Except your opponent only has a 15% chance of getting that card first turn AT BEST and not every deck mains even 1 Veiler sooo there's game one and even if they side hard they'd have to make their deck into some sort of Anti-Meta Maddness (tm) to win with a first turn Thunder King or something first turn Doomcal... I mean even old OTK/FTK's still work I could whip out Batterymen and at least get R1 decks like that just aren't by definition fun its just meh.....

@Portal8229 Really dude? The old days? I assume you mean the old days when it was legal to run 3 Delinquent duo and make it so your opponent started the duel with 2 cards in hand? Yu-Gi-Oh has NEVER been balanced, Lets also remember that the old days had Yata-lock, which was an FTK, Magical Explosion, Which was an FTK and Makyura FTK. half of those were all around before the banlist was even invented. The game takes more skill now than it ever has, And these OTK decks are RARELY completetive.

Call me crazy, but I cant see a reason why you couldnt use Mind Master's effect with a full field, and im a certified judge and i've been chatting with all the other judges I know and they cant think of a reason to rule it that way either. Could you link me where you got that ruling? Good news is is that if im right, the deck only gets more powerful. :)

Cards don't retain priority, players do. Turn player who activates an E Tele as Chain Link 1 will retain priority to activate Ignition effects (if during the Main Phase) or SS 2+ when the monster it brings out hits the field.

This deck does a better job at synchroing into T.G.'s than the archetype itself. If you don't think OTK'ing your opponent turn 1 with a Quasar is broken, then I really don't know what to tell you.

What about replacing the Destructotron or Reinforced Human Psychic Borg with Psi-Blocker? Both are level 4 but Blocker gives you that added protection against Veiler.

While a good card, Psi Blocker still seldom answers Veiler. This is what often what would happen:

Standby Phase from Witch, MM.

Normal Summon Psi-Blocker, activate effect declaring Effect Veiler.

Chain Effect Veiler, Targeting Mind Master.

Psi Blocker resolves after, but Veiler has already negated MM.

The Mind master often comes out via Witch. The only way to stop Veiler from going off is if he's coming out through Tele or One for One and you have the Blocker in hand.

I'm a little confused on one minor thing. You special Mind Master, normal Witch, pop witch then search out Cleric, but while you're searching out Cleric, you dump Esper Girl into the graveyard, im curious as to why? It hit me that maybe you skipped the step in summoning Esper to tribute for Cleric, but i'd just like to double check because i've been trying to learn this combo for a while now, and if there's a more subtle trick to it, i'd love to know it.

I skipped to make it easier not to search twice. You'll see that I subtracted the cost for cycling through her as soon as I finished searching. The deck shuffles every time you go in, so was just speeding things up. :)

To be honest I would cut the Shooting for Trish. Mostly because when you go Quasar you go for Game. With only 1 Formula you're not gonna be bringing out Shooting Star the regular way even though you could but Quasar > Shooting. Other than that looks like a Fun and Powerful Combo Deck and other than Veiler you really got no worries.

I might cut Lifetrancer. It's just good to have a Psychic target of every level in Extra in case. Colossal is needed for one of the other win conditions of this deck, which is Colossal/Armory Arm.
