You... didn't know that... that's been commonly known since about, 2000 at least, and a lot of us knew it back in the 98 if not sooner, they didn't exactly hide it that well, even in the dub, and in the Japanese version, they didn't even try to hide it, because it's a plot point. so yes, Haruka and Michiru are LESBIAN, I find it sad that such narrowmindedness can exist these days.
Well, they did try to cover it up in the English dub - although that never made sense; cousins? Anyhow, it's very subtle - and quite cool.
I watched the Cantonese dub growing up. They are very cute together, and they are loyal as hell. (I'm speaking about the final episode when they die together with their hands interlaced.)

In another one, Michiru says that only couples and pigeons go to parks on holidays. She is, of course, with Haruka at the time. Michiru also calls Haruka "my important partner."

They are most emphatically not cousins in the original. The Americanization made them cousins in order to "hide" the fact that they're lovers. Unfortunately, all they did was add some really viewer-unfriendly incest implications.

Minako and Usagi haved a crush on Haruka, but then she actually TOLD them she was a girl.
All sailor senshis are girls, thats the way it is.
Haruka is a girl in the anime too.

I don't think the producers wanted to promote lesbians a thousand years ago when this was made. not to mention this was made for kids under 16. so, it's more logical Haruka is a boy. In the original manga, I know she was a girl, but in the tv serie it's a boy.

I saw all the episodes a few years ago, dubbed in roumanian and he was a boy in real life, girl as a sailor. last year i downloaded the japanese version with english subtitles and it was the same. and wikepedia is not a real source of information,anyone can post there. even a "crazy" fan like you ;) if you want to believe she's a girl fine, but for me Haruka is a boy. and don't take things so personally. it's just a cartoon.
