  • Maybe you should change the title and the video completely to something else this doesnt sound like the Beatles even in the slightest. Seriously! Its not even funny.

  • Awesome song guys. Would be cool if someone made an album of all these Beatles soundalike songs.

  • Amazing video. Horrible song...

  • Anyone know where I can download this? LOVE IT.

  • Magnifique!!!splendide!!

  • fantastic

  • something can you give me the chords??

  • I would have taken credit for it myself if I had written it and not bothered with calling it a Beatle tune, this is brilliant.

  • Say that again?

  • i know right, i like it though!

  • Cohen and Shatners Bassoon Band.

  • very nice sounds just like the beatles who ever this is there good its not the beatles it shore sounds like them hey check out on youtube the song you silly doggie its an awesome song i think you all will like

  • No it sounds like Ringo.

  • sounds like julian.

  • C'mon lads...this is hardly recognisable as a Lennon impersonator, let alone John himself...

  • Sounds a little like Neil Innes - maybe an unused Rutles song?

  • Hahahaha...Rutles were great too.

  • Thanks for pointing that out. I've left a message on Joe's account too.

  • if you want to hear the best John Lennon impersonator on Youtube, check out caroline372. Puts the rest to shame.

    Especially this one.

  • @DigitalGrotto

Please take a look here on YOUTUBE:

    The Beatles (not) locomotion

Joe Stefanelli sing, act and look like the young John Lennon from 1964 !!!

It's stupid and not fair of you to say :

    Put the rest to shame

    Nevertheless:

Stevie Riks (caroline372) is the best "multi-impersonator " with talent and humor here on Youtube

  • Peter Serafinowicz

  • BEATLES OR NOT ,IT IS PURE BEATLE.

  • Shater's Basson?Chris Morris :-)

  • So where's the Paul/Ringo version? It's been 3 years! Where did you read that rumour?

  • I'm a big fan of the Beatles, and I do think it's definitely reminiscent of them. He sounds a lot like John. I enjoy this song, actually. I don't think it's as good as something the Beatles would have written, but I still like it.

  • Sounds like me Mam! Me Mam am the greatest!

  • Is this not the Beatles? Then who?

  • i love this song soooooooo much!!!

  • i'm saying it again: i love this song soooooooomuch!!! thank you for posting this!!!

  • even if it isnt the beatles this is a great song

  • The drums are very ringo, his famous beat. bass bass snare bass bass

  • I enjoy it

  • At times it sounds like Lennon...

If you listen to this song over

& over..It will grow on you!

Regardless if it's not that good..

  • I think it sounds more like Paul.

  • Yanks think they are sooo clever at Accents,, but to a Australian i really sounds like a poor US Imatator.. some of the Inflections in the vocals are really funny.. Like when Americans do Australian Accents.. Spot em a mile..

  • If you listen to the beatles anthology for three weeks straight plus alot of unreleased

    tracks,This sounds like the beatles.

  • I like the vid they're wearing the same clothes as the abbey road cover

  • It defently doesn't sound like George's guitar style either. Hey but you can tap your feet to it. I was also wondering if it could be Jullian Lennon but the voice pitch doen't match.

  • No genuine Beatle freak would be fooled by this. Although the musical elements on the track are interesting

  • lol, fuck notice how it doesn't sound like a Beatles singing, the guitar doesn't sound like any Beatles playing it, and how nothing about it sounds like a Beatle recording? lol

  • this was at the apple beatles site, the video anyway...it was accompanied by come together though. not this song!

  • jus sum american guy singing ent it

dnt sound n e fing like john

  • The voice is a passable Lennon, however the guitar style is completely un-Lennon-like. Also, the addition of a 'chorus' effect on the vocal is I feel a fairly blatant attempt to recreate the ADT effect used on many of The Beatles later recordings. In other words folks, on balance I'd say 'Nice try but no reefer'...

  • Wow, pretty good song, and it does sound a lot like John!

  • I would like an mp3 copy of this song. I've been looking all over the net but I couldn't find a site to upload this song. It is really cool though. :)

  • By the way the question has been answered but the uploader hasn't bothered to put up the correct info. The name of the band is Cohen & the Shatners Bassoon Band and the song is Lonely like a rainbow. Do a search and you'll be able to find a hi-fidelity recording of the song.

  • whatever it is, its great! blew MY mind, anyway, just by allowing my imagination to entertain the possibility that its real. a cool song too. great job.

  • its not watching rainbows i ve got the real one . its actually quite finnished unlike some beatles unrealsed tracks lennons voice is a little low in the mix but it would ve been a great song had it been developed more as if the esha session all things must pass

  • this song is not strictly the beatles but it is a mashmix of parts of unreleased beatles tracks from the pepper sessions remixed by rob cohen and the shatners bassoon band and is called lonely like a rainbow not watching rainbows and the video does not belong to this track it is from the beatles video by melon

    for come together!!!

  • Fartish

    Anticool

    Krappy

    Edited

  • Too right, Fibo. The real "Watching Rainbows" is viewable elsewhere on YouTube and sounds like a working version of 'I've got a feeling'.

  • fucking fake

  • it sounds alot like lennon's voice, but the music sounds too electronic to be the beatles

  • uuuuuuuh emo retro? i bet you don't even know what emo means, ya you don't, i'll tell you, it means emotional, got it. it's not like depressed it's just emotional, emo is a short word for it

  • emo retro, just kidding LOL

  • fake

  • It's the Beatles. Who else could it be?

  • Trust me, there are tons of Beatle sound-a-likes who record stuff like this to "spark" rumours of a lost track every once in a while.

  • Hmmm...interesting.

Well they do a very good job then if they truly are not the Beatles. Either way this is a really good song.

  • This is a good job, but only a close proximity to John Lennon. Really good imitation though. A good song too.

Sounds a bit lie the experimental period of 'Revolver'.. a bit like "Tomorrow Never Knows"

  • This isn't Watching Rainbows. This isn't even the Beatles.

  • It's a sound-a-like for the most part.

  • Its beatles, you can watch there rehearsle some were on here.

  • is an unreleased song by The Beatles recorded on January 14, 1969 during the Get Back sessions at Twickenham Studios. It features John Lennon on lead vocal and electric piano, Paul McCartney on lead guitar, and Ringo Starr on drums; George Harrison had temporarily left the group at this stage of the sessions

  • it doesn't sound like the beatles but it sounds like 1980's lennon

  • why dont they use this in antology???? I dont understand

  • because it's not the beatles.

  • I dont know the music (in the first time i heard two virgins) but is lennon voice!!!

  • where do you found it????????? Where?????

  • amazing!

  • this sons cool!

  • muito bem feito esse clip queria que me enviassem o aúdio dele em mp 3 por favor.coisa de profissional tanto o som quanto o clip!!!!aliás é profissional>está de parabéns quem o fez!!!!!

  • There are a lot of songs that never saw the light of day. Esp with Lennon Phil Spector stole a lot of his demos and masters.

  • in somewhere i read they made a song or think made a song with this name, but im not sure.. but the voice is not exactly like john and the music sound a little poor .. anyway :/

  • the song is sucks

  • It...really sounds like john Lennon....and NO-ONE sounds like John lennon but John lennon....i'm confused...

  • John did make a demo with this name. This isn't it though

  • this song is not the beatles it is by "cohen and the shatners bassoon band" and is called "lonely like a rainbow" you can find more info by using google and using the bands name as a search term

  • Thanks for that - interesting stuff. But I love the idea that there are Beatles songs we've never heard, maybe a whole secret lost album..anyway I like the aong and animation.

  • Syd Barret touch on this...(to me)

  • it´s wonder.............great.......splendit

  • Until 0:34 promising. Then poor composition. Good video.

  • this is john ,i know for a fact this is off of a studio rip from 1979 it was a demo never released, and you know how i know this my father and john were good friends.

  • "No it's not," said little Ramon. "It's Julian Lennon. I know because he and my friend's aunt are opening a hamburger stand together."

  • It's definitely not Beatles. Does sound like Lennon. It's amazingly finished for something that has never been released.

  • Does Any One Knows What He Says On 2:12 until the end??

  • It sure as hell sound like John!

  • Thanks for pointing out this fake. I do like it though great tune, and thanks for the name of the band, now I have found some more tracks! cheers and keep posting jock.

  • Youtube won't let me post the link, but the info on the real Beatles "Watching Rainbows" can be found on Wikipedia.

  • Does Anybody understands what John is saying on 2:12?

  • I dont think this is the Beatles....the video is one from Come Together I have seen it before.

  • fucking cool song beatle or not

    well done.

  • it's a pretty good song and video, even if it is fake.

  • This is just fake Beatles. The singer sounds neither paul, john, george nor ringo. But is has a good sound!

  • It sounds like a sci fi acid inspired tune from the 80s underground techno scene.

  • This flash animation was produced by French creative house, MELON DEZIGN for the "BEATLES ONE" album in 2001. Please check their web site. You can watch very clear one.

  • The real Beatles version of this song is available on this site just search Watching Rainbows.

  • thank for your comments! anyone know who the fake is? I'd really be interested to find out cheers /////////////////jok

  • The song in this video is not The Beatles. The video is from the unreleased promo of "Come Together". That video was supposed to be used on their official website. For some odd reason it was rejected, and then leaked onto another website (I forget which one at the moment). I'm not sure if I have the original video in my collection (my computer crashed, etc). But yeah, the song here is fake, but nice though..

  • Yes, the song in this video is not The Beatles Watching Rainbows . The Beatles version is here :

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDNpfKzdbQs

  • This song, which first evolved from a loose "Mean Mr. Mustard" jam, is available on several unofficial Beatles bootlegs.

It is believed that Lennon shouts "Shoot me!" during the song, but upon closer inspection it is obvious that he is actually shouting "Shoot big!"

  • Watching Rainbows" is an unreleased song by The Beatles recorded on January 14, 1969 during the massive Get Back sessions at Twickenham Studios. It features John Lennon on lead vocal and electric piano, Paul McCartney on lead guitar, and Ringo Starr on drums; George Harrison had temporarily left the group at this stage of the sessions.
