@11vivisection11 I'm a linguist and I know: but Mansi belongs to the Ugric subdivision. They split too long ago for it to sound too much like Finnish (yet linguists can determine all sorts of similarities). But it is very close to Hungarian, even by the sheer sound of it.

@granskare Mansi is Uralic, but not Finnic, it sounds most like Hungarian.
