  • FUN FACT: johnny depp gets payed the most.

  • marlon brando goes down in history as maybe one of the greatest, if not the greatest, actors of all time. johnny depp is still working on his resume, but i have to say, maybe the best of contemporary actors extant. and he is not done yet

  • is that jesus wearing glasses?

  • This is watchable, the video's you uploaded however...

  • recorded with a potato while watching a potato

  • JD looks like a biker chick in this vid

  • @TheWolowiz he lives in France

  • @jdpotc123 There both method actors. They both can transform into any character or person and play them flawlessly.

  • veery good johnny..

  • or public enemies, maybe the ninth gate or blow and secret window... i get what you mean by the "weird guy wanting to impose" but that's not always the case, just like harrison ford with his movies...

  • mimicry? that's what acting is.. portraying a role, not of yourself. vito corleones' a character out of a book, he mimiced the character.... as with any other role, therefore he acted as vito corleone. he was a method-actor, unlike harrison ford.. in my opinion you can't compare those two.. i like harrison ford, but he's not a better actor. i can say harrison ford always plays the turned against hero/adventurer.. so what does that mean? have you ever checked out, what's eating gilbert grape

  • Depp and Brando, the most overrated actors of the 20th century.

  • @Dardanstarnan you're an asssssssssss. go fuck yourself sideways.

  • @blackhorse099 yeah right, at least I'm not a blinded idiot who can't distinguish a good actor like Harrison Ford from the pampered and retarded fool Brando was, and from that rat-looking idiot called Johnny Depp that has no personality, but thinks himself greater than the real actors like Gene Wilder and James Dean... and besides, the attack was towards them, not you, so get lost, you little Depp freak...

  • @Dardanstarnan you show your complete ignorance in everything you say. 1) I'm NOT a Depp freak FUCKTARD. the fact that you insinuated that because I simply commented on a video of him makes you look like a fucking fool. 2) where in the fuck did you get the information that Depp "thinks himself greater" than Gene Wilder and James Dean?? I'm pretty damn sure that Depp would never say or even allude to ANY such thing. 3) Harrison Ford, Gene Wilder, and James Dean are all greatly respected & (cont.)

  • @blackhorse099 (cont.) celebrated actors, I don't how on God's green earth you get off saying that I or others don't recognize them. I consider River Phoenix to have been someone who didn't get the recognition he deserved, yet i'm not here showing disrespect to Brando and Depp because they did happen to get a lot of recognition. When you play such memorable characters as Brando has in such classic films it's kind of hard to go under the radar...

  • @blackhorse099 and you know, if you really use that little noggin of yours, you might realize that if an actor is "overrated," that's most often the fault of the media and the audiences, not the fault of the actors themselves numbnuts. did you ever think maybe they do what they believe in and take the roles they want to take, and can't help what becomes popular and what doesn't?

  • @blackhorse099 oh, yeah? then why are you defending him like a little fan who can't stand a simple critic like the one I said? well, you may not be a Depp freak, but at least I don't attack people just because they don't agree with what I like or not... I think that either you may have some crazed obsession for this guy, or wish to attract attention as another "defender" of this guy's undeserved popularity. He is a typical actor, has NOT much to offer, and has a clan of obsessed little fools...

  • @Dardanstarnan God. I am just so not in the mood for people like you right now.....or EVER. that actually is precisely the reason why I responded so hotly to your stupid comment in the first place. i'm done talking to you. i feel the vomit coming up and obviously you have nothing intelligent whatsoever to say. i've wasted three comment boxes with logical thoughts and you just go in circles. bye.

  • @blackhorse099 well, if you feel like answering another comment that attacks your opinion, you better think twice to answer it rather than giving comments that have absolutely no logic... so next time, just respect other people's opinions and be a little more mature in your replies... bye

  • @Dardanstarnan I'm sorry but your first comment has no foundation at all so It's normal people "attack" you. You were actually judging or claiming they're overreated without explaining why. It's your opinion but you surely wanted to provoke with the way you said it. next time explain why you think they're overrated and then people can discuss without calling you names. and this is my opinion.

  • @XxAnaAnyaxX well, at least you have more logic than the fool that first replied... No, my intention was never to provoke anyone... these are my reasons, if you're interested in knowing... Brando surely had a good role, The Godfather... the rest was just pure mimicry; he had an extravagant personality, felt he was indispensable for the directors... Sometimes showed up drunk for recording, other times he never even showed up... didn't want to bother learning scripts...

  • @XxAnaAnyaxX he even changed scenes, locations or lines, against the director's will... had an erratic personality, bit a live frog... a live frog, how gross can you get... As for Depp, his roles are just a bundle of ego promotion... he's really ugly, don't know how people find him attractive, looks filthy, my opinion, but his acting doesn't vary, it's just a weird guy wanting to impose... Just because he changes roles doesn't mean he changes personality traits in his roles... What do you think?

  • well frankly anyone who calls themselves smoothcriminal is automaticaly a dum butt it's a given! i just can't take that person literaly! so "smoothcriminal" before you talk trash about JD! i belive you need to CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU RECK YOURSELF!

  • I HATE THIS PRETENTIOUS PIECE OF DOG TURD. HE TRIES TO BE SOO MYSTERIOUS ABOUT ACTING, LIKE IT'S FUCKING BRAIN SURGERY. HE'S A GOOD ACTOR... BUT THEN AGAIN, ANYBODY AT THE RIGHT TIME AND PLACE WITH SOME PRETTY DECENT LYING SKILLS AND GOOD LOOKS COULD DO THE SAME THING HE DOES.

  • @smoothcriminal28 What stands out about Depp is that he was offered huge block buster roles 20 yrs ago after 21 Jump street, the type that Tom Cruize played for most of his career but turned them down as he wanted to play roles that challenged him and found interesting (not just the same type of role) rather than just doing it for the money & fame. There are very few actors who have done this & still ended up being the biggest i.e. done it their way rather than being a Hollywood puppet. .

  • @smoothcriminal28 and if you are as good an Actor as Depp you would get bored doing the same type of role over and over again. Not many actors who play such a variety or roles. He is probably not as comfortable in most of his interviews as some of the other loud outgoing celebrities who thrive on the attention.

  • <3 Johnny Depp ;)

  • Depp really is a very talented actor. A great actor doesn't have to be perfect in every movie or anything, so to expect perfection is a bit silly. He takes it seriously and is very versatile. He doesn't just do eccentric roles. If you actually look at his filmography you'll realize that. Marlon was great, too, of course.

  • @nickjames46 obviously

  • two of some of the greatest actors of all time.

  • @johnmoraski nigger.

  • These two would befriend one another, they're perfect in their own ways

  • Ahh depp annoys the shit outta me

  • johnnys a great actor but if you listen to all the top actors when they are asked whos the best, they all say brando, period.

  • @ bluenoserob Johnny Depp has always been my favorite. If you look at the difference of characters between Jack Sparrow and Mr. Barrie and Willy Wonka there are HUGE differences, and that's what makes Johnny the best.

  • @luvely57 If acting was about looking looking/acting different, Madona would have gotten 10 oscars at least. So would laddy gaga

  • this its funny cause i was just watching one youtube video where edward norton was talking about the last movie that marlon brando done before he died where he co satrted with him and he did mention the fart machine lol that marlon brando was always having fun with it lol

  • comparing JD and MB is like comparing Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire, Betty Davis and Joan Crawford, or Maria Callas and Renata Tebaldi. You cant compare them... they are both in the same field, but they are completely different.

  • @jdpotc123 Nope. That is typical women logic. They are both actors, and JD is worse and MB is better. Well this is how it is, i don't know what your pussy tell you but that is irrelevant.

  • @Jaacoopp

wow, that's some of the most out of the blue sexism i've seen in a long time

  • @jdpotc123 Marlon Brando is much better. Johnny Depp is very overranked

  • Just goes to show fart jokes are the great leveller..!

  • Dude, you can't even compare them. Marlon is amazing, but picture him playing Jack Sparrow. I don't see it. And picture Johnny playing Stanley Kowalski. It just wouldn't work. They both are babes though. haha

  • @jemappelkatie

Sadly, we will never know therefore that makes it inconclusive. Their interpretations would be different but the affect on the audience might be greater.

  • Who ever says johnny depp isnt a good actor, clearly doesnt know acting and are missing out on some beautiful art. I wanted to perform with Marlon Brando but hes with the untouchables. Pure work of the artful.

  • Johnny.. you're fucking good, but Marlon.. you're even better!

  • I heard Johnny D studied at the Johnny Booth school of higher learning? Is there really such a school? Is that some kind of joke just because he's anti- American? We need a good socialist to clarify.

  • This story is why Marlon Brando and Johnny Depp are two of the most amazing men to ever live on this planet! RIP Marlon, you're missed by everybody who's ever been touched by your work! <3

  • @thecanuckmovielord yeah and if people take that the wron way or use it as an agenda of "hating" then it's their cross to bear

  • @8j8j8ae Honestly, I don't give a shit. These two guys are just awesome, end of story.

  • cant wait to see him as the Ridler!!

  • Comment removed

  • Blow, The Libertine, Benny and Joon, Fleetstreet, etc....Depp and Brando just imagine the incredibly sexy bitches they got, wow!

  • Umm he lives in France, but then agin it's funny how one comment (like his) can have everyone turn on you and have a permanent negative perception of you for life, or maybe it's just them needing another reason not to like you (sort of like when Tom jumped off the couch & Today interview) and all of sudden folks were like "I never liked him anyway", gee, like him I didn't hear no one say it before) and also when they get their feelings hurt cuz that person didn't turn out the way they projected

  • wdf is going on here?

  • What the hell is he talking about?

  • the popcorn they sell to the fat americans when they watch movies is artistically superior to their cinema

  • @AristYdes

What is wrong with you? Americans may not always make the best movies nowadays, but we've made some of the best movies in history. What about On the Waterfront, Streetcar Named Desire, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, The Godfather, etc. That list goes on. What is in your head that you believe Americans don't make good movies?

  • @AristYdes ahahahahahahaha thats fuckin funny, not saying i agree, but niice

  • @AristYdes Are you referring to American cinema at the moment, or the entire history of American cinema? If you are just referring to the garbage churned out by money-hungry pretentious Florida trash like Depp, you are correct!

  • @farmerbrown2a no trash like the twilight saga, and while I'm not a resident there, why do you have to go at Florida like that (as if no one decent lives there), the fact that I'm even dignifying this is boggling though

  • HE'S SO CUTE

  • rofl omfg that was sooo funny!

    "i found God!"

  • The Pooter

  • Hi Jack Vale!

  • I saw this documentary on TV not to long ago. does anyone know the name of the documentary or where I can get a hold of it? :)

  • its probably inside the actors studio

  • @Iqfreee It's called "Brando" by Turner Classic Movies (2007).

  • I didnt know that if you were born in this country you were required to live here the rest of your life. Johnny Depp married a foreigner and pays his taxes in this country. The last comment is from a very troubled person.

  • Its not America who gave him fame but his own talent. and as a free country - its normal when in America people can say that they do not agree with something in it - thats called democracy and freedom of free speech - those things make America you're referring to the different one from those countries which would kill Depp for similar remarks...

  • Freedom of speech in great democracy of USA ? u got to be kidding me ..or u mean freedom to those famous or rich ?? great democracy , too where W could steal elections and stay in power for 8 years ..indeed , must be a great nation ..btw, if u worship that junkie J.Depp , go suck his dickk , u shitt-head loser

  • I do not worship him - but i respect him? asa regular man. I do not base my judgment on media - therefore I'm not a marionette such as you. As for sucking dicks - i guess its your prerogative as only losers like you waste their time on blaming the government instead of doing something themselves to change it. not to mention using curse words when inappropriate and blame all around them instead of themselves. therefore government "owns" them...many times in a row. fag.

  • u talk BS . and arguing to BS is boring . I don't blame W -actually I find him quite amusing-, but blame silly americans voted for him .u tried to degrade other nations without seeing the faults in yours. I have very good yankee friends but they are selective individuals ,, u are imbecile who buys hype ..Viva Marlon , escrew JDepp

  • ok. i'm russian anyway. i'm not fan of usa. i got what you mean. all what i 've wanted to say is that Depp has nothing to do with W.

  • @ytertyu

I'm not going to even address the foul nature of some of your post in which you didn't even have to go there in order get a point across (one of the many downfalls of society)

but "screw" if that's what you meant to type (shakes head), I would agree with you about W but why are you assuming that just because Johnny had a problem with the country that he doesn't love it?

  • @8j8j8ae Or are you just one of the many pseudo-patriotic " I don't care aobut any other country, screw them all and if you don't bleed America and hate everything else, then you should just basically go rot somewhere" types that just categorize him with any other "American hating Librul" like half of the hawks harp about?

  • @8j8j8ae yeah , he doesn't like the country but he can't say "no" to sweet hollywood money.. 20+ million per movie , 2-3 shitty movies a year ..hollywood is america ,,and it's the worst part of america ..full of crap .. fucking phoney johnny boy doesn't like USA , but he doesn't go anywhere else either ;)

  • @ytertyu

Oh he can and will say no sooner or later, just when he feels he's done enough, and 20 mil, news to me (thought maybe around the 10 mil area). Then again I'm not going to tell anyone, especially a stranger on how to make his living. Not all of his movies are shitty but that's the perception again of many who think that way when their fav person gets all overrated and famous. Oh I think D.C is the worst part, with all the crazy hypocritical politicians throughout history.

  • @jfunf please Americans, remember that there are other free countries in the world. The US are not the only ones. Just to let you know.

  • duh...for your information - i'm russian...

  • his marlon brando impression is awesome

  • roflmfao !!! more like beeb beeb to me....

    hahahahahaha

    hey, friend,

    snap out of it. lol

    lets talk sometime.

  • perfect sound

  • so adorable :D haha!

  • ok that was funny

  • did you know he based that look on Heinrich Himmler?

  • yea i wanna see public enemies and i hope that ther's a Pirate 4

  • wow, I always want to condemn Johnny Depp but he really is a genius.

  • type 'drew schofield contenders' into you tube watch and smile funny funny

  • hahahahaha

  • is there anything he hasnt experienced..

  • Fuck you, you fucking cockroach. I wish I could squash you.

  • oh no actually i think i've finally understood the story

but could still someone just explain in a few words what exactly is the thing, cause i'm not sure i perfectly understood...

    thx

(god why did m parents stay in france instead of going to usa?)

  • because usa is a degenerate cesspool. be glad they didnt

  • Could someone write down what he says ? So i can translate it for myself

Cause I'm french and sometimes I really don't understand well english when it's spoken...

    Anyway, thx for sharing

  • emm do u understand get a live loser

  • emm i think you mean life?

  • he said fk french frog motha fkers

  • "I've found God."

    Awesome clip. Brando was amazing.

  • Get a VCR. Didn't bother watching the video.

  • that he cant act

  • This was interesting. LOL. Thank you for sharing.

  • Oh my GOD, this is friggin' hilarious!!!!

  • lol this cracks me up... brando was so freaking cool

  • This is so sorta outspoken for him he usually holds back! So funny to I have to say I'm a woman an if someone did tht round me I would be rolling around laffing! I think he is fabulous man in evry way!

An to some of these comments if you don't like him or people who admire Johnny's looks ability or woteva then maybe you shouldn't watch these videos an waste your time commenting maybe you should watch something your intrested in

  • Hey Hey...now Im a straight man and very very comfortable with that...and I can say that Johnny Depp is a very handsome man..Needs some help possibly in the hygiene and fashion department. But not at all ugly..I have to defend my wifes favorite actor. Im sure there are many men and definitely many women who will defend this statement.

  • I defend your statement!

  • watch Chocolat, Fear & Loathing, Edward Scissorhands, Finding Neverland, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Donnie Brasco, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and say he has no acting ability. whether you engaged in his performances or not does not make him a bad actor. it's whether he served those characters well, which he did. you're an ass if u think he's there cos of a pretty face. otherwise orlando bloom would be doing shakespeare!

  • his performance in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was stellar. it was creepy, fun and whimsical. Gene Wilder's interpretation of it was very good as well. but nothing as faithful or as nuanced as johnny depp's service to the character. he stole each and every scene in that movie. remember it doesn't have to be in a serious film to be a great performance.

  • personally, he's not one of my favourite actors. there are a quite a few i'd rather watch but to even suggest the guy has no talent is assinine. $474 million dollars worldwide gross would suggest his performance as noteworthy seeing as that was always highlighted as the main reason to go see the thing.

  • And From Hell, Amazing performance.

  • god i forgot From Hell! aha the guy's a real talent. can't wait for Public Enemies this summer.

  • @bluenoserob orlando bloom did do shakespeare :p :)

  • @bluenoserob does he ever play a non-wacko character?

  • @chris1612003 Yes. He's played non-wacko characters before in movies like What's Eating Gilbert Grape (normal older brother to Leo Dicaprios's retard), Dead Man (accountant in the old west), Donnie Brasco (undercover FBI agent Joe Pistone), Finding Neverland (as JM Barrie, the author of Peter Pan), Chocolat (travelling gypsy), Blow (as George Jung, the man responsible for the booming cocaine industry in the 70's). Look for films not directed by Tim Burton.

  • @bluenoserob Don't forget What's Eating Gilbert Grape and Benny and Joon. They may have been two of Johnny Depp's lesser known movies, but they are both classics in their own right and his perfomance in both films is untouchable still.

  • @bluenoserob definetely and his new movies (Public enemies and Alice in wonderland) are just amaaaaaaaazing! Every movie with him that 've seen has been great!

  • Oh please, Johnny Depp is NOWHERE near the actor Marlon Brando was. Depp sucks at playing normal people, he can only play eccentrics. Brando could play anything.

  • @CodyC6969 - "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" Johnny plays ordinary people too.

  • @CodyC6969 Like Starzus said, Johnny plays other characters too! Like, Georhe jung, john dillinger, james barrie, tom hanson, don juan de marco, cesar the list goes on and on.

  • @bluenoserob yupp and dont forget blow and whats eating gilbert grape

  • @bluenoserob Too add... Secret Window, Sweeny Todd, From Hell, Gilbert Grape, Benny & Joon.... One of the greatest, to ever bless the screen...

  • @bluenoserob Don't forget Blow. He made that movie worth watching. And he was great in it.

  • @bluenoserob Don Juan deMarco !

  • @bluenoserob as if you don't mention captain Jack Sparrow SHAME!

  • he wasnt an ugly man he was a progressive man, against religion indoctrination. The powers that be made him the son of god. Quite sad considering that was against everything that jesus stood for. Religion is a tool used by men to control other men.

  • once you play hunter thompson, you will always have a little hunter thompson in you. this video speaks to that

  • Daniel Day Lewis is brilliant too

  • Nobody comes close to Brando as an experience in film. Bette Davis perhaps in a few of her greatest roles but nobody else rivals Brando.

  • "Very good Johnny" OMG, Johnny sounded exactly like Brando when he said that!! Man, what I would pay to watch Johnny laugh hysterically (I can't even picture it! haha)

  • ive never seen him so up front and not shy and quiet..

    hes amazing =]

  • one of the best actors of today, talking about the best actor all times

  • @mapexdrums

That pretty much sums it up.

  • "Brando was amazing, savvy?"

  • oh man i want the whole video :D

  • that is great

  • Great story!

  • "ive found god" lol that is so funny

  • That's awesome. hey, i just looked.... i have the same birthday as Brando.

  • Apparently Brando drove everyone else around him crazy also.

  • he used 2 say rediculous things to see if ppl would pretend to be fascinated or if theyd give a real reaction, he didnt like fake ppl, thats why he hated interviews- cuz the interviewer has 2 act interested even if theyr not. watch the larry king interview, brando drives larry NUTS with his answers. iv never seen larry so impatient with someone

  • Interesting point. That actually makes a lot of sense and explains a lot of his behavior. Thanks.

  • DIPSET

  • Jack Nicholson once talked about the decades long competition among actors over who can pay the best compliment to Marlon. The one that sticks in my brain is from a fellow actor way back when he was doing "Streetcar" on Broadway, "A glob of the yeast of creation".

  • well, is that a compliment? coz Jesus is good looking..haha!!

  • When one finds a friend (okay I'm a talker) with whom one can laugh. Then all is right with the world.

  • Hahahahaa... priceless...

  • cool

  • HAHAH THAT WAS GREAT.

  • "I've found God!"

    lmao!

  • 'very good john' that bit was an excellent brando impression

  • i love how he just laughs when he telling the story; and i love the ending. 'I found GOD!" haha

  • brando was hotter
