This is a great clip! Somebody commented that they looked like they were having fun and I agree. Though, I think you can tell its not the same. They hardly ever look at each other and they don't even laugh at each other's antics like they used to. What great comedians, together both as Jerry would say.

Yep, it was in 1955. They broke up a few months later.

It's really strange to see because you can tell that they're just having pure fun right now, but behind the scenes when the masks are off...it's then that it starts.

The song itself was a late summer 1953 hit in the Rand B field by Faye Adams and one of the earliest examples of R and B crossover into the "pop music" field which, of couse, eventually led to the "rock and roll" fad two years later.Also note the use of the yancey bass as Martin and Lewis are obviously satirizng a form of music that was just making itself known to the mass audience in those pre-Presley days.
