the isan people in thailand have the same dish too. they catch the shrimp and add fish sauce and other ingredients to it. it is quite good!

I ate it before in Thailand. Its good. Those shrimps are mostly farmed now. I like the sauce they put in it. People are closed minded because its out of their comfort zone. You can't really say anything unless you've tried it.

Those are fresh shrimps (alive) dipped in a mixture of vinegar, salt & spices. Toss them in there 'til they quit jumping and crunch. This guys sound sounds like from Visayan Islands.

in korea u go ice fishing in a lake..
