I never cried at the end of this game, I was simply speechless, expressionless, I had never seen an ending like this before, I had this strange inexplicable feeling inside of me and I was covered in goosebumps, I get near that same feeling when I hear this piece today... I never played these original games - Red and Blue Rescue Team. But since I did play the sequels (Explorers of Time and Darkness) I have an idea of how sad this ending must have been. Can anybody tell me where I can find a decent copy of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue?

I never cried when playing this. I only felt an overwhelming sadness. To disappear in front of your friend like that... its torture. Seeing them leave, almost as if they were dying. Knowing you'll never see your friend again. Hits me hard in the heart. I even made a flipnote on my DS based on the ending.

@CandytheHedgebatcat9 not weird, just that your emotions are more stable than some of us. You can handle sad situations much easier than what most can and that is what defines you, it is not a curse but an essence of yourself. Never feel bad for not shedding a tear, because it isn't worth the worry.

This, along with MOTHER 3's ending, are the only two games in which I cried at the ending. It's just so well scripted, and the music is perfect. Just... wow.
Yeah, maybe the mainstream games have little to offer for the plot, but PMD: Red/Blue Rescue Team is quite possibly the most emotional handheld RPG I've ever had the fortune to play. The storyline is just so beautiful.

oh my gosh, I wish I could relive this moment. I remember it so clearly, We were on our way home from a trip to Pennsyvania, it was thundering, and i was in the backseat playing this game. I got so excited when I beat Rayquaza, but sad when Skitty left Totadile.
I know it's just a game, but... this makes me cry everytime I hear it! Now I remember the old times, when I finally beat rayquaza, and cubone had to leave my partner pikachu, I started to cry. Couple years after that, my brother bought PMD1, he was Machop, and we completed it on our Teneriffe journey. This was my first pokemon game, but yeah I played my brother's (who is now 21) old pokemon games a couple of times, but I was eight when I got this for my birthday. I remember when my character had levitated and I started crying, then my mum said "Honey, why are you crying?" and I said, "Mummy, my pokemon died :(". This song sure does bring memories :')

It kinda makes you wonder. Is our life just a game? So many bad things happen every day, yet so many good things happen too. Are we just being played on a tiny little cartridge by god? People die, people are born, and it happens naturally. Just like in video games or TV or anything, really. We ask ourselves, why? Why does it happen? It kinda makes you wonder.
The ending alone probably wouldn't have made me cry... But this song was too much. Too much emotion, and I cried... Best game ever! Pmd2 didn't have nearly the same effect as this did, even though it was a great game, too.
I remember hacking my partner to be Eevee in PMD Red. I was actually a bit surprised to see that Eevee had a weeping image just like the normal partners...

Whilst i play shooters, there just not the same as games like this. Granted, the story In ODST was sad, but it wasnt portrayed in the same way as PMD, this game did it better, it made you feel like you really were loosing a friend.
This song is beautifully written and this game was beautifully made. I absolutely loved this game and like the thousands of others that have listened to this, I cried at the end of Mystery Dungeon. There's no words to describe emotion that runs that deep.
This is one of the saddest/epic games i've played in some time. I usually never cry but I did at the ending of the game.

This song reminds me of my dog Tyson who was my best best friend since kindergarden and he had terrible cancer and had to be put to sleep I remember thinking about it in school the whole day and when I came home I ran over to his bed only to find it empty. My best friend had left me, but its not his fault.

@Dogs4evah almost the same story with my dog, maddy. I held her all the way there, crying and petting her for those last moments...she was put down, she suffered from blindness, she was deaf, and continually scared... all due to age... she was... "a true friend... a friend for life... I finally realize it now... if we wish... and wish very strongly.... perhaps we shall meet again...." death is a part of life, but it does not have to separate you, as long as you never forget those who pass on...

There once was a pokemon named Jayfeather he was a moewth pokemon
He woke up on the grass in a forest with a pokemon standing over him it was a "chikoreta" named "Firestar"
They met and saved a caterpie,after getting a home Firestar asked if they can form a rescue team then after much difficulty they get ran out of town for false accusions after much difficulty and positive attutudes from Firestar they meet Nine Tails and clear Jayfeathers name.after traveling up the sky tower and defeat

oh my gosh, I wish I could relive this moment. I remember it so clearly, We were on our way home from a trip to Pennsyvania, it was thundering, and i was in the backseat playing this game. I got so excited when I beat Rayquaza, but sad when Skitty left Totadile.

I know it's just a game, but... this makes me cry everytime I hear it! Now I remember the old times, when I finally beat rayquaza, and cubone had to leave my partner pikachu, I started to cry. Couple years after that, my brother bought PMD1, he was Machop, and we completed it on our Teneriffe journey. When Machop had to leave, we bouth cryed... after we got home, I downloaded The first Sad Song and sended to my bro.

This was my first pokemon game, but yeah I played my brother's (who is now 21) old pokemon games a couple of times, but I was eight when I got this for my birthday. I remember when my character had levitated and I started crying, then my mum said "Honey, why are you crying?" and I said, "Mummy, my pokemon died :(". This song sure does bring memories :')

my cousin who is 10, Is going through allot in his life. His mom got devorsed, and left, his dad cannot move his arms or legs,( making him sort of paralyzed) his brother is autistic, and he gets bullied at school. I'm glad he's home schooled now. I almost want to cry when I see him. D':

Its sad for me....Games never make me cry...but the MD series...makes me shed a tear. Why? This game is what a REAL adventure is...not guns and monsters. It was so good I couldn't stand the ending....i Shut my system off and restarted. I am proud of Nintendo...Im proud of this game....im Proud to own it. PMD LIVE ON!

i think most of us saw this coming, but like this, this was pretty unexpected for me... when ever i hear this son, it makes me remember that day and i have to shed a tear... :'(, i bet alot of us cried, except for my brother who has no soul

It kinda makes you wonder. Is our life just a game? So many bad things happen every day, yet so many good things happen too. Are we just being played on a tiny little cartridge by god? People die, people are born, and it happens naturally. Just like in video games or TV or anything, really. We ask ourselves, why? Why does it happen? It kinda makes you wonder.

The ending alone probably wouldn't have made me cry... But this song was too much. Too much emotion, and I cried... Best game ever! Pmd2 didn't have nearly the same effect as this did, even though it was a great game, too.

Whilst i play shooters, there just not the same as games like this. Granted, the story In ODST was sad, but it wasnt portrayed in the same way as PMD, this game did it better, it made you feel like you really were loosing a friend.

This song is beautifully written and this game was beautifully made. I absolutely loved this game and like the thousands of others that have listened to this, I cried at the end of Mystery Dungeon. There's no words to describe emotion that runs that deep.
