i don't know why any of you are talking about the fact that elephants can't jump...that's not relevant to the Damini the Elephant story...nor is it relevant to this song. Damini cried because Champakali died at childbirth, and the child was also stillborn- then Damini passed away 20 or so days later from starvation and depression.
