It's ridiculous that half of these comments are about wondering if the band is christian or not by asking on the comments. If I say "yes" others may say "no", and vice versa, and you guys will end up in pointless debates rather than listening to the true magic Kekal's music.
@JohnDeathMetal its a vocoder, it sounds really similar but the band has complete control over what the pitches and effects will be on the fly. it isn't used as a safety net for bad singers who cant hit notes to autocorrect it- thats autotune haha
MAN...these guys kick ASS!!! Im lovin this! How come ive never heard of em???? I hear SABBATH, WOLFMOTHER, and like a touch of Black metal???? awsome.
No they're not. They always say on the interviews that they're never that kind of band. Some people did view them as Christian band, based on their first 2 albums.
Jeff Arwadi of Kekal warns that "when another sub-genre has become established, it would create nothing but limits, and I don't think it's wise if we try to establish sub-genre that limits creativity and expression.
and thats why i'm here checking out wikipedia for avant garde music, it's our own expression we interprete.
Yeah.. Kekal is very good, their sounds just down right fantastic IMHO. If you want, you could check the lead singer other band Altera Enigma an experimental progressive metal + jazz band.
Thanks a lot. I plan on getting all of the available ones. Also, In a comment you made earlier in this video, you said "This is Jeff" Do you mean you are "Jeff" as in "Jeff Arwadi" of the band Kekal, or - your name just happens to be Jeff as well?
Thanks. I don't see why people get so crazy on insisting they are religous. :\ Eh. Oh well. Kekal owns. I just ordered the habbit of fire cd today. Can't seem to find their older cds, though.
Please be honest with me. I have heard many state that this is a Christian band, but - I dont hear any traces of christianity in their lyrics. So, to me, the only way I can think that anyone would call this "Christian" is because of the fact that it is not as "heavy" as most typiacl black metal/avant-garde bands.
cool indonesian band greetings from USA : )

@3plezer0 Actually, I've searched about them before. Some sources says they're, and others they're not.
But yeah, the important is to hear their song and appreciate it, because it's very good!

Interesting. But considering they are "avantgarde metal", I would have expected something that's not as easy to listen to.

Kekal's older CDs are available through The End Records Mailorder (The Omega)..

They believe in something positive, that's all. Kekal isn't a religious band, the band themselves confirm that many times.

They are about existentialism. There's a quote from Nietzsche on one song.
