ctrl+alt+delete and right click day of defeate or hl.exe under prosses and click maximize and bring to from ... that should work

I had the same issue , you have to disable DEP . som windows indexing shit or whatever. Thats one fix to it atleast.

I have a MAJOR problem with Day of Defeat (NOT SOURCE). I joined a server, and this dude Tked me, I called him a piece of shit, and I got banned, I didn't know how to change my name, but they changed my name to "Punished" or something like that. Right now, everything in the main screen (new game, server, options) is laggy as hell, if you were to pass through one of the options, it would be laggy, and even when I play, My Hud is gone, and all the text is black.

Okay, I asked my friend to post a video for me, and he did, search up "dodbrian", he has a video on my problem and it shows you the lag and shit I'm experiencing.

Create a shortcut on your desktop and use the short cut to launch Day of Defeat or after hitting launch on the community page close out what you use to launch it. The games there it's just behind the Community page, Hope it helps.

After reinstalling, process goes to 100% when I launch DoD, impossible to play...
