@Green0rRed Modern games have more complex gameplay, more virtual space, better graphics and overall more to work with. Games like Prototype, Batman Arkham Asylum/City and and God of War wouldn't be possible 10 years ago. Modern games are the best (except some overrated franchises).
@vgman94 It was classic games like Crash that had replay value, games you coulld play again and again. Now , well i would waste another second on these "BEST" xbox 360,ps3 crap. Video games has lost its way. But nobody cares about that if they're making the money still, thats what its all about - money and nothing else.
@Gameonjonny Bollocks. Many developers like Radical Entertainment and Rocksteady care about their games. It's not all about money, and Crash gaining new gameplay innovations instead of repeating the same old, unimaginative-for-the-present formula is not being a money whore. If you're talking about gaming in general, some companies like Naughty Dog just care for money nowadays, but there's a good amount of talented and legitimate studios as well.
@Berniebud Oh, yes. Like the Wumpa Fruit completely disappeared. The health items named Wumpa Fruit in Titans and Mind Over Mutant were just an illusion, as was the spin attack and main character aesthetics for Coco, Cortex, Crash and some others. The changed the genre and put in new concepts into the gameplay, but they didn't completely change "every single thing" like you said. Did you even notice the TNT in MOM?
