  • Interviwer said "something like a cassette we could plug into the side of our TV to give us a feed of music and video" lol, wow they didnt know it would be called DVD. All they could relate to was somehow a cassette would do it.

  • It's sad that so many people think good music is dead. I watched an interview with Jimi and he himself said you can't keep going back good music is out there right now you just need to find it. People need to stop putting down this generation and actually listen to the good stuff were making.

  • Jimi was vision life he was an angel. 40 yrs later we look to him for direction

  • Jimi was the best

  • Cheers for posting..v interesting for sure..such a shame he was only a week away from death..I still wish he was still with us..Peace ! Rx

  • He is the love of my life. </3 I wonder what the world would be like if he we're still here today.

  • a week later he died ... Why!? :'(

  • Jimi, was just a musician who wanted to play his music, but got prostituted out to the whims of the pop world as an 'entertainer', they worked him too hard, and it killed him, solution?, the "Alpha jerk", goodbye 'stupid' world . . .

  • im so glad you tube put this up we have his history jimi R I P

  • @beachhutblues why is it painful?

  • Everyone needs to have some spiritual practices in their lives, otherwise we drift toward addictive behaviour, whether it is drugs, sex, alcohol or all of the above.

  • When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

    ~Jimi Hendrix~ R.I.P. ♥

  • rest in peace jimi.

  • wow haha he wanted to do rock-classical music. That woulda been incredible.

  • Very sad to listen to...he sounds very happy and confident about himself and his music.

  • he shouldnt have watched that cursed video tape! she was all like SEVEN DAYS! and he was all like listen here cracka! You a jive well sista! lol

  • @StixZidinia777 jimi didnt talk like that.... he rarely called people cracka, he was well mannered, quite, mysterious, not a typical 1970s black person did you even watch the interview?

  • @DAEDREKWARRIOR it was meant to be a joke. lmao I'm well aware of his intellectual intelligence.

  • I love Jimi Hendrix, He was beautiful of mind, voice, music and stature, and could go on about Him all day but most has been said. Bits of funny and nostalgic, circa 29:03, imagine the price now, and amazin how much £0:7&6 - seven shillings and sixpence was worth relatively then, I cant even remember how to write it.

Also did You hear that old fashioned police car siren? the car was probably a Triumph 2000/2500 or Rover 2000? They also had a bell on them. Peace and Love to all, from Paul.

  • Other than Jimi and Stevie Ray, Pink Floyd is my Fav and I love how Jimi gives a shout out to the Floyd. In 1970 the Floyd post Sid Barret was just getting started man only if he could of seen the rest. Damn he died way to young!!!!!!!!!!

  • he is brainless at this stage.....there is no manleft....yeah the words flow but without sense....yeah sure if you make sense of it, youre dreaming...youre hoping....he is gone here...gone

  • but didn't he die September 18th? R.I.P

  • @IdalysInWonderland that would be seven days lmao

  • @portalsands

Maybe he could have Taught you English as well lol jokes

  • i wish he could have teached me guitar...

  • Jimi always speaks through his smiling face, kinda laughing the words out.... makes me grin from ear to ear!

  • @shovelpig well put man

  • It's nice to see a guy so human. It's a damn shame not only that he died so young but that there is nobody like this these days that's just a humble talented guy who doesn't crave attention all the time.

  • @WrestlingBC12 There are plenty but nowadays those guys dont make it to the top so fast anymore

  • @WrestlingBC12 BTBAM man...fucking BTBAM, they are non drug abusers, humble as fuck, and NO ONE touches them musically.. you need to do more research cuz it sucks the older generation thinks there is No music that competes with this shit back then... type in "BTBAM best solos" band name is Between The Buried And Me.. also the lyrics are insane poetry..5 professionals composing prgressive music

  • @HiPPoKryPtiC Music is really based on opinions. I like Jimi Hendrix, 30STM etc. but other people may not. People who express their opinion as fact annoy me.

  • @HiPPoKryPtiC you must be under 25.

  • @dannon2010 you must be an ass (sry man, i dont think that truthfully, but you should type in " Boot Dagger Boogie" and hear that solo a minute in) you should open up to new modern music...they did a whole cover album, with songs like Us and Them by Pink Floyd. Motley Crue, Queen, all kinds of stuff that their influences are derived from

  • @WrestlingBC12 Agreed!

  • @WrestlingBC12 I hear what you're saying dude, but surely Joe Bonamassa covers that?

  • THANKS SO MUCH ! R.I.P MASTER , AL / NYC

  • who could dislike this video? i guess people that think ke$ha is real music.....

  • Shear genius.

  • @kevoishere1 Especially that day he cut his hair...!

  • i heard most of the time he was talkin he was on drugs

  • Its sad to think how sad he was at this time. Such a genius never should have been going through those kind of emotions.

  • The Gvt. killed him. :(

  • 22:13

I want to hear "Rock & Class".

If only he had lived for another 5/10 years.

  • Another victim, of the mass murdering Debt Syndicate.

  • wow, imagine £3 to see Jimi Hendrix.

  • @carrotsandnutella

Lol, I know right!? Inflation is one hell of a bitch!

  • those four their hit the dislike button is justin bieber fans!

  • @SolarOfCore Jimi is alive, just listen to the music, the blowing wind, the pouring rain, the crashing thunder, the laughter, the tears, all of it is part of the nature that is Jimi Hendrix.

  • So much more wiser than the critics ever gave him credit for...but the fans always knew, even if some took it to idolization etc...the fans always knew because we listened to the music...genius comes through every time...Jimi, Coltrane, Beethoven, Bach etc......

  • SO articulate & expressive. Wow.

  • thumbs up if you watched the whole thing.

  • @Enjo1mydeathwish why would'nt you?.....

  • SEPTEMBER 11TH???!?!?!?!

If ya dig blues and rock guitar check out our channel on youtube-- johnnyguitar335

  • FIRST time i listened to Hendrix talk was his LAST interview sorta ironic and he is wayyyyy easier to understand then i thought! i expected a milder version of Bob Marley :P

  • He saw everything that a human can see and more.

  • It is spelled Jimi. His own spelling. Jeez.

  • Jimi saw the truth about society. I wish there are more people like that. It sounded like his music to come would of been good so sad he had to die.

  • so sad man. Such an awesome person to lose. rip jimmy

  • beautiful,talented,intelligent.....King Eternal.

happy Birthday Jimmy.... (27) so glad you chose to be here if only for a while :)

  • @TheNosugref His voice is just so unique..there isn't ANY person to date that "sounds" like him...wish he was alive today...On a "technical" note...how can I post my own comments..I have an account, but I don't see the "link". Thanks for your help...

  • Jimi Hendrix is mocking the dude like he mocks society in 'are you experienced'> He tickles the right feathers, he keeps it high, dont deny

  • Died at 27, stupid...........cant believe it :(

  • DIED FROM ALCOHOL VOMITTING WHILE ASLEEP..NOT HEROIN

  • @GIZOKS his manager admitted to killing him with a group of people a few years later but he himself died - the managger (mike jffrys) and a group of his friends went into monika's flat, a few held down jimi and one or two of them forced bottles of red wine down his throat and windpipe - some one tied a bandana (which was found with jimi) tighly around his neck. this is verified with the coroner that did jimi's atotopsy stating in 1995 that red wine poured from his stomach AND lungs.

  • @Electricspaceodyssey where did u hear this story >.>

  • @peaceoflove18 the manager drunkenly admitted to it as well as to allowing jimi's stuff to get looted as well after his death.

  • @GIZOKS of all the alcohol in jimis body - NONE of it was in his bloodstream accooring to jimi's coroner ; the motive was insurance money because jimi was going to leave the manager in question and was murdered because the manager would have "lost it all".

  • @GIZOKS DIED FROM SLEEPING PILLS >.>

  • @peaceoflove18 Yes, but he died from inhaling his vomit after drinking and drugging..

  • @TheBassplayah actually the autopsy information has come out after years... it suggest that he was drown with wine... in other words murdered. some shady business surrounding his death, no joke. looks like there's a video on the right about it >> "Jimi hendrix's death exposed" ill have to check it out

  • @DoctorSess one of the jimis death videos (the one that looks like it used bad actors to recreate the events) is terrible and i wouldnt reccomend it. there are straight up lies - jimi -was- murdered but im just throwin this out there.

  • keith Altham did the Interview I think..

  • awesome fucking interview...first time hearing this...right around the time when Band O Gypsies fizzled out..

  • I love that Hendrix loved early Pink Floyd 07:09!

  • @MeAndYourMomDOit FUNNY, WHITE WOMEN PREFER BLACK MEN, MAYBE YOU HAVE A LITTLLE :JUNGLE FEVER, TAKER CARE OF IT. OH, IS THIS RON PAUL/

  • September 11th.

  • @MeAndYourMomDOit Also, I think you meant, addict, took me a while to figure out what you were goin on about . Your spelling is fuckin rediculous, get off the crack and pull your finger out.

  • @MeAndYourMomDOit That was a piss poor effort to try and stir up people. Like, a real piss poor effort, just gotta get that across to you :) . Him being 'nigroe' as in, negro, as in african american has nothing to do with it. He had a terrible upbringing and couldn't expect much else from it, but talking shit sayin 'hes so goood and nice and a beatiful person' is just rediculous .

  • I LOVE U JIMI!!!!!....

  • Is that really true about Jimi beating people up and shit? That's crazy lol.

  • some of u r so critical of a man u kno nothing about but by mainstream news. 10% correct! Try reading his biography peroid! Jimi was named Johnny at birth his name was changed because his Dad thought his Mom named him after a boyfriend of hers. Jimi often went withoout food to feed his younger brother, as they sat alone under a bare bulb. He paid his dues many times over. It is no wonder u can't see who and what Jimi was to us as an ARTIST with a heart as big s Gold and TX.

  • Thank you for posting this priceless video. I am very grateful to you friend. maurice

  • I find it amusing that people say all this shit about being the 'kindest person' etc.

I am not sayin he is a bad performer or bad singer/guitar player I for one am a huge Jimi fan, but sayin hes super friendly etc... Is just a bit of bullshit, he bottled a girl for absolutely NO reason, he punched the drummer in the face and dragged him around stage while stomping and kicking him, he had severe anger issues... Just because hes a fabulous performer doesnt mean you have to make up shit?.

  • He is not really that high; I mean he is mentally so ahead of his time. All these haters that have posted these comments that somehow it is all just a drugged out nonsense. I mean I feel so sorry for those that have ears but don't listen--eyes but don't see. They are so sexually frustrated that their insecurities are all they ever hear and just reflect that in all their comments; just trolling around looking to barf up their quite desperation. Jimi is a visionary in so many ways.

  • @bluewhalesmusic He was clean before he died. He just sucked at speaking with his mouth, he said what he needed to say with his guitar.

  • A lot of people were and are still listening. Rest in peace Jimi.

  • cool

  • That is a really insightful interview. I love listening to it. Lets you see inside Jimi's head a bit. Love that he liked and mentioned the Floyd. He knew Syd and admired his direction with the echo units.Enjoyed it!

  • he's a down to earth person .

  • fishy fishy fishy

  • what a terrible interview. i can imagine this bloke being from smash hits or something.

  • I can't believe 13 people thumbs-uped a comment from a channel that didn't even spell Jimi's name right....among other things. GAH!!!!

  • Acid trip!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • It seems the 3 people that disliked this interview are lovers of the autotuned electronic rock/mucic thats comin out right now. Jimmy had a an electrifying soul that rocked, no vocal masking of that needed.,We are falling away from the basics. Matrix music is gaining popularity. F autotune. Jimmy we need more people like you but there will be no one that can take your place.

  • thanks Jimi.....

  • I wish I could remember him. Rest Jimi see you on the other side xx

  • ...what a sensitive guy!

  • Wow ten shillings? to see Jimi, people today would pay a thousand plus dollars to see him perform,I know I would.

  • @crystalelaineq he died of drowning.. now look your spreading conspiracy theories.. learn ur shit

  • @crystalelaineq he actually died of drowning in his own vomit

  • @YanksFan162 yeah from a gallon of wine mixed with pills that came up after te mafia left the room his bad was full of wine as was his hair and cllothing thats not a glass of wine

  • how high was he when they shot this

  • @crazyspeed19 At this point in his life he was high 24/7. Pretty sad actually.

  • Weird to think this is just a week before he died. Shame.

  • Wow. I didn't realize that Billy Cox had left The Experience right before Jimi died. I probably SHOULD HAVE known that, knowing so much about Jimi, but I didn't. Gosh, I wonder who would have become his next bass player. No one knows because Jimi himself didn't even know! Very cool to hear him talk about Pink Floyd and how he likes them. Does anyone know of any interview where he talks about Led Zeppelin? That would be cool.

  • @MattHatter At 10:40, Jimi says "There's too many Heavy songs out there nowadays,... almost to the state of unbearable" What do you think he's referring to? Possibly Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Mountain, Cactus, The Who, Black Sabbath, etc? What else could he be talking about? Perhaps he didn't like what those bands were doing. Listening to Jimi's 1970 recordings on the New Rays album, he's moving in a completely different direction. Damn, if only he would have lived...

  • @jcghooker Yeah, probably all of them. Since he passed near the end of 1970, he'd probably heard all of the more recent heavy bands that were popping up around '69-'70. Mountain played Woodstock and Jimi sat and listened to "Never In My Life" in the control room at The Record Plant and he really dug Leslie's guitar riff for the song. I REALLY wonder what he thought of Black Sabbath though! The U.K. album had been out since February and the U.S. since June '70.

  • @MattHatter Right. Hendrix did jam with Leslie West of Mountain. I'm pretty sure Jimi liked him. Leslie copied his hairstyle! And his style of playing is very similar to Clapton's. Mountain reminded a lot of people of Cream, and Hendrix was the Cream's biggest fan. He was quite upset when they broke up. Bands at this time were getting louder, especially Grand Funk. Black Sabbath started off sounding a little bit like Cream, too, so Hendrix might have dug it. Who knows?

  • @jcghooker Yeah, I have Mark Farner's biography "From Grand Funk To Grace" and he and Jimi were friends, not real close though. Jimi dug Mark's singing and the band as well.

  • 28ears old and mad a world remebeed statment , here i 54 years old and grow up with this area, beller getting bye, i wish i had some tatlene like him, bass player, hu jimmy? i here u, thats for your and they olthers that we lost, srv, cj,rat pack, elvies, jeff buckly and many more, yea drugs where a aloot more organice i thouse days, pink flode, you lov it jimmy! bye jbw

  • @crystalelaineq You are behind the times, Jimi was murdered. Look to the side in the related videos,,, there you go.

  • Thanks for posting this Steve.

  • @xhxixtxmxex your a fucking retard kid. Jimi didn't get murdered. He choked over his own vomit.

  • @lacrossucks

Actually, he was probably murdered by his manager for the insurance money. He no longer wanted to work with him, because he didn't want to be confined to pop music. The choking was the result of being held down and having bottles of wine forced down his throat, according to some accounts. Just a coincidence that Michael Jackson's doctor goes on trial today, but think about the money.

  • @lacrossucks He died from choaking on his vomit is as probable as the earth stopping mid-rotation. That was a story to cover his murder

  • @lacrossucks What expert are you? Really?.

  • awesome interview! Thanx for uploading!

  • the person that disliked this murdered hendrix..

  • i call jimi jitar shaman

  • "When things get too heavy call me helium" 10:55

  • I love this man voice,very sexy.

  • To me Jimi Hendrix was and will always be the greatest rock musician that ever lived.

  • Man he sounded like such a gentle person, and shy with his little laughs.

  • I totally agree with the Alvin Lee quote there.

  • i love this man

the world needs to take acid to see through all these illusions

  • He's really charming.

  • wonderful, intelligent and kind man. great interview. jimi you super chicken.

  • @jimifanaticKiNkii i think that chicken thing comes from dick cavetts when dick talks about janis joplin he calls her a super star, and jimi comes back yeah super chicken! i think it stems from third rock from the sun! when chickens come down from space and rule the earth! becouse there's so many sleeping people still around in 2011! by the way i'm not saying that about you! its a great comment! he is super chicken still rules!

  • Thanks. Great interview.

  • Hendrix was also a Futurist & Visionary. He sapeaks on what we are envolving 2!

  • Wow... great interview... Jimi had it totally backwards. Live shows are where you charge the money, the music is free... He would've had his mind completely blown if he lived to see today. No LSD necessary...

  • Thank you so much for posting this :)

  • 11 september...again xD

  • it would be interesting to take jimi hendrex & show him metal, or punk, rap, maybe emo-alt. & see what he says.

  • @jakex1993 yeah for sure
